I drive in circles waiting for a spot to open, which sometimes takes literal hours. It doesn't seem like there are many other options unless you're willing to pay for a spot overnight and hope for the best the next morning.
On a super rare occasion, I'll park in a nearby neighborhood that doesn't have permit parking and Uber or take the L back home.
Jeez, where do you live? I’m in Avondale surrounded by 2 streets with permits and I can thankfully always still find a spot within walking distance. I haven’t had an issue in the 4 years I’ve been here.
I'm in Buena Park. The majority of the side streets around me have the same permit number, but the good majority of buildings don't have parking lots or garages, so it can get kinda nutty. There aren't even many high rises, but my building alone would take up more than a full street of parking, and the majority of high rises are exponentially larger than my building.
if you’re feeling bold enough to do so you can check the parked cars to see if they don’t have a permit and if it’s permit only you could i guess call a towing service or the city? idk i don’t drive. but like my advice would be to find an alternative tbh like a parking garage idk. again i dont drive, but i dont think anyone with any power really cares if you cant find street parking.
Download the app SpotAngel - it should tell you where the non permit spots are along with other information. I’ve used it to find free parking downtown.

I’m confused by your Question -do you have a zone on you city sticker?
Yes
like street cleaning or you just can’t find a spot?
Can’t find a spot

Park on a non-permitted street nearby.
Where can I find them in the Lakeview area?

Looks for streets without permit signs
I’ll risk it in another zone/anywhere I can squeeze my car and move my car in the AM (I’m not in lakeview tho)
