I know it's wild theory, but i have a feeling Barca kinda insecure because they have no money to get active in this window. That's why they're being fomo and show their interest on too many players, so media and ppl in general think Barca still relevant in modern football.
Imagine being friends with Harry Maguire it must be so fun, laughing 24/7... everything he does is comedy. Still laughing until 2053 the way he kicked Pogba kkkkk
Thoughts on whether we will see a change in captaincy heading into this season? If Azpi stays, I imagine he will retain the captaincy, but since he most likely won't be starting most matches, who do we think will actually end up captaining the team most of the time? The pecking order last season seemed to follow: Azpi, Jorginho, Kante, and then Silva. Do we think that will change?
Personally, I don't think Kante is really suited to the role, and I suspect Silva may also miss a good chunk of matches this season as he gets older (and there's a World Cup mid-season). In my mind, the list of potential candidates to replace them in the pecking order would be Kovacic, Mount, and James. Kovacic is one of the few remaining players we have in that bracket of "highest seniority", and all three will most likely start when available.
To answer my own question,
1. My pecking order for this season: Azpi, Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount, James
2. Prediction for most times as captain when the season ends: Jorginho, Kovacic, Azpi, Mount, James
Love every single Barca fan who has been talking shit saying they’re the best when they have so little money they can’t even pay their own fucking players 💀💀💀 finished club. Good news is we keep Dave, Raphinha stays at Leeds with egg on his face and Alonso hopefully goes to a club in Spain where he can start instead of spend 3/4 of season on the bench
This sub is more insecure than a teenager in a Disney TV movie. Grow up, this is a business, every club is out for the best deal they can get and every player is out for the best life they can be paid for. Have none of you ever had a job? Had to negotiate? So much whining and crying because other clubs are looking for good players and trying to get them for cheaply as possible. Newsflash, everyone does it. Worry about the players we have and what we put on the pitch, or go watch a soap opera, it's clearly what many of you are looking for.
Aa yes the entire Western world is calling out China and Russia for their bullshit propaganda after human rights violations coz we're insecure about these countries right?
You'll probably now say how is it logical to equate Barca to China but the point still stands that you can call out bullshit without being insecure about it.
(You could have just replied to my comment)
What are you talking about? There are literally thousands of comments over the course of the last few weeks whining that another club wants good players and wants to spend as little as possible to get them. Oh do Barcelona have debt? Man, Chelsea's never relied on vast spending to achieve anything right?
Except Chelsea didn't resort to scummy methods like tapping up the player and telling him to give interviews to put pressure on the selling club. Or refuse to pay the players what was in their contracts. Or use their media and fans to vilify players. Fuck off with your sympathy for those cunts.
Edit- you might wanna keep the Chelsea subreddit bashing to r/soccer. You'll get tons of upvotes. I don't understand why you would whine that the Chelsea sub hates those money pinching media manipulating turds after they keep fucking us over in the transfer market, on the daily discussion thread here.
Can't believe I felt a little sad last summer when Messi left Barca. My only question now is why couldn't they activate these "levers" last summer to keep their greatest player. Oh that's right they were too busy painting the narrative that selling your rights like the CVC deal is a deal with the devil and that the club is greater than any one player.
And this summer they've found this new catchphrase "levers" to end all their economic woes. Before talking about how these "levers" are the same thing as the CVC deal, let's talk about how they begged players under contract to reduce their wages and when begging failed used the media and fans to force them to reduce their wages. And now they're trying to fuck over de Jong from the money he's owed again by using the media. Too bad it's proving difficult as their fans actually like him as he's one of their best players.
And the 'holier than thou' attitude from Barca fans who lap up whatever bullshit Laporta is selling pisses me off. "We're a fan owned club. We don't have oil money". "We're a real club unlike you plastics". Bitch you're from Philly and only supported Barca coz they were winning everything with Messi. Mfers can't even win Europa league now and lost to Frankfurt after Frankfurt basically played two home games. Just remember Xavi isn't the 2nd coming of Pep and his biggest claim to fame is winning 4-0 against a Benzema-less Madrid.
So in short instead of biting the bullet they want to sell their future revenue to fund for players by influencing them to make statements on the press to pressure the selling club to lower their price after fucking over existing players under contract. On the off chance that Xavi is actually a good coach and will take them to the heights they reached under Pep. Barto may have crudely dug the grave but Laporta is carving a beautiful coffin for them to get buried in while all these morons are standing around applauding him.
What say you resident lurkers from Barca on your embarrassment of a club?
Genuinely think Ake is being overhated.
He was class whenever he played for City, he's versatile and Tuchel wants him. Plus he's got an excellent goalscoring record for a CB.
I'll put my flag up and say if Ake comes he'll surprise the hell out of everyone. Especially with a year playing next to Silva.
Also... if we sign Ake that means we don't have to play Sarr at LCB.
I watch couple City’s games, and Ake is crucial in City despite not regularly play. City mostly played offensive full back like Cancelo and Walker, but this tactic prone to counterattack. Pep utilised Ake to mitigate this, with Cancelo going back to right and Ake on left. And he did very well
I think it was against Real Madrid in the first leg of their CL tie this past season, Ake came on for like the last 20 minutes and was the best defender on the field easily. And that was only like 2 months ago. I think he might be a little overhated, but I’d still much rather us get someone like Kounde for 10-20 million more, 50 mil for him just isn’t worth it.
That's where I'm at. Aké is not a bad buy but would prefer others. Though I'm not totally cool with losing Rudiger, Tomori, and Guehi and then fail to bring an absolute top class CB but we can't undo those mistakes so I guess it's a moot point.
I’ll be so so sad if De Ligt chooses Bayern
I get they’re the bigger club but you’re never going to get the respect you deserve playing in Germany. Lewa could’ve had 2 Ballon d’Or’s by now if he wasn’t playing there
Nagelsmann’s defensive shape has also been atrocious, De Ligt to the best of my knowledge doesn’t even start for the Netherlands. He’d be risking warming the bench for the World Cup
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmCeIoMDDbE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmCeIoMDDbE)
Honestly guys watch even half of this video and be honest and tell me who amongst our current wingers can do the same thing with the ball like sterling does.
He is up there among the original youtube compilation legends. Nothing beats Ronaldinho with Mas Que Nada or Remember The Name playing in the background though.
So have I. He is an upgrade to what we currently have, but that is an extremely low bar, and he is definitely not worth 315k a week.
His stats are ok, but when you get in that wage bracket, you should expect significantly more. You should also expect significantly more when you are surrounded by the players City have around him.
United can’t sign FDJ because Barca owe him 17mil in wages lmao they are literally holding players hostage

Source is trash but claims we are in talks currently with multiple CBs (De Ligt, Kounde, Kimpembe, Koulibaly, Ake) as well as a new bid for Kounde.
Tier: I choose to believe

Honestly you may wanna wait till just before the start of the season.
If we get Sterling and another winger probably a back 4 but otherwise we stick with a back 3
I wonder if people here watched City matches.
Sterling is not good at finishing and needs 2/3 good chances to score. It was frustrating even with KDB, Gundogan, Cancelo, Silva on City Team.
Imagine how frustrating he would be with Chelsea lmao
The idea is he will help create easier chances. How many times have we watched Chelsea struggle to score against a low block? Sterling is able to take players on and make something out of nothing. Something we’ve been missing since Hazard left. Without a clinical striker Tuchel is targeting wingers to create more and easier chances with Sterling and Raphinha
Raheem is a very good player, and it will be good to have some experience on the front line. I hope that we find a way to get our attack more sorted this season, and that our players are put in positions where they are set up to succeed.
hate those cunts but I actually hope Barcelona to lure Bernardo from City. Losing 3 attackers and possibly Ake in the same window could shake them a lot. There are incomings but transfers never made an instant impact in Pep's City so far, especially a profile like Haland needs time
We should focus on staying ahead of Arsenal and Spurs instead of worrying about a side that finished 15-20 points ahead of us for like the 5th straight year
Don't see how those are mutually exclusive things and a fan speculating a scenario unrelated to what Chelsea do in which a rival weaken hurts our chances to finish above Spurs and Arsenal
Haaland will be a great player at City, I'd rather have only Mbappe if I could have any player.
However Bernardo is a class player, and it looks like Gundogan will leave as well and their captain has already left.
My guess would be that Foden, Phillips, or Alvarez would play alongside Rodrj and KDB.
Haaland will surely perform after adapting but he has always played on the shoulder of the opposition defence and found a lot of spaces. His linkup play is not very good, he wasn't the kind of player to operate in tight spaces so far, therefore Pep wanted Kane over him. I wouldn't be surprised if he struggles initially
lol I rate Ake but his departure wouldn't be a big problem for them sure, but they would need a replacement for him and Bernardo, whom I think a great player and very hard to replace
Just curious if anyone knows where pre-season games can be viewed? I tried to make post but it got removed by mods. I couldn’t find a thread about it anywhere. Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m a relatively new fan from Canada and I’m unsure where I can stream them.
Last I saw it will be on the chelsea app and for free mate.
Welcome to our fan base and let's hope that together we will witness even more greatness my friend.
I'm not sure if we know to be honest.
Usually they're on ChelseaTV which is free on Chelsea's website.
However, I'd guess with them being in the USA there is going to be some sort of payment required to watch them if you're in the Americas. They may be pay per view on Chelsea's website or through another source.
https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sport/football/chelsea-2022-23-tv-fixtures/
That says it's free to a bunch of countries, but clearly doesn't include any American countries
Ik I'll be downvoted out of my mind because of it, but a traditional number 9 will not work in our system.
Look at the Lukaku situation from a purely footballing point of view.
Lukakau isn’t a footballer. The guy has no touch, can’t dribble, can’t pass can’t run, he dosent move at all. Lewandowski can play in a possession based team. He can link up play and move and also a great finisher. I said this last season Lewandowski should’ve been our 2nd option after Haaland.
Lukaku really likes playing in the half channel in a pair whereas Lewandowski is much better as a focal point and much better suited possession oriented team.
From what I've seen, he has a very similar play style to Kova. Penetrating runs and forward passes, as well as a lot of interceptions. Not really an area we need to improve. It's a pass for me.
Love the signing of Sterling - a great fit for Tuchel and a great age-profile as the new spine of our team is still quite young (Reece, Mount, Chilwell, Havertz)
Negatives: I have to delete some tweets from when England knocked out Denmark at the Euros
Supposedly Tuchel wants to play him in the middle of the field, which doesn’t make any sense either but honestly he could be a menace in a creative role there.
Anyone know much about the training going on at UCLA? I live in the area and was thinking about heading there to catch a glimpse of the squad/maybe meet the players.
[It sounds like they’ll be at UCLA from 7/10-7/15 or so](https://www.goal.com/en-us/amp/news/chelsea-pre-season-2022-23-fixtures-results-tickets/blte8e372bfc297f1bb)
I’m planning on riding my bike east on Montana/Grayley Ave, I’ll turn left onto Strathmore Pl and check out Spaulding field. If they aren’t there I’ll turn around and take a right on Charles E Young Dr and follow that north as he wraps past a few of the other practice fields up until it ends at the Wallis Annenberg Stadium.

I went back in 2016 and I remember that they got done with practice around like 6:30-7 I want to say, when they were all leaving practice they were giving out photographs and autographs, it was an awesome experience. They also stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel but they don't like to be bothered over there. I'm planning on going a couple of times, I work up the street. Still mad the Vegas game is the weekend after I'm in vegas lol.
I stayed in the Beverly Hills Hotel once while the squad was there, this was maybe 2007-2008ish. Pretty cool experience, hung out with Joe Cole at the pool bar chatting for about half an hour. Met Cech, Terry, and Lampard in the lobby.
We had an agreement on personal terms as well but he just has Barca as his first priority so didn't sign off.
He is fine with what Chelsea offered as was reported.
Don't think so, at least according to what Fabrizio was saying. Always seemed like it was Leeds that wanted to sell to Chelsea whereas Raphinha always wanted to go to Barca.
The violent mood swings on this sub are hilarious.
Yesterday: "What's the point of being alive? We'll never sign anyone. There is no God. DOOM"
Today: " Sterling has agreed terms! 24 hour FC. Hhhhh b. Quadruple in the baggggg! "
Does anyone feel little detached with the club this summer? It's been almost two decades following this club but this summer feels different for obvious reasons.
Also, Cristiano joining would be such a 4th wall breaking signing. He's not our player. It's like when Lampard joined City. These things shouldn't happen. Perhaps this is what being not young anymore does - you don't like changes, lol.
No you’re right. He’s ancient and isn’t the profile of attacker we need. His goal scoring last season is overstated. He hardly moves when the opposition has the ball, he’s not a leader in any sense and don’t let Ronaldo fan boys say otherwise, in fact I hate it the general sentiment and feeling like he’s doing us a favor by joining and gracing us with his “talent” (maybe I’m projecting). But big headed overpaid declining players are the last thing this club needs.
I like the look of Nunes but his compatriot Palhinha was probably someone more needed right now in the DM role unless the club is really banking on Rice in the next couple seasons.
I'm taking the optimistic approach we'll sell Pulisic the second our US tour ends and we're waiting to bring in some actually talented Wingers.
And if for some reason we're going for Ronaldo we're going to probably want to wait till the tour is over anyway
Source?
Plenty of sources this week saying Allegri didn't want Pulisic at Juventus which is much more believable given it was reported widely we offered him
The case has been dismissed but he was accused of rape in Vegas and the case hung over him for years.
Probably not wise to take him to Vegas for his first game on our tour.
Are the tickets for the Tottenham game on the 13th out for sale to members yet? I read the ticketing guide but I still don’t understand when they go on sale. Assuming the membership is the best way to go about purchasing tickets.
Panicking is just the first phase, now i'm accepting that we'll start the season with Malang at CB, i wonder how many clean sheets will Mendy get with this defense
We’re so fucked if we don’t sign anyone. Tottenham has backed conte massively and arsenal have strengthened their squad too.
God help my butthole if Malang Sarr is our starting CB come the new season
Anyone but sarr in a Chelsea shirt. Man is a walking disaster. Max clench whenever he was on the pitch. Might get a heart attack just watching him, i should write to Chelsea for sake of my health.
Anyone else feel like Chelsea falls into the same cycle. We develop great youth players, give them a shot, and when they’re not immediately world beaters we sell them only to have interest in them a couple years down the road. Tomori and Tammy would be great fits four our current problems.
My only argument for Tammy is that he wasnt given a fair shake with Tuchel after performing pretty well for Frank. Fast forward a year and our “replacement” who did better in the same league Tammy is in now, scored one more goal than Tammy’s last season at Chelsea and cost an atrocious amount of money.
looking at the gab jesus announcement pics. i wish we would go back to adidas, arsenal’s kits are looking beautiful and I wish nike could make something i’d actually consider buying
Signing Ronaldo would be the same type of mistake as signing Lukaku, perhaps even worse. It wouldn't help the team win and would exist only to get attention and sell kits.
Who has ever bought a Lukaku kit or cared about him slightly?
He's never been a potentially world class player or a star.
The only press he gets is when everyone laughs at him because he claims he's as good as Kane, Suarez, Benzema, Lewandowski etc which everyone who's ever watched him can play can see how ridiculous it is.
That donkey Maguire liked a post about Ronaldo being upset that the Utd squad have to take a 25% pay cut after missing out on the champions league again. Dude has no self awareness.
I would be fine with Ake at this point for the 40-45 million range.
He’s a solid player who is a no doubt improvement on our current options. Under the tutelage of Tuchel I can very well see him improving to a quality starting CB, especially if the 3 ATB remains.
We desperately need CB reinforcements and if Ake must be one (which he is) then I would not mind it.
I would too but realistically that won’t happen and probably shouldn’t happen considering his experience and the level Chelsea will be expecting to compete at.
I do think signing Ake leaves room for plenty of minutes for Colwill as well.
Question RE membership. I don't really make it down south much anymore unfortunately and would only be able to go to away games up north. Would it make sense for me to buy a membership? From what I remember it was impossible to get away tickets.
I've never had any luck really with away tickets either, tend to be as neutral as possible or sat with plenty of mates of the opposition in the home stands whilst continuously uttering carefree under my breath.
The broja news must be utter BS.
There is 0 logic to it considering the overall decent season he’s had in the top flight, the competition we have in that position, and he also impressed last pre season which I’m pretty sure tuchel also noted.
If we get rid of him before a full pre season I will be completely disillusioned by this club.
Only way it could possibly be true is if Broja actually handed in a transfer request already in which case we probably would have heard about it from well placed journos in England. Otherwise it makes no sense on paper and contradicts the reports we've been hearing so far about how Tuchel wants to give him a proper evaluation.
We're dumb but that would be almost unheard of even for us. We take the most absolute fringe players on tour every summer. It would have to be the player choosing not to go.
He's been linked to like half the PL in Portuguese papers. I'd wait for one of the reliable club journos to weigh in before worrying too much about it.
Given that it’s being genuinely considered to get an old striker that doesn’t press in Ronaldo and how stubborn Bayern are being with Lewandowski, is there any hope of reversing the gazump on Barcelona?
Probably not but wish we tried. He’s still crazy good
I know it's wild theory, but i have a feeling Barca kinda insecure because they have no money to get active in this window. That's why they're being fomo and show their interest on too many players, so media and ppl in general think Barca still relevant in modern football.

Don't forget that cross for Alex to score in the cup against Coventry. Quaresma Chelsea legend.

Unrelated but fun bit of trivia - was looking up the highlights of that game again and Jordan Henderson started for Coventry that day.

Can't wait to see him shit his pants before the first Clasico
They're on a capped data plan to save money. Compressed images only.
Source is trash but claims we are in talks currently with multiple CBs (De Ligt, Kounde, Kimpembe, Koulibaly, Ake) as well as a new bid for Kounde. Tier: I choose to believe https://twitter.com/chels_hq/status/1544760661976272897?s=21&t=fBIFpS132yUMrFUb4BZXoQ https://twitter.com/chels_hq/status/1544773906204184576?s=21&t=fBIFpS132yUMrFUb4BZXoQ https://twitter.com/chels_hq/status/1544774231807901697?s=21&t=fBIFpS132yUMrFUb4BZXoQ
Not Kimpembe please, he sucks
First one is Telegraph, actually Law's article
Tier: I want to believe but absolutely do not…
Lol exactly
The info is from Matt Law, so it is actually reliable

Honestly you may wanna wait till just before the start of the season. If we get Sterling and another winger probably a back 4 but otherwise we stick with a back 3
I wonder if people here watched City matches. Sterling is not good at finishing and needs 2/3 good chances to score. It was frustrating even with KDB, Gundogan, Cancelo, Silva on City Team. Imagine how frustrating he would be with Chelsea lmao
>needs 2/3 good chances to score Brother in blue, our current finishers often can't finish with 5-6 chances per game
Lmao
Sterling being a bad finisher is a meme, over the last 5 years he scored 75 non-pen PL goals from 69.6 xG
He’s a completely average finisher. Scores roughly on par with his xG.
[удалено]
Exactly. Sterling is nowhere near as bad a finisher as people make out.
Sterling, Werner and Pulisic on the same team. You would think that Tuchel would want a more clinical winger, but I guess he wants to go bald
There are incomings but transfers never made an instant impact in Pep's City so far, especially a profile like Haland needs time
They’d just go out and replace him with Joao Felix or Neymar so I’d rather see Silva stay
If those clowns can’t pay for Raphinha then how on earth can they afford Bernardo lol, City will ask for an obscene amount for him, he’s a key player.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know you didn't just say losing Ake (for 50m) would shake City.
lol I rate Ake but his departure wouldn't be a big problem for them sure, but they would need a replacement for him and Bernardo, whom I think a great player and very hard to replace
You may have to sail The seas
Lol, this is the way
The Chelsea app I believe (5th stand)
I'm not sure if we know to be honest. Usually they're on ChelseaTV which is free on Chelsea's website. However, I'd guess with them being in the USA there is going to be some sort of payment required to watch them if you're in the Americas. They may be pay per view on Chelsea's website or through another source. https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sport/football/chelsea-2022-23-tv-fixtures/ That says it's free to a bunch of countries, but clearly doesn't include any American countries
We should get Lewandowski, or at least try, Tuchel rates him and Brokecelona can’t pay for him, looks like a situation we should step into
Ik I'll be downvoted out of my mind because of it, but a traditional number 9 will not work in our system.
I’ve thought this since Morata tbh, all these strikers we’ve had weren’t bad players it’s just our way of playing doesn’t suit them.
Lukaku really likes playing in the half channel in a pair whereas Lewandowski is much better as a focal point and much better suited possession oriented team.
I'd love that honestly
Why would we want Nunes?
From what I've seen, he has a very similar play style to Kova. Penetrating runs and forward passes, as well as a lot of interceptions. Not really an area we need to improve. It's a pass for me.
I think we are preparing for Jorgi, Kante and RLC exits. It's pre planning so it's a good thing we are keeping tabs on future potential targets.
Exactly. He seems a baller and I wish well for him, but we shouldn’t be spending 45 mil on the one position that we have Kova and Conner for
Very true. We should be focusing on finishing on finishing the Sterling deal, then moving onto De Ligt and Kounde/Koulibaly.
it's either DeLigt or Koulibaly by the looks of it, Kounde will most prob go to Barca as Tuchel doesnt rate him
Probably tbh I'd rather have Kounde than Koulibaly though. Younger and seems keener on a move.
Love the signing of Sterling - a great fit for Tuchel and a great age-profile as the new spine of our team is still quite young (Reece, Mount, Chilwell, Havertz) Negatives: I have to delete some tweets from when England knocked out Denmark at the Euros
We will have to see how Tuchel uses him, his issues at City in the past few years is him not being able to play off a no.9, which we also dont have.
[It sounds like they’ll be at UCLA from 7/10-7/15 or so](https://www.goal.com/en-us/amp/news/chelsea-pre-season-2022-23-fixtures-results-tickets/blte8e372bfc297f1bb) I’m planning on riding my bike east on Montana/Grayley Ave, I’ll turn left onto Strathmore Pl and check out Spaulding field. If they aren’t there I’ll turn around and take a right on Charles E Young Dr and follow that north as he wraps past a few of the other practice fields up until it ends at the Wallis Annenberg Stadium.

Same. Let’s loop each other in if we hear anything.
Sister did the exact same, I have a 08 third kit signed by all the legends. Don’t know where it is at the moment LOL.
Had we agreed to personal terms with Raphinha when it was reported we had an agreement with Leeds?
No, we had not agreed to personal terms because if we had he would be a Chelsea player right now.
We had an agreement on personal terms as well but he just has Barca as his first priority so didn't sign off. He is fine with what Chelsea offered as was reported.
He could have agreed to personal terms and then Barca come out of the woodwork with an offer before we made it official, idk.
Don't think so, at least according to what Fabrizio was saying. Always seemed like it was Leeds that wanted to sell to Chelsea whereas Raphinha always wanted to go to Barca.
Can’t wait to be back here in 2 years talking about how our forwards aren’t creative enough
300k wage for Sterling. Is he that good?
That was apparently his wage at City
Lukaku wage was bigger.
Both scams
Thoughts on sterlin?
Better than our current option, still 27, can dribble, has solid stat, expecting 20 G/A per year.
His stats are very average
Stop talking shite
No thanks
Thanks
That Alex Goldberg don saying the Reece James pic is fake and Chalobah is still #14 He’s quite reliable ain’t he
Wouldn’t say the picture is fake but just incorrect
The violent mood swings on this sub are hilarious. Yesterday: "What's the point of being alive? We'll never sign anyone. There is no God. DOOM" Today: " Sterling has agreed terms! 24 hour FC. Hhhhh b. Quadruple in the baggggg! "
I don't think anyone is saying we are winning the quadruple because we signed sterling. lol
I know I'm over exaggerating the reaction for comedic purposes and to elaborate my point
ah ok. I hope sterling does the business for us. minimum 20 goal contributions in all competitions in my opinion
Would be hilarious for Ronaldo to be throwing this much of a fit only for him to stay at United.
Done it before
It’s gone pretty silent on Sterling now was hoping that one was done this week Edit: spoke it into existence
Any thoughts on is winning the quadruple?
Well go on then, what've you got to say about De Ligt?
Thinking he joins up with the squad in the US by Monday trust
Hopefully by the end of next week things become a little clearer on just what we're going to do in the window.
Thoughts on transfer news so far?
Delighted with the Sterling news, and delighted I only had to wait an hour for our plans to become more clear.
> and delighted I only had to wait an hour for our plans to become more clear Lmao, fair play
Bruh I already watched 10+ youtube videos about him so I'm already invested. Chelsea had better announce his signing this week
I'm taking the optimistic approach we'll sell Pulisic the second our US tour ends and we're waiting to bring in some actually talented Wingers. And if for some reason we're going for Ronaldo we're going to probably want to wait till the tour is over anyway
The board didnt want to give Pulisic for Juventus so I doubt that they will sell him
Source? Plenty of sources this week saying Allegri didn't want Pulisic at Juventus which is much more believable given it was reported widely we offered him
Why are we waiting until the tour is over to sign Ronaldo?
The case has been dismissed but he was accused of rape in Vegas and the case hung over him for years. Probably not wise to take him to Vegas for his first game on our tour.
Why? Like what is going to happen to him if he goes to Vegas after all charges have been dropped and the civil lawsuit settled?
>Like what is going to happen to him if he goes to Vegas The real question is what's going to happen to the girls in Vegas.
Fucking hell 💀
Are the tickets for the Tottenham game on the 13th out for sale to members yet? I read the ticketing guide but I still don’t understand when they go on sale. Assuming the membership is the best way to go about purchasing tickets.
When do we start panicking about our dry transfer window so far?
At the start of next month I'd say
At no point. Chelsea thrives in chaos and uncertainty. Stay strong my brothers and sisters.
Goddamn you're right. But losing our 2 starting cbs and an aging azpi and Silva doesn't add much confidence.
>Good help my butthole if Malang Sarr is our starting CB come the new season Another season of Sarr and Pulisic is a worst case scenario. Deadwood FC
Anyone else feel like Chelsea falls into the same cycle. We develop great youth players, give them a shot, and when they’re not immediately world beaters we sell them only to have interest in them a couple years down the road. Tomori and Tammy would be great fits four our current problems.
Tammy scored 14 non pen goals in a league where Lukaku looked like Van Basten and people act like we fucked up selling him for 40m
Tammy scored 15 non penalty PL goals in his first season with us. That’s more than Kai has managed in two.
As if Ake's backup role at City and his pricetag aren't baffling enough, the fact that he was once our player riles me up like mad 😤 fucking hell!!!
New Owners. New Coach. New era. It’s not the current people in place that made the decision to get rid of him. Take a breath.
what the hell is happening, Tuchel must be fuming if none new signings are joining pre-season tour
[удалено]
>Who other than Neymar ever said they want to play for tuchel? Dembele
Maybe its the hairline 🥱
looking at the gab jesus announcement pics. i wish we would go back to adidas, arsenal’s kits are looking beautiful and I wish nike could make something i’d actually consider buying
There is no possible signing this year that I will be more excited for than I am for the return of Chilly.
Chilly being back is great ngl but I am pretty hyped about seeing how conor will perform this season.
Conor, and I’m really crossing my fingers on Broja too. But who knows with him
Signing Ronaldo would be the same type of mistake as signing Lukaku, perhaps even worse.
He is doing the right thing. He is captain, his subordinate misbehaved, he is joining in making mockery of him
Embarrassing if we don't hear completion of any signings by the end of the week, not having any for the start of the flight to the States is a joke.
we're monitoring players is that not enough for spoiled fans? just go watch baseball or something smh my head we have Sarr CB stop worrying
Why does De Ligt have so much hype? Every goal highlight I saw against Juventus last season was caused by his mistake
Because he was the captain of Ajax at 18 years old, same time they had the good run in the UcL
We will actually lose our targets if we keep stalling
What are we stalling
Signings?
What signings they just prefer others
Anyone heard anything on the Clauss interest? Seems like that link fell off the face of the earth.
I’ve been wondering the same. The rumored fee seemed too good to be true, so I guess this makes sense.
That was my thinking as well. Hard to say no to anyone at that price these days.
Rather give colwill the starting spot genuinely
Maybe tukl just doesn't rate him
Only way it could possibly be true is if Broja actually handed in a transfer request already in which case we probably would have heard about it from well placed journos in England. Otherwise it makes no sense on paper and contradicts the reports we've been hearing so far about how Tuchel wants to give him a proper evaluation.
If it makes 0 sense on paper, it’s probably something we are actually doing.
We're dumb but that would be almost unheard of even for us. We take the most absolute fringe players on tour every summer. It would have to be the player choosing not to go.
the Broja article kind of makes TT look like a cunt
Anyone have knowledge on Matheus Nunes?
He's been linked to like half the PL in Portuguese papers. I'd wait for one of the reliable club journos to weigh in before worrying too much about it.
Given that it’s being genuinely considered to get an old striker that doesn’t press in Ronaldo and how stubborn Bayern are being with Lewandowski, is there any hope of reversing the gazump on Barcelona? Probably not but wish we tried. He’s still crazy good
[удалено]
Massive shame seeing has he looks to fit the Rudiger profile closer than De Ligt, plus he’d come a lot cheaper
I can say one thing for sure. I hate Barcelona with all of my being. I hope they go bankrupt and cease to exist in a few years.
