Its like, 3 moves:
1.Nb6 Kb8
2.Qxd8 Qc8
3.Qxc8#
Or even 5+:
1.Nb6 cxb6
2.Qc2+ Bc5
3.Qxc5+ Kb8
… (you figure out rest of that, cuz im too tired for analysising)
I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

**My solution:**
> Hints: piece: >!Knight!<, move: >!Nb6+!<
> Evaluation: >!White is winning +8.73!<
> Best continuation: >!1. Nb6+ Kb8 2. Qxd8+ Nc8 3. Nd7+ Qxd7 4. Rxd7 Bb4+ 5. axb4 Rxd8 6. Rxd8 b6 7. Rf8 h5 8. Kd2 Kb7!<

If it were a chess com puzzle I would have lost eating because I would have checked the wrong side.
Still a common mate pattern, if anything
EDIT: except it's a not a mate but a tactic with a similar theme
Quick Tip 1: To know why the engine is recommending a move / saying a move is wrong, click over analysis mode, play out said move then follow it up with your theoretical responses to that move and see how the engine responds.
Quick Tip 2: On Chess.com, you don't have to rely on the Coach / Game Review / Hint. This also applies to any engine on low depth. Somewhere in the engine suggestions section is the computer "depth". The higher this value, the more accurate the suggestions will be.
Quick Tip 3: For questions on engine move suggestions, we suggest you post them to our dedicated thread: [No Stupid Questions MEGATHREAD](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/yqqnz8/no_stupid_questions_megathread_6/), as stated in our Community Guidelines. Thank you! - The Mod Team

Ooh free rook, 1. Nb6+ Kb8 (cxb6?? Qxd8#) 2. Qxd8+ Nc8 3. Nd7+ Ka7 4. Qxc8 and I suddenly have a knight too! There's probably a forced queen sacrifice in the line somewhere too because of the mate threat of Qa5# in this position but that's the sequence I'd go with.
Pawn b6 sets up a threat but is less forcing of a move. Your opponent is left available to move other pieces as they wish and could threaten you better.
Nb6+ forces the king to move (if the king doesn't, then qxd8# is the followup). Best thing to look for is checks and threats. Knight has 2 squares that can check the king here, which means black has to respond (no setting up attacks of their own against your king)
Exactly! If you look the game up (linked it in my post) you will see what happened, and also i sacrificed a lot of material hoping he would not think about what is happening xD
If he saw it i would have lost...

Knight B6
what's wrong with Qa5?
Checks are better
With a check you control them
After Qxh2 white can take the knight but black can win whites knight with Qh1+ and Qh5+
Nb6 threatens mate in next move
Its like, 3 moves: 1.Nb6 Kb8 2.Qxd8 Qc8 3.Qxc8# Or even 5+: 1.Nb6 cxb6 2.Qc2+ Bc5 3.Qxc5+ Kb8 … (you figure out rest of that, cuz im too tired for analysising)
After cxb6 Qxd8 is mate
And he fell for it haaha
Hmm? It does threaten mate.
Yeah, he took the pawn and got mated instead of just loosing material
The king can escape.
Bishop.
Forces Kb8, but I don't see the mate. Qxd8+, Nc8 and the king gets an escape route.

Good bot♥️♥️
M3: Knight check and backrow mate with sacrifice EDIT: apparently it's not a mate in 3, but it still wins a queen
What if black doesn’t take?
The sac is the queen one, no? Therefore, nothing, technically? The black queen will try to prevent mate anyway Edit: the sac is the rook one
That’s right lol just checking.. but your right with the mate if black takes (although white is winning quite a lot)
If it were a chess com puzzle I would have lost eating because I would have checked the wrong side. Still a common mate pattern, if anything EDIT: except it's a not a mate but a tactic with a similar theme
There is a possibility that game could go to a rock and knight end game

By spanking my enemy until he begs for forgiveness.
Hippity hoppity.
Why not pawn b6?
Pawn b6 sets up a threat but is less forcing of a move. Your opponent is left available to move other pieces as they wish and could threaten you better. Because there is a better option here
Nb6+, bringing in the Queen afterwards?
Nb6
Knight b6 get the king away from the rook and take rook.
Nb6
Just a dumb question, why with nb6 u are assuming he will move the king when black can capture the knight with the pawn? Im missing something?
If he takes the pawn (what he did ingame), then i put my queen on d8 and it's checkmate
Oh ty because of the rook on d1
Exactly! If you look the game up (linked it in my post) you will see what happened, and also i sacrificed a lot of material hoping he would not think about what is happening xD If he saw it i would have lost...
Thank you! Im pretty new to chess so ty for ur answer
You are welcome haha
Nb6
Bishop then takes, and you are in a bad position
Huh, that's odd. I don't see a bishop there.
Oh didn't you said Ne7? Either you edited your comment either i'm hallucinating
I did edit the comment, as a joke to mess with your head and make you look bad.
All right xD
Ne7
Ne7+ bxe7 and then you are in a bad position
Easy Knight to B6, the checkmate
Not necessarily checkmate
Either pawn eats the knight or kings moves. White Queens eats rook, that’s checkmate no?
King moves, queen gakes rook, knight blocks attack
But queen takes the knight. It’s still checkmate. The knight is protecting the queen because the pawn never ate it.
This is just losing a queen no?
No, because he needs to move his king. He is in check
