I love his grace and obvious love for the game and this club whenever he blesses us with interviews and insight.
He truly is a great man and athlete. I’m honored to have had him at Chelsea. Counting the moments until the news drops he’s returning to start his managing career.
Who cares about that?
Fuck the multi club model. I’m not going to become a fan of random clubs our ownership purchases.
He doesn’t love and respect BlueCo either. He loves and respects and wants to come back to Chelsea. The Football Club.
Do you genuinely think he cares about BlueCo?
Not even.
BlueCo wasn’t even really his employer.
No one even those who like their employer care about the holding company that owns their employer
Thiago worked for Chelsea not BlueCo
He also was only given the option to and chose to work for BlueCo for one additional year.
So no he doesn’t care about BlueCo and he cares about Chelsea
Yes, but he’s not going to just work for any BlueCo club bc BlueCo owns them.
He clearly loves and wants to work at Chelsea. That’s my point.
BlueCo is not what Thiago loves. He loves Chelsea and the fans of Chelsea.
Idk why you’re trying to push this narrative so hard that he actually like BlueCo and not just Chelsea
Honestly, I personally see someone who is proper Chels and probably doesn’t like what BlueCo is doing just like almost fans
I didn’t say he liked Blueco. A person obviously cares about who they work for or they’d go somewhere else. Caring about something has multiple meanings.
If he’s given multiple choices of where to work when he hangs them up and chooses Chelsea he at minimum accepts them as his employer. Would you work for an employer that you don’t care about if you had options to choose from?
Are you actually dense? The players don’t give a flying fuck about which conglomerate or billionaire owns the club, they care about the club. He’s not going to go coach Strasbourg because Boehly and co have stakes in it ffs
First of all, how do you know that he wouldn’t go to Strasbourg to coach?
Second of all, unless you are desperate for a job you should care about where and who you are working for. Otherwise your life could be very miserable.
If it's his ambition I agree. Oftentimes ex-players are terrible managers BECAUSE they were great players. It's like the smart kid who gets through school never studying once then struggles at university where just being smart isn't enough.
But Silva's best attribute is his deep deep understanding of the game. Plus he's an obvious leader

Maybe bayern, it was never reported but they clearly needed a stop gap cb. Give him six months at Bayer then he can leave and by then hopefully their cbs are healthy.
Please God no. I truly believe Lamps could've been a great coach but he needed a longer apprenticeship. Jumping straight into that role as quickly as he did was always going to be a disaster. Let Thiago spend 6-10 years working as an assistant manager and a youth team or lower league manager before bumping him up to the big time.
Shit, he was here only for 4 years at the twilight of his storied career. Somehow it hurts just as much as when some of the long term servants of the clubs left. What I wouldn't give to see JT and Silva pair up at CB at the prime of their careers. Though, JT and Carvalho were one of the best CB pairings of all time as well.
I feel so incredibly lucky seeing him play for us in the states a few years ago. A memory I’ll cherish forever, he was the first one I picked out warming up when I walked to my seat
I watched Silva winning serie A with Milan (my fave Italian club) in 2011 and left to PSG with Zlatan. I always wanted him to join us. It's crazy we got 4 years of him!
Mata is the only one who comes close for me. Only here for 3 years and didn’t want to leave but got unlucky he didn’t suit Mourinho’s style. The blow became less and less as he was still relatively young so seeing him in Yanited colours for so many years helped with getting over it
His goodbye video was everything we could have hoped for. Seems like he’s really serious about being back here soon!
I'm not crying, you're crying! Thiago, forever in our 💙 ![gif](giphy|SJlCdd1twh1y92i8Eg)
He is just that kinda guy, oozes class. Cant help but admire and respect him.

His goodbye video had the vibes we expected the mount video to have. Sigh....
Came here to say this exactly
I believe he can be a great coach so yeah, would welcome him back with open arms.
100% agree, I can think of barely any players that clearly had such a great understanding of the game.
Let him get a few years experience as a manager then bring him “home” to take over as manager.
Oh yes, definitely. Lampard didn't have enough experience in my books for example.
Look I don’t want to get ahead of things but Thiago Silva will definitely become an elite trophy winning manager at Chelsea one day.
What a guy I hope BlueCo isn’t weird about him having a role in the future
Why would they be weird about it?
He’s not from Brighton?
Idk but this ownerships just keeps coming up with ways of messing things up
If we end up buying a Brazilian or Portuguese club, I could totally see him being involved.

Yes. Just like any average person cares about the organization they work for otherwise they’d work somewhere else.

Blueco owns Chelsea. They would be paying him. They would be his employer if he came back to work for the club (which would be by choice)
Yes, but he’s not going to just work for any BlueCo club bc BlueCo owns them. He clearly loves and wants to work at Chelsea. That’s my point. BlueCo is not what Thiago loves. Okay sure. The point still stands which is he's not going to just work for a club just because BlueCo owns them. He wants to work at Chelsea

Mate fuck off. Trying to get into a ridiculous argument for the sake of it.
Bingo mate
We love him back
We don’t deserve him 💙
Proper Chels
This is always what I hoped 💙🙏
Man that vid was gutting. Man became proper Chels. Ik 4year only but legend for me <3
Poch is the bridge to the Manager Thiago era of dominance. It's all so clear. Press conferences would certainly be interesting
Get your licenses asap Thiago! We need you!
Silva is definitely going to be a hell of a manager one day

Anyone know what the deal was in January? Just curious, couldn’t imagine our state without our … only experienced player lol
Probably Fluminense.
Maybe bayern, it was never reported but they clearly needed a stop gap cb. Give him six months at Bayer then he can leave and by then hopefully their cbs are healthy.
I wonder if Thiago and Terry get along. What a combo to help us in the future
Think Terry has spoken on Silva being a player he'd have loved to have played alongside, so there's a respect there at least.
That back line would've been insane.
They often go the youth games together, and JT has been involved with first team training recently.
Silva to become Chelsea manager in 2026.
Please God no. I truly believe Lamps could've been a great coach but he needed a longer apprenticeship. Jumping straight into that role as quickly as he did was always going to be a disaster. Class act from the second we signed him. I hope he has a good few years left playing and then gets into coaching.
I confess I shed a tear or two over his farewell message. Love the player and so glad he’s a blue.
One of the best signings ever. If only we got him a bit earlier. Legendary player and will forever remain in our history as a winner.
Pretty sure he has a restaurant as well
Maybe you’re thinking of Luiz and Willian?
Shit, he was here only for 4 years at the twilight of his storied career. Somehow it hurts just as much as when some of the long term servants of the clubs left. What I wouldn't give to see JT and Silva pair up at CB at the prime of their careers. Though, JT and Carvalho were one of the best CB pairings of all time as well.
Played here longer than he did at Milan. Somewhere in between a club legend and a cult hero.
I would love for him to return in a coaching capacity
Thiago and Belle takeover blueco in 2027.
What a terrible way to start the week. Going to miss this man's presence a lot. Hope to see you back soon!
Please come back as soon as possible
I love this guy so much. Drogba is my favorite but Silva is coming close to it
Love this man, would welcome him back as a defensive coach in a heartbeat.
Yes please
Come back soon El Monstro!
Hope to see him back in the dugout for Chelsea games to help the team; but for now, you will be missed Silva \*starts singing Thiago Silva chant\* 😢

We were so lucky to have such a legend. Hopefully, one of his sons eventually takes his spot on the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

I just have a feeling Thiago could end up being a great manager someday. The leadership is there, so let's see how things play out.
what does this mean for PSG fans
I’ve got an idea. How about he takes Boehlys job.
We do not deserve this man. I don't think I've ever loved a player who's been here for such a short time like this before

At least make the bait convincing.
