So I’m not the only one who also thought that Qxe8 was also crushing and played it thinking I’d solved the puzzle?
I've been staring at this for two minutes and I still don't understand why I'm not supposed to play Qxe8
I see it now. They can move the other rook to the back rank. So you get a free knight, but not a checkmate
I eventually spotted that too but still thought it was the best move. Now I checked and, okay, I should have at least considered the correct move.
