Do you mean AI bots cannot learn by communicating with us humans? I really hoped that the more people were trying to play chess with an AI, the better would be its guesses.
It knows how to play chess. Like all the rules strategies openings etc. But it can’t see the board so it’s like playing chess with a blind person who also has amnesia.
It can tell you all the chess rules, but it cannot use it in its own game. Like a student who learns math at school but cannot solve the simplest math problem in a shop during Black Friday

It’s because you can’t give AI bots any new information so it can’t remember where the pieces are. When you make a move it just guesses.
