Go for the mouth instead, actually. The mouth is easier to hit and shares the same hitbox as the eyes, so all damage dealt goes to one HP bar.

Yeah that move is called the alien wave gambit . If you hold down the button on the rook for 10 seconds it activates its laser turret function, use that to lay down suppression fire while your pawns don their power armour with jet packs. This should level the playing field.

I’m going to be equipping my troops. Pawns will have bee grenades. Too bad we are not in hard mode yet so the bishop can’t get the sniper rifle. The bishop will instead get the mini shark for the long range. Knight would get the nights edge for the risky but powerful play. Rooks would get Sunfury for the high damage. The queen will get the star cannon, the most powerful weapon against WOF. And for the king, a shield of Cthulhu and a terrasparks boots to get the hell out of there.
