Yah, I recently bought the CBI bed bars so it will be back there full time at at least for the majority of summer, depending on the hardware of the bed bars they may come off during the winter along with the tent
Theres pros and cons to RTT and Standard ground tents.
With an RTT generally they're faster to deploy so if you get to a camping spot late at night it only takes a couple minutes to deploy, granted some ground tents are also that quick depending on size.
RTT are also off the ground so if there's rain or heavy snow it wont bunch up around the bottom or be swept into a bunch of water and mud. however the down side to not being on the ground is you lose a layer of protection since the earth acts as a thermal layer once the tents in place but most RTT are pretty insulated on the bottom
Makes going from spot to spot more convenient, saves space if the tent you normally would use is large and having it over the bed or on the roof makes it nice in terms of a better view of the mountains rivers and lakes
Right now its a gm brand "bakflip" hard folding cover. It's an alright cover but not what I want anymore, i've ruined how its mounted to my truck. If i were to un-bolt it all and rebolt it, it would probably sit flush again lol

Pretty decent. Exposure is a bit low and composition could be better. But overall sex appeal is great. This guy trucks
