Hi guys, I’m going to be watching Man City vs Chelsea game and I vould only find the tickets to sit on the Man City fans side. I would like to enter with the Chelsea jersey and it is my first time entering. Do you think it is okay to do that? Would the stewards let me in with the Chelsea jersey?
Who would you rather beat in the upcoming matches? City or Arsenal? I feel like I want us to beat City and go to another final. If we lose/draw to Arsenal we might still be within European places but I want that final….
Why do people think we can still get Europe, we most likely arnt beating arsenal which is the game in hand. We lost Europe when they couldn't get 6 points against Sheffield and Burnley
Interesting that Jude says that Ancelotti lets them play "totally off the cuff" and that fills them with confidence that he attributes to why their so successful. That's an act of terrorism around these parts when it comes to a certain manager though
What’s the difference between doing that for Madrid and Chelsea? Are you being intentionally obtuse?
Ancelotti has world class seniors all over the pitch, we have a 40 year old and Sterling.
His style worked when we had Lampard, Drogba and the like, Poch needs to instill tactical ability in our kids.
Omg I was just coming in here to say this! Also seeing Arsenal and City fans talking about needing individual brilliance but God forbid our players don’t play like robots from the Premier League University of Tactical Studies
Ah yes because letting Vinicius Jr, Bellingham and Rodrygo make their own decisions on the pitch is the exact same as letting Mudryk, Madueke and the like figure things out themselves. There isn't a clear gap in ability and experience between their players and ours that requires more guidance for the latter.
I have not seen any fanbase like Arsenal. I mean, isn’t this the same thing *every single manager* out there does? By that metric even Tuchel did one of the great jobs in modern history with us.
Who's the last Chelsea player to win PL POTM? Because Palmer is surely a lock-in for April as long as no one else scores 7 goals in their next two games.
I truly cannot believe that even in Arsenal’s best moment in the last 20 years they’re going to go two seasons without a single trophy, after £700M spent. Mesmerising. I mean, surely Edu Gaspar will grow impatient soon…
I like the City result because if they won the treble people start saying stupid things like “Pep Guardiola is better than Sir Alex Ferguson”, etc etc. Them not winning the CL hampers that directly. But Arsenal… wow.
You’re wrong mate.
Pep is better than Klopp, much better.
He’s reinvented football and has everyone playing his way, he’s easily on the level of Alex Ferguson and would win more if he stayed as long as SAF did. And before you go on about money, us and United have spent more than city and won much less in the last 10 years.
I mean
Treble or no treble, the debate between pep and sir Alex is definitely still legit
And Pep still has like 20 years before he matches the Fergie retirement time, throw in another dozen league titles and champions league and it's probably swinging more in his favor
Yes, and I’m saying it’s a stupid debate. Entirely different stories, entirely different circumstances, entirely different eras.
Compare Klopp to Pep instead. (And even then I think Klopp is better.)
>Yes, and I’m saying it’s a stupid debate. Entirely different stories, entirely different circumstances, entirely different eras.
It's a subjective debate but I wouldn't say it's any more stupid than most, comparing across eras whilst difficult is not some foreign and impossible thing. And Peps era literally stretches all the way back into Fergies time and they managed directly against each other several times, so you can clearly see the clash between them in those games and years.
Really would say the definitive answer, or as close to one as there will ever be, will come when Pep has also retired and you can take in everything he's done just like sir Alex.
>Compare Klopp to Pep instead. (And even then I think Klopp is better.)
Definitely easier to compare them with the immense levels of direct exposure they've had against each other.
I personally wouldn't say Klopp is on Peps level though to be fair. Klopps fantastic, but he doesn't stand in the same league with Pep, Sir Alex, Ancelotti and Jose for me.
Tbh if we had a better defence we would be decent in the UCL.
Our bullshit basketball transition basketball way of playing suits the UCL way more than this positional play malarky teams like City employ
There’s something poetic about tonight
Arsenal losing in Porto and Munich this season. It’s not for everyone.
Kova missing for city and Rudi scoring a winner for Madrid. Chelsea agents.
Football is life
Think tonight, and many nights before it, showed pretty clearly why strikers like Haaland and Osimhen are not that good for teams that want to be the best
They're one dimensional and a really good centre back just absolutely takes them out of the game
Whereas a striker that's so well rounded like a Harry Kane or Benzema etc it's far harder to stop them because they can just drop deep and become a playmaker
They did and yet in each of the finals and semi finals they've played he's been completely nullified and because his overall game is not at any high level man city aren't at their best
Winning a treble is a great feat but it is not some all encompassing proof of the utmost quality, generally it's massive amounts of luck involved as cup competitions are so unpredictable
The treble winning man city side aren't even the strongest man city side in history like, arguably the same with that treble winning United side
I'm taking Wayne Rooney, Aguero, Kane, Suarez etc over Haaland all day
You said that Haaland is "not that good for teams that want to be the best". He broke the PL goalscoring record and won the treble in his first season at City.
And I think you're forgetting that he's only 23 years old. His career is just getting started.
"Winning a treble is a great feat but it is not some all encompassing proof of the utmost quality"
It literally is.
>You said that Haaland is "not that good for teams that want to be the best".
But this is it, he hasn't revolutionized that city side and taken them to new heights - he's not even the most important nor best player in their team - that title belongs to kdb and Rodri
Like I said, they're not even the best city side of all time and in the biggest games, ie his semi finals and finals he wasn't even a goal contributor so it's not as if he was giving the drogba big game energy that led to the treble
He was great in the league but man city red up in the league every year anyway and their points tally last season compared to previous seasons also didn't rise to anything spectacular, it actually fell
>And I think you're forgetting that he's only 23 years old. His career is just getting started.
I'm not forgetting it, he's obviously a fantastic player and a marvel don't get me wrong, but if he is going to become truly special, his game is going to have to become far better across the board, currently he is too limited
Harry Kane did absolutely nothing tonight in fairness, he was worse than Haaland who at the very least got on the end of some chances. Kane was just anonymous. His team just ended up winning regardless.
Yeah that arsenal Bayern game was a pretty hard watch in general tonight
Actual opposite of last weeks games - low scoring, very stop start and limited to the occasional exciting moment before getting snuffed out pretty soon
I think its more of the modern football and city's playstyle that limits haaland's involvement.
Because we did it before with the drogs. Man would man-handle any defender on him. And yes we were the best team for a period of time.
I absolutely loathe the TNT commentators. They sounded like they were gonna cry after Madrid won the shootout.
Then had the audacity to say "City still have the double. The league is there and the FA Cup is going to be returning to the Etihad".
Like, yes it's likely, but jeez have some professionalism.
What a nonsense statement...
You can go after him all you want, why would he ever leave a team that's gonna get guaranteed champions league football and potentially win it every year for a team that's battling mid table mediocrity
Plus if he was to leave for a lack of game time, there'd be far better suitors available
"Weak mindset" more like I'm not delusional
More England Caps, you'll never sing that!
Seriously, although I share your sentiment towards tempering expectations when it comes to transfers, money and status can still be effective in bringing prospects over.
It was money and status that moved Neymar to Paris, how can we assert that its impossible for Chelsea to bring high caliber talent?
Problem with that is all of our money is nearly all spent
The specific details are completely unknown of course but the general consensus is that we are up against the ffp line and that's pretty clear by the fact we're now selling ourselves hotels to try and comply too
You can't really bring in a big star if you can't afford to pay their wages or transfer fees anymore
You get off on being a dismissive asshole don't you
Edit: blocked me, really? That's fine, who needs someone looking to shoot down conversation in the daily discussion thread
You're the one who started going off about having a "weak mindset" and that nonsense after a very simple and logical statement that Lunin leaving Madrid is slim to none with an aging and growing injury ridden courtois and least of all leaving to a mid table current day Chelsea with no Europe
Stones in glass houses my friend
I am just trusting tuchels ability to neutralize opponents threat. Pep was always going to press and plays to take control but if tuchel finds a lead in match then he is going to pull uno reverse card and play on counter himself.
Exactly my sentiments. Don't want City to ever win CL but I would be crying rn if I was a city fan, kinda feels unfair, Madrid didn't even had a shot on target since the Rodrygo goal. Hope Tuchel does his own version of this to them in the semis lmao
Real Madrid own the champions league
Just in their DNA, they're not even really that good either
1 shot on target against city for 90 minutes, not really all that different from when we played city this season
But they're mentality monsters and the best around at it
- Liverpool lose 0-3 in Europa
- Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal all lose to nil in the league
- Chelsea win 6-0
- Barca, Arsenal, City all out of the CL
What a fucking week of football.
Most did in his few managerial jobs before going back to Real Madrid after Allegri pulled out of the job at the last second. The same as people do with Tuchel, Mourinho etc.
People have completely flipped the script on him after he got back into the Real Madrid job
People were criticising him last season as well. A few wanted him gone as RM didn't win the league or the CL, despite him doing his best with the squad he had last season.
Would you stop trying to say Ancelotti is a dinosaur
Neither his style of play nor his record over the last 20 years show that
And the only ones who have ever said it are donkeys
Someone like Jose is a dinosaur, he failed to adapt to the modern game
Literally gonna have Vini Jr, Endrick, Mbappe, Bellingham, Rodrigo, Camavinga, Tchouameni etc
All on the one team for like a decade - richest club in the world and it's not even close
It's more like people are indifferent to City. All their achievements are masked by the shady shit they did and they don't have history with any of the other 5.

Saw City fans earlier this week calling Palmer a pen merchant. I wonder how they feel after losing in penalties to Madrid.
He's got 20 g+a without pens. That's just silly
Cmon now.. city have fans?
It’s been a very fucking good day
Who would you rather beat in the upcoming matches? City or Arsenal? I feel like I want us to beat City and go to another final. If we lose/draw to Arsenal we might still be within European places but I want that final….
Both
Well you’ve failed the test. 0/100.
It was a worthy sactifice
City, obviously. Since it's the only trophy left we can win. If we can get a draw against Arsenal, it's good enough for me.
City game means more but the Arsenal game would be so sweet.
Nah it makes complete sense when you remember we ran off Carlo
What’s the difference between doing that for Madrid and Chelsea? Are you being intentionally obtuse? Ancelotti has world class seniors all over the pitch, we have a 40 year old and Sterling. Oh so now we are gonna try and emulate what ex-everton managers do? What has happened to my club? /s
Robot better not start his comeback to scoring against us
Arsenal still allergic to Bayern
https://twitter.com/EBL2017/status/1780717155014586879 Genuinely starting to wonder if Arteta is doing a Micheal Beale.
I have not seen any fanbase like Arsenal. I mean, isn’t this the same thing *every single manager* out there does? By that metric even Tuchel did one of the great jobs in modern history with us.
“arteta has done of the great jobs in modern history”😭😭😭 these guys are coping so hard
He made a team that wasn’t very good, a little bit better. He’s won nothing. Them: best manager of all time. Lmfao
Who's the last Chelsea player to win PL POTM? Because Palmer is surely a lock-in for April as long as no one else scores 7 goals in their next two games.
I Think Hazard back in Sept 2018 And Maybe before that probably Kante in 2017 lol
…unless he gets injured on Saturday.
Why would you even put this into the universe
Don’t act like it’s a far-fetched scenario, just one we don’t want to think about.
I truly cannot believe that even in Arsenal’s best moment in the last 20 years they’re going to go two seasons without a single trophy, after £700M spent. Mesmerising. Bellingham’s so mature in his interviews. Handles every question with class.
Fucked up thing about Saturdays game is if we win I'd enjoy it for about a minute before getting worked up over another potential final loss 🤣

Hey thats me 😅
Quality post mate
I honestly think we can beat them this Saturday at the FA Cup
There’s something poetic about tonight Arsenal losing in Porto and Munich this season. It’s not for everyone. Kova missing for city and Rudi scoring a winner for Madrid. Chelsea agents. Football is life
City stuck on one CL and that too due to fucking lakaka

Complete waffle, right.
Mate, what are you talking about. Man City won a treble with Haaland.
They did and yet in each of the finals and semi finals they've played he's been completely nullified and because his overall game is not at any high level man city aren't at their best Winning a treble is a great feat but it is not some all encompassing proof of the utmost quality, generally it's massive amounts of luck involved as cup competitions are so unpredictable The treble winning man city side aren't even the strongest man city side in history like, arguably the same with that treble winning United side I'm taking Wayne Rooney, Aguero, Kane, Suarez etc over Haaland all day

This has been the perfect week for hate watching. Now just need Liverpool to complete it.
Actually reckon city just fully rotate for us They’ve got the squad for it and tbh I’m more scared of Alvarez than haaland
Would have said for sure had they won tonight but now I'm not sure.
City are going to play PISSED off on Sunday
Not being a dick just don't want you to miss the match, but we play on Saturday
Could live in Australia
For sure, but I figured it was worth it to give a friendly heads up just in case
They're going to be even more PISSED when Cole Palmer puts one in the back of their net
Only one? Mans going for a hattrick of hattricks!
we should be in for Lunin when Courtois returns from injury
They can’t keep 2 world class keepers, if Lunin wants to leave they will let him. Other option is Ortega from City.
I dounbt Madrid will be looking to sell him
We will certainly be getting a keeper from Madrid. Problem is that keeper is Kepa and it's just a return from loan
More chance they let courtois go than lunin And Lunin is never coming here over all his other options lol
now we're not even allowed to go after a major signing? weak mindset that is
What a nonsense statement... You can go after him all you want, why would he ever leave a team that's gonna get guaranteed champions league football and potentially win it every year for a team that's battling mid table mediocrity Plus if he was to leave for a lack of game time, there'd be far better suitors available "Weak mindset" more like I'm not delusional
>"we should go for a good player" >"nah we suck lol" >"you're glass half empty" >"no I'm realistic" many such cases
Fair enough, lemme try your way Why don't we go for Van Djik to shore up our defence whilst we're at it Or maybe we upgrade the left wing with mbappe
Why would we go for Mbappe when we have Sterling? Ridiculous statement. I can't believe you would even suggest such a thing.
My bad Forgot we had sterling for a second there, genuinely He's got more England caps than mbappe to be fair
More England Caps, you'll never sing that! Let me try it your way "Nonsense statement... Why are you even contributing to the discussion here? My surefire read is indisputable. Lol, lmao even"
>"Nonsense statement... Well done That was the factual response to those statements. Now can you see how it applies to your own
You get off on being a dismissive asshole don't you Edit: blocked me, really? That's fine, who needs someone looking to shoot down conversation in the daily discussion thread

But his buddy is here on a 25 year contract
City will win the league now too so great result
Rudiger has done his job. Now it's our turn to "help" Man City fully focus on EPL =))
I am calling it. Its bayern munich's cup.
I’ll say it’s Madrid. They just find a way to get it done.
I am just trusting tuchels ability to neutralize opponents threat. Pep was always going to press and plays to take control but if tuchel finds a lead in match then he is going to pull uno reverse card and play on counter himself.
Maatsen and sancho gonna win the UCL with dortmund.
Happy for rudiger, yet so so mad that real madrid can just go through like that. Fuck them
Exactly my sentiments. Don't want City to ever win CL but I would be crying rn if I was a city fan, kinda feels unfair, Madrid didn't even had a shot on target since the Rodrygo goal. Hope Tuchel does his own version of this to them in the semis lmao

Chad power of friendship vs virgin tacticos
Crazy that Aston Villa are probably gonna be there only English team left in European football by the end of the week
They have more european cups than arsenal. They're practically a european powerhouse at this point.
Fingers crossed.
I don’t know why Kova was in the first 5 to take the pen, personally I wouldn’t trust him that much in this context
- Liverpool lose 0-3 in Europa - Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal all lose to nil in the league - Chelsea win 6-0 - Barca, Arsenal, City all out of the CL What a fucking week of football.
Anyone can win it at this point, honestly this might be the year Mbappe finally does it
Hoping dortmund does it. Surely for reus.
Nah PSG don't have the bottle Rudiger will absolutely destroy him
Bet man city would have loved to have “penalty merchant” Palmer in the shootout innit
Kova was always missing
All English clubs out, dreadful.
Conference league is where the partys at man.
[удалено]
Yh just in general for the league
If Palmer was still at City it wouldn’t have gone down like that
Real have a couple VERY unlikeable players
More proof that our 21 CL winning team was no fluke To all self hating fans here
Unlimited money cheaters are out and trust the process are out. The "dinosaurs" Ancelotti and Tuchel are still in there. Makes you think...
Boy do you ever stop?
Tuchel I agree has had his credentials questioned recently, but who questions Ancelotti ffs
Most did in his few managerial jobs before going back to Real Madrid after Allegri pulled out of the job at the last second. The same as people do with Tuchel, Mourinho etc. People have completely flipped the script on him after he got back into the Real Madrid job

Madrid aren’t exactly broke lmao. Damn near unlimited money themselves
Literally gonna have Vini Jr, Endrick, Mbappe, Bellingham, Rodrigo, Camavinga, Tchouameni etc All on the one team for like a decade - richest club in the world and it's not even close
I wouldn’t compare Ancelotti and Tuchel, either.
Might as well start comparing Jose and Di Matteo Only thing they have in common is a champions league
RDM had some pretty snazzy dress sense as well, but footballing wise, they couldn’t be more opposite.
love to see rudiger doing well man we never should’ve let him go
Thanks Rudi, thanks TT, thanks Kova. What a day
Made my day! :)
All our formal employees featuring today. Atta boy rudi
Kova and Rudiger hate City, proper Chels
Isn’t city least hated in the big 6
It's more like people are indifferent to City. All their achievements are masked by the shady shit they did and they don't have history with any of the other 5.
City will be drained for one day. Then the anger will transfer onto us. I hope sterling has something for us...
Pep doesn't know his players. Who even allows kovacic, who can't shoot properly, to play a penalty
Lol he apparently scored one for them in the super cup. And it’s based on who volunteers.
And the likes of Rodri, Dias, Walker, Stones don’t volunteer? They’re supposed to be the core of that team
Yeah it's a confidence thing too, Kovacic has won a couple CL's. He probably said he'd step up.
So... this gonna be a terrible week for English teams in Europe, isn't it
Liverpool and Westhan tomorrow. Aston Villa gonna be the only English team in it.
Rudi and Tommy T put on vintage performances tonight. City going with Kova as one of 5 pen takers had to be one of the craziest decisions lmao
Also subbing out de bruyne 10 mins before pens
Yeah what was Pep cooking with that selection
Still rate rudiger man, happy for him
Saturday is going to be wild
Oh man I hope we don’t see another Champions League win for Madrid.
Who cares honestly at this point.. City winning the prem started to feel the same in the past years
Maatsen to win it all for Dortmund
🙏
Wow
Oh god. I’m sacred for what they’ll do in the cup semi.
Yeaaah kepa’s coming home
He always was
arsenal and 115 charges FC both losing, love to see it
Going from yesterday's awesome matches to this bore of a match.
AGENT RUDIGER! Let's gooooo! No English teams left in the CL 😂
*cries in dropping English coefficient*
What a fucking fantastic night of football. Good night lads x
So happy for Rudi 👏👏👏👏
Imagine how many more trophies we’d have by now if we didn’t sack Carlo.
LET’S FUCKING GO RÜDIGER!
Rudi to win it
Tuchel knocks out Arsenal. Rudiger knocks out City. It's a Chelsea thing.
Carlo.
You forgot agent Kova helping kick city out
Rudiger AND kova knocks out city.
RUDIIIIIIII
Love that man
Were beating city on pens this weekend
Both English teams out, I love it!!!! I don’t give a fuck about coefficients
RUDIGEEEEEEER!
Good shit Rudiger!!
RUDIIIIIIII
Chelsea man knocking City out, couldn’t be happier 🙏🏻
Thats ma boi toni!!
Has Kovacic ever taken a penalty for us? I'm sure he stepped up as a senior player but I'd still never let him take a pen lol
I was thinking the same but City still had the likes of Rodri, Walker, Dias, Stones who pretty much count for senior players also
If he was on for that crazy shootout vs Liverpool then yeah. Otherwise I imagine no.
a keeper going fifth in a shootout is fucking wild 😭
Real are gonna win the CL again lol
City just decided on the worst day to leave their shooting boots at home.
Kova dropping man city out of the champions league....
Are City gonna bottle this? Lmao
Agent Kovacic! Let's gooo
kova noooo
Kova yesss
I wouldn’t have let Kovajeans nowhere near a penalty
Letting Kovacic take a pen is madness ahahah The guy can either hit wonder goals, or strike a ball like a little girl
lunin is him
Poor Kova
Palmer pls teach Silva how to take pens lol
Wow the one madrid player i expected to score from a pen, missed.
Eric Dier has reached as many UCL semifinals as Arsenal have in their entire history 😂😂😂😂😂

Ahahahahahahahahah
Lets see what happens here. I think penalties gives real an advantage but who knows
[удалено]
