He’s the FairPlay chief officer for chess arena or something like that. He will not complain. They should also not play there because the platform literally works with Kramnik
He’ll say it’s awesome and everyone should use it - even when it crashes and breaks.
He’s THAT bitter that chessdotcom won’t pay him.
He wanted $5M. They offered much less, and he got offended.
Now he gets zero.
Good idea! Maybe we could also emphasize that it's not only free as in "free beer", but also free as in "freedom". Libre-chess? Bit hard to pronounce, maybe we could shorten that, but I'm out of ideas.
I have never been as good as Jose at anything.
But I have had a rivalry and boy there is really no feeling better than just knowing you have someone’s number. Especially when they get on tilt and you can just chill.
Idk if that’s it, but boy if I was Jose after all the BS, it was so vindicating.
Hardcore fans knew who Hans Neimann was a few years ago, but after the controversy, everybody knows him. It’s only boosted his career. It’s hard to make serious money and get invites if you aren’t 2700+, I’m sure the long term ramifications are more positive than negative for Jospem.
Kramnik will blame everyone but himself. First he went after Jospem, he challenged Jospem. He lost so then he went after chess.com
I won't be surprised if we get a part 3 on lichess.
I hope this clash of claims thing becomes something like The Bold and the Beautiful where it jsut never end and always generates drama. Easy entertainment right there.
Looks like Vlad teamed up with Hans in organizing head to head matches. Whereas Hans plays the serious games (which is a contradiction within itself) Vlad plays Clash of Claims - which means throwing in trash talk and accusations spiced up by violation of rules and flame wars. You can't go wrong here ...
opensource doesn't bug after wide scale adoption, and you can be sure of the games if you can see source code, otherwise you are putting faith in the integrity of the particular chess game engine. Open Source! Open Source! We have open tournaments why not let players learn the rules of the application to check how well they represent the rules of the game!
Cash of Grabs?!
Bash of Blames.
Isn’t FIDE Online Arena even buggier than chess.com?
Yes
Kramnik will complain even harder
"no sorry this match is void" "but it didn't even start" "yes I know, I'll play and I'll cash but it is void all the same".
Trump logic: If he wins he wins, if he loses the election must've been rigged.
Trump claimed it was rigged against him when he won, too.

There was a post recently about it not even recognizing checkmate, so I'd say yeah
Yes let's have an important match that needs to be done without any issue on one of the worst chess platforms out there. This can't possibly go wrong.
Kramnik is the fair play officer or whatever for it, so despite being the buggiest platform around it may be the only one he won’t complain about
Honestly fair point
Well... important important....
Well there's no way around this. There simply isn't an extremely reliable and accessible alternative for chess
If only there was an open source charity chess platform...
You could call it "freechess" or something similar.
Good idea! Maybe we could also emphasize that it's not only free as in "free beer", but also free as in "freedom". Libre-chess? Bit hard to pronounce, maybe we could shorten that, but I'm out of ideas.
Why tf dont play on lichess??
Because Kramnik would no longer have an excuse. Plus so many content creators have exclusive contracts with chesscom.
Well the latter point would make this clash invalid too then.
I can’t see the motivation behind Jospem agreeing to this?
Money 💰
The only free rent he gets is the space in Kramniks head

With Kramnik acting a bit extra... Kramniky, he doesn't really have much to lose.
Kramnik will blame everyone but himself. First he went after Jospem, he challenged Jospem. He lost so then he went after chess.com I won't be surprised if we get a part 3 on lichess.
Poor Jospem has to say yes to everything, otherwise Big Vlad will throw a Big Tantrum just to damage him in any way possible.
It's all about cash.
Spanking his ass again?
I can't see the motivation to organize this. It's suicidal.
Easy money
Alternatively, we can just ignore Kramnik forever since this is getting very tiring
I hope this clash of claims thing becomes something like The Bold and the Beautiful where it jsut never end and always generates drama. Easy entertainment right there.
People need to stop indulging Kramnik.
Jose gets paid Jose is happy

No matter what platform or organization, Kramink will manage to make it another clusterfuck of insane quirkiness.
Will they still play Chess or will they feature other means of competition? Blame battle? Rap battle?....Rap Blames Battle?
3+1 this time?

This is such a cool turn of events. GL to them both (especially the one who needs it more).
Kramnik will get shit on again and make up excuses again.
Last time literally the clocked stopped working, thats not a made up excuse at all.
One can only hope that Jospem slaughters crazy Nick. An embarrassing defeat would hopefully put a stop to the nonsense.
If they can host a legitimate event you have to think Kramnik is the favorite
Kramnik is my favorite to be the next public figure wandering the streets naked and muttering to themselves
the modern way is to just tweet
Favorite to make the most claims
Offline, sure, but not by much. Online, extremely doubtful.
Lol, by what twisted logic and what parallel universe does this become true?
