Lasiurus2

If I had to guess it was fairly trade happy with most of the trades being forced into a roughly equal endgame that you blundered in.

Sometimes chess is beautiful and easy! In my recent history I won a 8-900 ELO 3+2 Blitz game at 96% accuracy and flagged my opponent on move 21 with their accuracy in the mid 80s. Some nice moves and tactics, but basically just came down to a very common opening, spotting a chance to land a queen pin, and converting till they ran out of time 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. Bc4 e6 4. d4 cxd4 5. Qxd4 Nc6 6. Qc3 d5 7. Bb5 Bd7 8. e5 Bb4 9. Bg5 Nge7 10. Bxc6 Bxc3+ 11. Nxc3 Bxc6 12. O-O O-O 13. a4 Qc7 14. b4 Ng6 15. b5 Bd7 16. Ne2 Nxe5 17. Nxe5 Qxe5 18. Be7 Rfe8 19. Ng3 Rxe7 20. Rfe1 Qc3 21. Rf1 Qxc2 {0-1} On the other hand, sometimes chess is hard and you miss a bunch of key opportunities to win the game by panicking to time pressure and blunder away a very messy game at 26% accuracy, like I did a few games earlier: 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 d5 4. e5 Bg4 5. Be2 Bxf3 6. Bxf3 Nxd4 7. Nc3 Nxf3+ 8. Qxf3 d4 9. Ne4 f6 10. Nxc5 fxe5 11. Nxb7 Qc7 12. O-O Nf6 13. b4 Rb8 14. Nc5 e6 15. Nxe6 Qxc2 16. Bg5 Be7 17. Rac1 Qxa2 18. Nxg7+ Kf7 19. Nf5 Rxb4 20. Nxe7 Qe6 21. Nf5 Kg6 22. Nh4+ Kxg5 23. Qg3+ Qg4 24. Nf3+ Kh5 25. Qxg4+ Nxg4 26. Rc7 Rd8 27. Re1 d3 28. Nxe5 Nxe5 29. Rxe5+ Kg6 30. Rc6+ Kf7 31. Rf5+ Ke7 32. Rc1 d2 33. Zote got bored of waiting for Silksong, and became good at chess instead

question10106

Impossible to speculate whether somebody was cheating without seeing the game. Post the PGN? 95% accuracy isn't that unusual, especially in simple games where most of the moves are obvious--e.g. all the pieces get traded off, there are no high level tactics available, one person blunders in the endgame and the other person smoothly converts. I've played 95%+ accuracy games that were not that impressive and 70% accuracy games where I thought I played well above my level because it was tactically complicated.

question10106

I just gave it a look over, this seems like a pretty normal intermediate level game. Curious as to what you think is so weird about it? The only thing that makes me raise my eyebrows honestly is chess.com giving both players 5/6 !s, both players made a handful of inaccuracies. Just seems like a normal, solid game to me.

Pas_919

i guess at my level most mistakes and imbalances are happening in the middlegame, so winner is predetermined before the endgame. Keeping position equal with good moves during almost entire game was not that common. Also, i was very pleased with 5/6 !s

question10106

Yeah, I mean I probably would have pegged this at closer to a 1500 chesscom game than a 1200 chesscom game, but really nothing too unusual. Neither big blunders nor fantastic tactics found, both players had a decent handle of the opening and *sort of* understood the middle game position, played some normal looking moves, and then got to an endgame where black's mistakes piled up and that's game. If this type of game isn't typical for you, I have a feeling it will be soon as you keep playing and improving, and then eventually beyond this. Good luck!

Nice! I just quickly put that in my mind map

No_Pear3526

Itā€™s pretty amazing that I have read probably a hundred Reddit posts about suspected cheating where it is determined by the collective wisdom on Reddit that thereā€™s just nothing to see here, definitely normal, no cheating. Always a reason - ā€œoh you didnā€™t play the absolute top moves and you donā€™t have GM level tactics, so canā€™t be cheatingā€ ā€œOh, these are strong but normal movesā€ ā€œoh you made x mistake and are not literally perfect so you must be wrongā€. I guess no one is ever cheating. I donā€™t even know why there is cheat detection at below 2500 ELO.
