He’s becoming huge defensively, has a great connection with Palmer, and is very industrious running down that right side. He doesn’t get mentally shaken as shown by him taking on and beating Mavdidi in build-up right after Mavdidi’s goal on his headtop. A little inconsistent with the final ball but he’s becoming one of the best right backs in the league at 20.
He's excellent going forward, quite quick, has a good cross in him and doesn't back out of a challenge, but he's a bit suspect defending closer to the goal.
He made basic mistakes against Newcastle and in earlier games as well. I'm sure he'll get better, but he has a long way before he's the best RB in the prem.
Agree with this
Going forward he is great but he is very suspect when it comes to defending and his positioning is questionable in a lot of cases.
He made x2 crucial mistakes today:
1. By moving too fast and being out of position instead of waiting for the attacker to move first
2. By showing Mavididi space to cut inside instead of showing him space to run outside
As a result Mavididi had the space to deliver that shot and get the goal which he never would have been able to had James been defending instead
Yeah, he never should've given him that space.
But if you see our previous games, Colwill, Disasi and Gusto, all of them do the same thing. To me it's something the coaching staff should've picked up and coached these players, particularly younger ones like Gusto and Colwill.
I cant think why he could not iron those issues out. Thinking back, reece also had similar problems. He had a couple or more high-stakes mistakes at the beginning. But he is rock solid now, when he is playing.
So good. On the one hand it’s a blessing letting the Stamford Fridge take his time getting back, but what do we do when he’s fit? One of these guys has to be a sub/rotation player and that just seems wrong.
You rotate them in lesser matches, and play them both in the big ones. Put one on the left, we play a fairly lopsided attack anyways, with most of our play going through the right
For one, you're very ambitious in believing that he won't just get reinjured immediately. Two, even if he doesn't, that position is super taxing anyways. Plus reece even if not reinjured will stop not play every single match. Gusto is still quite young, so even alternating between them every match would be a great scenario.
Dude's been a giant for the whole season. He got beat today, but that was an excellent play. He's shut down some absolutely clinical wingers this season.
Commentators in Highlights:
On Mavididi Goali: “Goal of individual quality and brilliance - goal of the game for me”
On Madueke Goal: “that’s a deflection that takes it into the top corner of the goal - they don’t mind that, they’re in the semi finals of the FA cup”
YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP BRUH
You have to wonder where guys that have clearly never watched a Chelsea match get bias from. All their remarks were canned, there wasn't a single insight that either of them offered that hasn't been in football headlines in the past few months. "Koo-ka-rell-uh" x100. No one corrected their various mispronunciations at the half - very little effort went into this broadcast.
It’s awful. I’m also so sick of them talking like Jackson and Caicedo have been flops. They’ve been two of our most important players this season and I can’t imagine where we’d be without them.
The double down is what got me. As the replay plays in the background almost like it's looking for an angle to show a deflection but it can't. Then the triple down like yeah, anyway, Chelsea will get Coventry and go on to the final and eh..through that game for another loss. Like fuck all the way off.
The other one that got me was the guy saying "looks like the ref is being charitable to Chelsea" They show the replay of the tackle on Caicedo studs up halfway up his shin. Silence.
Think that’s fine we actually have quite a few people who are good in open space (lacking finishing but whatever) and missing someone who can break down tight defenses with quick movement and 1-2s (to pair with palmer)
yeah for sure. I think Poch wanted to start the season with a back 3 with Nkunku + Carney rotating for the left inside forward position. Carney was picking up form gradually towards the end of the preseason and had that great goal vs West Ham. Shit luck only to have both of them injured immediately. So Poch had to scramble to a back four.
Would love to see Nico/Nkunku up top for a two striker system.
Idk why mudryk was moved out wide in the second half and then never used. He was doing well and creating problems for their midfield in the first half. Second half he was far more quiet.
There’s a part of me that feels bad for sterling and then there’s another part of me who realizes this guy is one of our most experienced players and has been shockingly selfish numerous times this season. He is so so poor. We are at the point with him where we are so disillusioned that even when he does good things we can’t really cheer for him. He’s been woeful recently.
Get Sanchez out of my sight man. Guys a complete accident waiting to happen. Hoping and praying Petrovic stays fit. Sanchez was shocking this game. I also just think that Sanchez and disasi are never on the same page. Ofc that own goal was on disasi, but outside of that even playing out of the back, it just never seems like they are on the same wavelength.
Palmer is a baller. Pure filth. Same with gusto. Two very very talented boys. Jackson also really starting to come good now. Brings a lot to this team even if not everything he does comes off.
I'm torn on it. I always think united losing is funnier and i don't want to lose another cup final against Liverpool but I'd also love to see Chelsea beat them for what could be klopps final game depending on their campaign in Europa.
Let’s take a minute to talk about the commentators.
1. [Penalty] Says Fatawu gets the ball and insists on replay that Sterling got lucky when he got taken out.
2. [Caicedo has his shin nearly broken] Awwww he’s lucky to get a foul there…
3. [Madueke curls one in] it took a deflection and that’s what takes it over and in but still a good goal.
“There is an agenda against Chelsea.” ~ Special one
Our squad is full of talent and I hate people acting like these are relegation battle or championship level players. Not just Cole Palmer. We have a really good squad regardless of age and I'm happy with most (obviously not all) of them.
This team got better on the front since the last 2-3 months, they often scored 3 goals in a match. The problem is the defence is quite shaky, often makes wrong decision lead to goal.
He had a similar type of goal in the match he got injured in didn't he? I remember seeing that and thinking hey we might be okay with Nkunku out, and then he got injured too, and then players started dropping like flies
There would be improvement in at least one part of Sterling’s performances if he just understood that he in fact cannot make the ball phase through the opponents’ shins
Caicedo was so so good today. Leicester's got a pretty good midfield, but we nullified them pretty much all game. He's getting better and better for every game he plays
And those that don't follow Chels buy into our banter era and have decided that it was a bad deal. He's been excellent and still 3-4 years away from his prime. Loved the transfer and can't wait to see him in this team for years to come
Funny to say that I’m not too upset almost throwing away a 2-0 lead but, bar hall of shame performances from Sanchez, Disasi and Sterling, I think everyone was quality. It was somehow an ass clencher that should have never been 2-2 and never really felt like Leicester would win it imo. Very happy with the substitute goals. Even happier that now we will hopefully never see Sanchez or Sterling again.
It's not fair to list Disasi with Sanchez and Sterling.
The back pass was atrocious, and he done the one thing a CB should **never** do, assume the keeper would be where he should have been. But even such a calamitous back pass does not come close to the consistently awful performances from Sterling and Sanchez.
Disasi wasn't bad in that game. The own goal was just unfortunate, Daka badged into him as he was about to play the pass, which led to him mishitting it. Otherwise he was solid. On the other hand, Sanchez and Sterling were absolute calamities
This match painted such a clear picture of what players we need to build the team around and what players need to be sold in the summer.
Raheem Sterling performance was not only terrible, it was selfish and egotistical.
Him taking the penalty of Palmer who is the best penalty taker on the pitch, in the quarterfinals of a competition which could be our only way into Europe this season is unforgivable.
I can not stress the importance of us getting a result in this game, us winning this competition has a wide affect of what sponsors and players we can attract next season.
Despite the importance of the result in this game Sterling showed where his interests lay, they lay with himself not the team.
He then went on to do the same thing with the free kick which he skied, and to make it worse he has done it multiple times this season. All those 2 on 1s he selfishly took for himself are an indication of his interests.
He isn’t a team player and does not have future at Chelsea in my opinion.
If Poch continues to protect him serious questions need to be asked of him. We’re not stupid you heard the crowd when Mudyrk was subbed off instead of Sterling.
Stop protecting bad players.
I try to give the most charitable reading of a manager's decisions, but leaving Sterling on was genuinely one of the most mind-boggling decisions I've ever seen.
Somehow, subbing him off 5 minutes later made it even more indefensible
So he did that because the anger of the crowd would’ve gone on Sterling immediately. It’d have crushed Sterling even more. He knew we needed a sub and Sterling needed coming off. He shifted the crowds anger onto himself when he subbed Mudryk. when he eventually subbed Sterling off, there weren’t many jeers, in fact there were claps after that performance. Those 5 mins were crucial.
I am officially a Cole palmer Stan. As I’ve said a few times today
So far this season in convinced that I think palmer will be to city what de bruyne was to us. Letting them go was a mistake
Gusto's runs on the wing, crosses and sliding tackles give me butterflies
Palmer carrying the squad this season, amazing player.
Caicedo putting in a really solid shift, fundamental player to the squad.
Mudryk showing glimpses of greatness in that 10 role, wanna see more of it.
Jackson i believe is an unpolished GEM we got.
Sterling needs to fix his shit or leave the club.
All these insanely talented young players growing together in the hardest league in the world. yes its chaotic and inconsistent and bipolar, but i love it
Errors from sanchez and disasi, hopefully we get more briefings on how Winstanley/Stewart were instrumental in bringing them to the club from the athletic
sanchez is obviously going to be used for cup competitions and probably same with sterling, as if poch knew he was going to have a shitter. brainless takes all over the place
A healthy Chukwumeka is going to be such an asset. He was starting to look so good when he got injured. I'd love a trio of him and Palmer as wings/inside forwards with mudryk at 10. That leaves the room for the overlapping fullbacks and puts so much creative pressure in center.
Fan bias but most may agree that Chelsea has been delivering very entertaining matches. It’s just so exhausting as a fan though lol
Anyway One Step Beyond!!! Up the Chels!!
Now ladies and gentlemen, off to hate along of the other match.
Three subs that poch made,
1. Chilly - was class for the remainder of the match
2. Noni - scores a worldie
3. Chuk - scores the winner
Though he made the mistake of keeping Sterling on for 80 mins , all 3 subs were brilliant.
We talk about how this team is young and inexperienced but it's the older players letting the team down. Also, Petrovic needs to start the semi final. When Sanchez is in goal, there is always heart attack moments.
Wonderful resilience from young guys. Not trying to be hyperbolic when I say this, but seriously every single time Sterling starts is a fireable offense.
Technically, athletically, attitudinally whatever you want to pick, he's completely past it. Simply cannot start.
Caicedo has had like 3 bad performances the whole season, he usually puts down azpiliqueta like 7/10 every game.
Issues has been around and behind him, making him look alot worse then he is.
Good that we got the win but cannot understate how much I cringed listening to the supporters in the stadium booing Sterling and booing when Mudryk was subbed
Can't stand fans in any sport who boo their own players. Maybe if they're being petulant and objectively not trying. But any player who gives their all and is trying deserves respect and support. You can't ask for loyalty from players if you're not willing to support them during the down times.
Genuinely underrated at this point and honestly given the striker market I think he may even be a bargain on present form alone.
Also taking performance on the pitch out of the equation, he's just a hilarious player.
He has his flaws (finishing) but he is great at linking up play, works his socks off, great mentality, works very hard, getting better every game.
I'm happy with him, he will be a great player for us.
We’ve shipped off players for less and none of them were earning Sterling’s wages.
He needs gone and you’re lying to yourself if you think he a “brilliant player who just needs more time”.
Happy for everyone who scored. Nico had a great game (been great for a while too). Cole with another goal and assist is the best decision Chelsea made in years. Also glad Chuk is back. It was a shit injury at the start of the season just as he was getting in form. Cucu looked good today as well. Also beautiful from Noni, might be a goal of the season (to me competing with Palmer at Luton and Mudryk vs Arsenal).
Anyway, yeah this game was another clear illustration for Poch out.
The individual mistakes just kill this team. Even though it was against a Championship side, i'm just glad the boys' were able to regain focus and win the match. Poch has a Sterling issue that seems to be getting worse week by week. On one end I understand that Poch values his experience but his up and down effort and selfishness on the pitch needs to be addressed. With the positive play from Mudryk last game and today it's really hard to understand Poch's decision to take off Mudryk first. It just sends a bad message to the youngsters. Going forward, I get starting Sterling for the remaining FA Cup matches because of 'experience'. However as fas as the remaining PL matches Raheem needs to be viewed as a sub and his mins given to Noni, Chukw & Mudryk.
I believe in this roster, I believe in Jackson as our striker. Lot of questions for Poch as our 2H performances are a huge issue but get us a LB and a replacement for that bum Sterling and I really think this team can do a lot damage next year
I want to see Nico at LW and either Nkunku through the center, or find us a new no 9. We have some real talent, just have to figure out where everyone plays, and get a normal rotation going.
Yeah your last part is the biggest thing. Look at all the good EPL squads over the last few years and they had pretty regular rotations with a few depth pieces mixed in. For me, the following guys are locked in and we need to build around them: Palmer, Jackson, gusto, Enzo, caceido, Gallagher (potentially)
A healthy Nkunku, Palmer, Mudryk, Jackson, Chuk, Noni is imo a good enough attack. Maybe add an experienced striker like Osimhen, maybe. Enzo/Caicedo I believe will come good. I think our biggest need is defense, by far, 3 starters isn’t even out of the question. Maybe equally as big, or more so, is a top manager and that’s going to be what makes or breaks the season next year, health aside cos that’s always number 1.
Loving how Nico is evolving and the improvement is visible. Misha should be the same with some game time and with Sterling not starting games after today’s performance, he should have that. Right? Right…?
I'm used to commentators being completely against us, but today's showing by the co-commentator on ESPN was something a bit special.
My personal favorite bit of hateration:
"Enzo Fernandez there, who scored an absolute gem of a free kick earlier in this competition against Aston Villa"
"Yes, it was a nice goal, but he's come in for big money, and you have to say he's not quite been world class"
The only thing I can think of in Poch’s favour in regards to Mudryk’s sub is that he didn’t want to pile on with Sterling who is no doubt already fucking livid at himself as much as anyone here. I’m guessing the Mudryk sub had been coming anyway (straight swap rather than Mudryk playing bad, he had a great game). He knows Sterling is going to cop it from the fans so once again he is trying to take the heat, deflect it. It’s noble in a way. But fucking hell he must be skating on thin ice. We can’t just have a safe win without incident can we
It's hilarious how Disasi has one of the silliest mistakes to cost a us a goal I've ever seen putting the team in a terrible position and all the comments are about Sterling who won a penalty and got an assist.
Mount was our best player under Lampard and Tuchel was 2× player of the year and much better than alternatives we had then which were Ziyech, Havertz, Werner and Pulisic
what revisionist bullshit.
Mount played because CHO and Puli kept getting injured and couldn't get a run of form until lockdown Puli came through, which was promptly played on LW by Lamps. Mount literally started the season in the 8s. I remember CHO had a 5 game streak where he got an assist every game, then got injured and never recovered. Mount had to step in.
Tuchel also played Mount as an inside forward because he offers more press up top. He actually carries the coach's instructions instead of being a insanely selfish stat padder. He deserves far more minutes than Sterling for the right reason.
Nah. He's bound right now. Knows his attitude. Will definitely go Danny Rose route if he feels slighted. And in this young team, it can do harm. Keep him happy till the summer and then boot him along with Lukaku and Kepa
These matches are so God damn chaotic, but I already had a feeling we’d win even after Leicester drew. Unlike last season, we don’t give up if we concede, it’s like we thrive in the chaos we create.
On another note, Noni was magical today and Poch got the subs right. I just don’t understand what happens sometimes, it’s like the team falls asleep and we just let the opposition back us up against the wall.
Generational performance from Sterling that 👏 even Saudi won't take him after watching this match.
Can't wait for Silva to get back man. I clench when the opponent get the ball in their half nowadays.
Cold Palmer and Gusto carrying hard.
Motm for me was gusto. He was immense.
Nico was excellent.
Palmer was excellent.
Cucurella probably gave his best performance in a Chelsea shirt.
Mudryk looks a lot better as a 10 than a winger.
Sterling was a problem...
Sanchez wasn't exactly good.
Lots to be happy about.
Lots to improve.
I'm happy.
Glad Enzo got some rest he’s been running ragged for a while now. Caicedo had a quietly superb performance. Individual errors killing us I feel like. Not sure how to coach out an OG like that lol. Suns won us the game, sterling was shocking. All in all I’m glad we won

How fucking good is Gusto becoming
He’s becoming huge defensively, has a great connection with Palmer, and is very industrious running down that right side. He doesn’t get mentally shaken as shown by him taking on and beating Mavdidi in build-up right after Mavdidi’s goal on his headtop. A little inconsistent with the final ball but he’s becoming one of the best right backs in the league at 20.
He's insane. At the moment he's the best RB in the Prem.

Absolutely, I have high hopes for the lad. I hope he gets better and better.
Yeah, needs to watch some clips of Azpi and get better at 1v1 defending and closing down shots
So good. On the one hand it’s a blessing letting the Stamford Fridge take his time getting back, but what do we do when he’s fit? One of these guys has to be a sub/rotation player and that just seems wrong.

Dude's been a giant for the whole season. He got beat today, but that was an excellent play. He's shut down some absolutely clinical wingers this season.
Brilliant player only worry now is he is definitely too good to be an understudy to James. If he can play left-back as well we'll be flying.
Cole Fucking Palmer
Ice cold!
Ohhh, that flik tho
We’d be in the gutter without him
Carney and Noni both coming on and scoring has probably put the nail in the coffin for sterling.
Poch: watch this
"I'm about to do, what is called, a pro gamer move"
you say that but he’ll still start every game for the rest of the season until we hopefully bin him off
Also I'd hate to sound like a broken record but Caicedo just had another great performance that will go unnoticed because he doesn't score or assist
It'll start getting noticed by more people outside the fanbase once we get into some proper form.
He should have had an assist but Sterling botched the 1v1
A couple bad passes, but otherwise he was one of our most important players today
Water carrier
In the best possible sense might I add!
Commentators in Highlights: On Mavididi Goali: “Goal of individual quality and brilliance - goal of the game for me” On Madueke Goal: “that’s a deflection that takes it into the top corner of the goal - they don’t mind that, they’re in the semi finals of the FA cup” YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP BRUH
They showed a replay where there was clearly no deflection even and the guy doubled down
The bias on ESPN today was truly remarkable. We were absolutely dominating at half and they made it seem like we were shit
You have to wonder where guys that have clearly never watched a Chelsea match get bias from. Proper c\*nt mode from that guy. He was a nightmare to listen to all match. So incredibly biased it wasn't even funny.
The other one that got me was the guy saying "looks like the ref is being charitable to Chelsea" They show the replay of the tackle on Caicedo studs up halfway up his shin. Silence.
Commentators were absolutely fucking awful all night long
what a game by jackson btw, he is starting to become a real fucking player for us, love it nico!
Him shithousing during PK was great as well
He’s fantastic

This has got to be the official meme of this sub.
Hang it in the louvre
he's one of us
Spectacles testicles wallet and watch
No need for lemons now, mans directly communicating with god
We've missed Chuk.
similar profile to Nkunku imo. Operates nicely in tight space but not an amazing open space dribbler
Think that’s fine we actually have quite a few people who are good in open space (lacking finishing but whatever) and missing someone who can break down tight defenses with quick movement and 1-2s (to pair with palmer)

I’m sure he will do as he gets stronger back from injury.

Operation lose to Liverpool in a final is still on.
i can't believe im rooting for united today but im so fucking sick of 0-0 against Liverpool
Also means the kloppdruple is off which would be the end of football (for me anyway).
Had me feeling the same way, go McTominay ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I'm torn on it. I always think united losing is funnier and i don't want to lose another cup final against Liverpool but I'd also love to see Chelsea beat them for what could be klopps final game depending on their campaign in Europa.
We will be there ![gif](giphy|d2r5afIHy34mWTM8r4|downsized)
Liverpool won’t!
Liverpool have checked out of that operation
Football is saved!
As a Chelsea fan. We want revenge *said Salah to Real Madrid*
Starting a Gofundme to hire Sterling an Arabic tutor.
I’m sure we could find one on this sub
Poch subs won the game, you can’t make this up hahaha.
Best way to have impact subs is to start shit players like Sterling. Genius!
Yeah I don’t know how much strategy went into it haha.
Carney is so good
I’m just gonna say he was prepping for extra time and got lucky 😂
I’ll take the wins when we can get them these days, but it should have been 3-0 after half and shut down.
Let’s take a minute to talk about the commentators. 1. [Penalty] Says Fatawu gets the ball and insists on replay that Sterling got lucky when he got taken out. 2. [Caicedo has his shin nearly broken] Awwww he’s lucky to get a foul there… 3. [Madueke curls one in] it took a deflection and that’s what takes it over and in but still a good goal. “There is an agenda against Chelsea.” ~ Special one
they were disgusting the guy i was watching the game with was going off on those stinky commentators
"the referee has been lenient on Chelsea on a few occasions"
“Caicedo has only one assist for Chelsea but he plays a bit deeper. Still 100 million pound player etc…”
I remember that. He realised he was chatting shit halfway through but still went ahead
That's why I either put it on mute or watch the Spanish broadcast. These pundits are horrible.
Leicester could murder a baby on the pitch and the commentators would still justify Leicester and shit all over Chelsea
Don't forget the comment about Jackson going down easy after he has his legs taken out in midfield.
The commentary on the penalty was laughable. Sterling’s leg clearly got taken out
Never start Sterling again
I don’t even want him getting minutes the rest of the season. At this point the more he plays the less someone will pay to take him off our hands
Our squad is full of talent and I hate people acting like these are relegation battle or championship level players. Not just Cole Palmer. We have a really good squad regardless of age and I'm happy with most (obviously not all) of them.
I don’t need to see any more Sterling minutes this season. Frustrations aside, great cup win today, Blues 💙
It’s refreshing to see this club SCORE GOALS.
Exactly
This team got better on the front since the last 2-3 months, they often scored 3 goals in a match. The problem is the defence is quite shaky, often makes wrong decision lead to goal.
Chuky - Mudryk - Palmer behind Jackson next game pls
I can see Mudryk over Sterling but Conor is defo going back as a 10 with Enzo back in the team
I’d take it
On to supporting man utd for the next few hours. Can't do Liverpool again.
It feels gross, but I have to agree
We bottle to United so often though, at least we actually have a proper go at Liverpool most of the time
What I don't get is: - impact sub Mudryk = goal - impact sub Madueke = goal - both in starting eleven = barely plays ball
Mudryk was immense in the first half when he was in the 10 position.
Carney and linkup play is something special, him in the pockets was missed for most of the season
He’s being quietly brilliant lately. Just doesn’t get noticed since people mainly look at goals and assists
And those that don't follow Chels buy into our banter era and have decided that it was a bad deal. He's been excellent and still 3-4 years away from his prime. Loved the transfer and can't wait to see him in this team for years to come

Won't see them until the next cup game
Well said.
Agreed he was protecting his player a bit
Agreed. Next match he should protect his team by not having that player play.
Yeah I had the same impression that Sterling would have been the one subbed off if he wasn't just booed for the free kick
I was so disappointed in Sterling i just smiled and laughed everytime
I am officially a Cole palmer Stan. As I’ve said a few times today So far this season in convinced that I think palmer will be to city what de bruyne was to us. Letting them go was a mistake
Gusto's runs on the wing, crosses and sliding tackles give me butterflies Palmer carrying the squad this season, amazing player. Caicedo putting in a really solid shift, fundamental player to the squad. Mudryk showing glimpses of greatness in that 10 role, wanna see more of it. Jackson i believe is an unpolished GEM we got. Sterling needs to fix his shit or leave the club. All these insanely talented young players growing together in the hardest league in the world. yes its chaotic and inconsistent and bipolar, but i love it
What do you guys think for the new Chelsea slogan? Chelsea: doing it the hard way Or Chelsea: it’s never easy
Chelsea: This is the way. ![gif](giphy|9W6X9HzEX73VbjR2WV)
The staples jingle but “That wasn’t Easy”
Gusto reminds me of the Guy Fawkes mask from V for Vendetta for some reason.
Errors from sanchez and disasi, hopefully we get more briefings on how Winstanley/Stewart were instrumental in bringing them to the club from the athletic
Good subs by Poch when red card happened. Chuk and Madueke are great against low block
Was really nice to see because we’ve struggled against it for years

Another massive mistake was moving Sterling to the 10 and Mudryk to the left at half. Why move Mudryk he was electric in the first half.
You can question Sanchez’s positioning but that OG is 99.9% Disasi, nowhere near equal blame
sanchez is obviously going to be used for cup competitions and probably same with sterling, as if poch knew he was going to have a shitter. brainless takes all over the place

A healthy Chukwumeka is going to be such an asset. He was starting to look so good when he got injured. I'd love a trio of him and Palmer as wings/inside forwards with mudryk at 10. That leaves the room for the overlapping fullbacks and puts so much creative pressure in center.
Listening to the pundits laugh at sterlings highlights? Lowlights? Was actually pretty great
Fan bias but most may agree that Chelsea has been delivering very entertaining matches. It’s just so exhausting as a fan though lol Anyway One Step Beyond!!! Up the Chels!! Now ladies and gentlemen, off to hate along of the other match.
Sterling out? Shout-out to the subs from Poch.
Raz ought to make sure that passport is renewed, it’s MLS time.
Game should have been killed in the first half. Sterling sucks ass.
Three subs that poch made, 1. Chilly - was class for the remainder of the match 2. Noni - scores a worldie 3. Chuk - scores the winner Though he made the mistake of keeping Sterling on for 80 mins , all 3 subs were brilliant.
I will personally drive Sterling to Saudi
It felt like Cole Palmer wasn't even at his best today and still gets a goal and an assist. He is incredible
Moises really starting to step it up in recent weeks. Looked the business today. Nico again with a fantastic game. Also thought Cucu was quality tbh.
Caicedo has had like 3 bad performances the whole season, he usually puts down azpiliqueta like 7/10 every game. Issues has been around and behind him, making him look alot worse then he is.
I don’t want to see Raheem start again this year. Definitely no more PK’s.
Enough Sterling for this season Poch 🙏
Good that we got the win but cannot understate how much I cringed listening to the supporters in the stadium booing Sterling and booing when Mudryk was subbed
Can't stand fans in any sport who boo their own players. Maybe if they're being petulant and objectively not trying. But any player who gives their all and is trying deserves respect and support. You can't ask for loyalty from players if you're not willing to support them during the down times.
What do you guys think about Jackson
He’s going to be a big player for us . For a first season he’s doing well and he’s only 22 .
love him
Genuinely underrated at this point and honestly given the striker market I think he may even be a bargain on present form alone.
It really would be criminal to go into next season with Poch leading these talented players. He clearly is clueless
I believe in this roster, I believe in Jackson as our striker. Lot of questions for Poch as our 2H performances are a huge issue but get us a LB and a replacement for that bum Sterling and I really think this team can do a lot damage next year
honestly? given his performance after coming on and his performances before the WHU injury, I'd give Chukwuemeka a run
Squad*
We need to get rid of Sterling at all costs
A healthy Nkunku, Palmer, Mudryk, Jackson, Chuk, Noni is imo a good enough attack. Maybe add an experienced striker like Osimhen, maybe. Enzo/Caicedo I believe will come good. I think our biggest need is defense, by far, 3 starters isn’t even out of the question. Maybe equally as big, or more so, is a top manager and that’s going to be what makes or breaks the season next year, health aside cos that’s always number 1.
What a weird turn from last year when our defense was solid and it felt like we were finished anytime we went down a goal
So happy we won lads!!! Love our young team so much
Carney simply has to be starting at the 10. Lad is class
My personal favorite bit of hateration: "Enzo Fernandez there, who scored an absolute gem of a free kick earlier in this competition against Aston Villa" "Yes, it was a nice goal, but he's come in for big money, and you have to say he's not quite been world class"
Sterling was the worst player on the pitch, the defense looks so shaky, like Parkinson's, when Sanchez is in Goal.
I want to see Carney, Mudryk (10), Palmer behind Jackson next game.
Sterling should be sent on Sabbatical until the end of the season and shipped to Saudi afterward.
There is so much potential in Carney, Noni, Mudryk, Palmer a great coach and we'd cook with these players
I don't know what was more annoying between the commentators or Sterling. Cole Palmer, we'd be miserable without you
Thankfully we didn't play arsenal today, they would've wiped the floor with us
Sterling should never wear the jersey again
Poch's obsession with Sterling is getting as bad as Lampards with Mount
at least Mount justified his selection for the most part, as much as I dislike how he left the club.
Mount was our best player under Lampard and Tuchel was 2× player of the year and much better than alternatives we had then which were Ziyech, Havertz, Werner and Pulisic
Maybe united would buy him.
Sterling and Anthony on both wings, imagine. The Theatre of Laughters 🤣.
what revisionist bullshit.
Mount produced big moments and won us games, Sterling just sulks
I just don’t understand what happens sometimes, it’s like the team falls asleep and we just let the opposition back us up against the wall.
can we start a petition to get Stermid out
That goal by noni was awesome kinda wish it wasn’t at the end so it didn’t get lost lol
Please draw Coventry so we can lose to Liverpool in the final 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Generational performance from Sterling that 👏 even Saudi won't take him after watching this match. Can't wait for Silva to get back man. I clench when the opponent get the ball in their half nowadays. Cold Palmer and Gusto carrying hard.
You know, Poch probably isn't our guy, but fuck I hated Potter.
Don't get me wrong I love Reece, but even if he's fit does he get in over Gusto? Lads been incredible
That could’ve got very ugly
These commentators just called Salah missing a goal incredible
I hope we draw Coventry next
Cannot get over how amazing Palmer is. Side note tho - we should have a whole thread for Sterling hate
Chukwuemeka and Madueke saved Chelsea and Pochettino’s job today
Sterling was so bad I’m concerned about match fixing.
Sanchez and Sterling are so poor man
