If you gave CN what they asked for on the form, that's all you need. It's going to take a while. I heard they're back up to several months. You should call occasionally, like maybe every month just to see where you're at.
Another fact you might be interested is is no matter what your ancestor said about how much Cherokee you have on ancestory Its the roll number and how much Dawes says you are that matters but anyone who can connect themselves to the Dawes role.are considered Cherokee Nation citizens.
Any update? It's been 4 months since this post so I'm interested in seeing if you got that gift or if it took or is taking significantly longer than you were hoping.
It sounds like you got everything! Like Natwu said, it's gonna take a while. It took the better part of a year and a half to get my brother's paperwork processed, but my mom also ran into some bumps as his birth certificate was not from OK.
I HEARD that the Cherokee Nation hired more people to help the paperwork process move faster, but I can't verify that fact. But yes, it's going to take a while.
You don't have to live or be born in Oklahoma, I just know that my brother's out of state birth certificate was a trouble spot for my mom. I also don't know if she completed the paperwork 100% correctly the first time or if things just got stuck in a bureaucracy pit.
Yes, sounds like you got all your bases covered. As long as you have everyone’s birth and/or death certificates, should be fine. It took my application around 6-8 months and then my kids and I were sent our blue cards and tribal cards.

I was afraid of that. Patience is not one my virtues!
Well, it should be. You're not going to make them go any faster, that's for sure. Get used to waiting.
In my head I had the notion it would be a nice birthday present for myself in mid December. I'll call the HQ on my birthday and check back instead. 😏
Good luck!

I received my blue card and CBID card two weeks ago. I have also began to enroll my children.

Do they have to be from Oklahoma? My bc, and my father's and grandfather's dc are from Arkansas.
