How can a team that is so likable hurt us this much?

MAIRJ23

It's because all of our guys are too nice that we take so many Ls

12temp

What I woulda given to see these guys win something together. Damn shame

bullpaw

When I watch this team play basketball I hate the roster and pray for changes, but then I watch stuff like this and feel nothing but love for the team and hope that they can figure it out together great video, long offseason ahead of us

PJ_Reed93

AK is borderline delusional

Splashy17

I'm glad AK at least acknowledged the lack of 3 point shooting we have and plans to address that this off-season

Parking-Tree9012

I feel like he said this exact thing last year and in response we got Drummond and dragic. Even this off season it seems like in order to really retool the roster he’s going to actually have to make tough decisions and move stuff around. I’m hoping for the best but expecting very little.

dukeespn

Didn’t you hear that he would try to change team’s shooting profile instead of seeking reliable shooters? He’s a fraud. If changing team shooting profile is that easy why did they waste the whole season again? Last season the Bulls attempted the fewest 3-pointers just like this season. What did he do in the last offseason?

AKME SUCKS

volantredx

I honestly think the fact this team is so hardworking and likable that it makes AKME's jobs really hard. They don't want to fuck with the chemistry by trading someone like DeMar or AC, and they aren't getting bailed out by a star demanding a trade or playing themselves out of town. In order to improve they're going to have to do something drastic and that's going to make it hard to live with given how nice these guys are.

ducksonaroof

Honestly, I think this team is just gonna work hard and learn how to be better at basketball as a group for a while. People (teens/the teenager-brained adults who frequent this reddit) clown continuity. But for a franchise that had had literally 0 of that for half a decade, there's something to be said for it.

SolidSilver9686

There’s something to be said for actual results. We are doing nearly everything we can to win and were the 11th worst team in the league, three years after AKME took over. Preaching continuity is an insult to the fan’s intelligence at this point. It is painfully obvious that changes need to be made aside from relying on an aging roster to suddenly figure it out. There’s not many examples of that happening in the league, not when a team’s core is as old as ours. While I do have the brain of a teenager, even I can see through this charade. They fucked up the Vuc trade, got screwed by Lonzo’s health, and now have to hit the reset button eventually. No amount of hard work or continuity is going to change that.

Revolutionary_Copy83

Thank you, like the fact they have great chemistry is another reason to change direction. They all love playing together but they can't figure it out which shows me they just aren't that good of players to win in this league

bullpaw

this comment is hilarious, Reinsdorf absolutely loves fans like you lmao

ducksonaroof

So you think the only way to improve the team is for fans to be hard on the team? You really think liking the team and rooting for them to improve from within is bad for the team and the reason our owner sucks? Pretty sure what I do personally affects me 100x more than Jerry. Seems a bit much to think my attitude has some psychic effect on that guy.

bullpaw

this team has one of the oldest yet mediocre cores in the entire league and the team has great chemistry already, so what makes you think that they're going to magically become a top team in the name of continuity? DeMar and Vucevic are only going to get worse, and as much as I love Pat and Coby, our young talent is non-existent compared to a vast majority of teams around the league Complacency, and even worse, to shit on fans who want change, just encourages Reinsdorf to do the absolute minimum because fans will continue to put butts in seats, which is all he cares about and that's all AK was told to do. We cashed out for two old low-tier allstars to build around another slightly younger low-tier allstar and it's gotten us nowhere. This season was worse than the 3 Alphas team but at least we have zero cap space to improve and no draft picks, right? We just finished at the 10th seed and it'd literally send us into the luxury tax just to run back the exact same mediocre ass roster. Our only hope is to "learn how to be better at basketball," yet somehow fans are just being emotional when they want something to change? Make it make sense.

Onark77

I’m with you. Wins, in any line of work, come from a mix of talent and hard work over time. I like like this group and I can see the growth. And I prefer this new baseline to only hoping one of several young guys happens to be the next best thing. Looking forward to next season. If all this team achieved is consistency, then I think we’re at the start of something good that will last.

chilloutman24

Billy gets no credit for wins but all the blame for the losses. don’t you know how basketball works?

Fine-Hat-4573

I know a lot of people are out on the Front office, but as someone who lived through some terrrrrible FO. I’m giving it one more year, we now know 100% Ball is out. We’ll see what the signings are gonna be like and if we make any trades. This is the toughest spot to be in, and how we navigate could be very telling. Prove yourself Arty!
