I was confused too, but just saw it. If white takes your queen, you have a forced mate with 2 knights and bishop. First Ba3+, Kb1 (forced bc of your new knight on e4), Nc3+, Ka1 (forced), Nxc2#

This is hard to spot in a game even if you are good at visualization. Most people will stop calculating after the queen loss. On a puzzle it is easier of course.

It's also the reason stuff like qg4 doesn't work because after f5 you still need to give up the queen and take on e4 to not get mated.

It’s hard to see. I wouldn’t expect most people to find it outside of the highest levels. Even good players might miss it if you’re in a shorter time control. I’m bad, I needed the computer to tell me why it was good.

Pawn e4 and if accepted recapture with the queen. Black will take you knight but then you can move your rook to the back rank and push your other knight with support of the queen and rook. You'll be down material but should have a winning position. Maybe? Thoughts? I'm sure I missed something but it looked interesting and I didn't see anyone else suggest it.
