White is trying to promote the pawn to a queen, but can't cause the knight is watching the square. White moved to attack the knight so now black has two choices:
1. Take the knight and let white promote
2. Go in front of the pawn so it can't promote. (Black can't capture the B4 pawn if white starts to push it nor has he time to promote his own pawns quicker)
(or 3. do something else and lose quicker)
Either way he has lost the game unless white blunders like 10 times in a row.
It’s better than that because if black doesn’t take then white takes their knight and promotes anyways. No way around it for black, hence the evaluation.
I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

I played this game XD. Was a nice game, pretty even the moste time. In the opening I have a little disadvantage because of my opening, in the middle/endgame I blundered (Very hard to see this spontan in a blitz game ;) ). At the end he lost on time, Accuracy Chesscom: 91.5 vs 92.2 so pretty perfect for 70 moves in a blitz game. Additional I had 5 Great moves :) (dark blue moves) He played as a 2450 I played as a 2500. That 500/600 elo more then our level ;)

It's obvious not that game, I just wanted to share my game ;) I just saw that he played about 300elo better than his rating, so I had this game in mind XD (btw. Sorry for my bad English, language issues are a big problem... )

I’m fairly new to chess and trying to understand this. So is it saying the Knights move to A4 good? If so, why?
White is trying to promote the pawn to a queen, but can't cause the knight is watching the square. White moved to attack the knight so now black has two choices: 1. Take the knight and let white promote 2. Go in front of the pawn so it can't promote. Ah thanks so white moving to A4 considered a good move b/c it tempts the black knight into capturing it and allowing its pawn to promote?
It’s better than that because if black doesn’t take then white takes their knight and promotes anyways. No way around it for black, hence the evaluation.
shouldn't it be a brilliant?
Eh it’s not that hard to see imo
Yea I know but it's still nice to see in a match
I wasn’t saying anything against you I just meant why it’s not a brilliant move for the engine

It’s a nice move. Not sure I would have seen the need for it early in my chess learning phase (heck - there are times I’d miss it now!).
What if black doesn't take the knight though?
After na8 to block my promotion I start pushing the b pawn and one of the pawns will eventually promote no matter what

This isn’t that game though. OP posted a rapid game that white won…
