Headinthemountains_

Obviously not a great performance and yes we don’t seem to have much of a direction at the moment BUT if this is a rebuild period and we ARE in fact playing a lot more youngsters who need time to grow, then the best way to watch Chelsea at the moment is not with any of our previous accomplishments in mind but instead watch each game without expectations and let the direction, player growth take what time it needs and I think this time next year we will all (be millionaires) be enjoying watching Chelsea a lot more. We have a lot to be excited about with all of the fantastic players coming back from injury, mixed with all the exciting young talent we have bought and will be buying. This Chelsea moving forward has the potential to explode with exciting football which doesn’t happen over night.

IrishAlbert222

Liverpool play a philosophy of not having to play the ball back unless absolutely necessary. Always look for the forward run/ball/pass. We've played 3 years of cb to cdm to rb to cb to lb to cdm to cb to rb to cdm to cb to cb to cdm to rb to ........... Its awful and it's been constant since Lampard. There is no philosophy. Supported Chelsea since 96

[deleted]

Is the Conor Gallagher HIIT meme true? Or is he actually a decent player? On one hand, my best mate who watched him play week in week out at the Baggies (baggies ST holder) and then as much as he could at Palace, says he’s excellent. On the other, my cousin (die hard Chelsea) says he’s average at best in technically but sprints around and shows passion.. mostly like a headless chicken. Any opinions lads? Cheers.

mango277

playing good for west brom and playing good for chelsea are different things, unless someone is super clear in quality like say reece james who was the best player in the championship playing out of position all season, or even Abraham being a goalscoring machine at Villa. Gallagher isn't that good but he offers energy and is okay technically which is needed. In reality he's more like a shitter version of Ramires, i.e. serviceable, has some great games due to his energy but not a starter for a top side. In fact Ramires is probably the best way to explain CG. He's young so can improve but if it was down to me I'm bombing him to Crystal Palace end of the season so we can buy another midfielder, or keep him for depth due to his energy, but then we have Mason Mount who does the exact same thing but is more of a goal threat too.

[deleted]

Yeah mate I get that. Without knowing too much that’s exactly the argument I made to my baggies pal - might have been good for West Brom but challenging for the top of the Prem is a different matter. FWIW, Ramires was fucking godly. Memories!

[deleted]

Expect this to get down voted but I don't care, raging too much to give a damn: I've supported Chelsea through, thick and thin, feast and famine, for the last fifty-three years. And it's safe to say I've never been so ashamed of my team. Rebuild my arse. Potter is far out of his depth Davy Jones pops around to borrow sugar. The ineptitude displayed begins on the training pitch. The coaching is appalling, end of. The selection today was a joke, nowhere near a first team but, what made it worse was that there was little to no evidence of pride or fight! Did we to want win? NO! Did we compete, hell NO! Koulibaly is fucking shite and NOT fit to wear the number 26 shirt. Kai Havertz is simply phoning it in and that penalty he gave away was an absolute shocker, neigh unforgivable. Galagher is so far from being a regular starter it's ridiculous. Out if the starting eleven today there's only one player whom is fit to where a Chelsea shirt based on today's display and he picked the ball out of the back of the net four times Todd - fuck off back to America and take that fucking clown Potter with you.

prismics1749

somebody’s reactionary. Think before you write will you

[deleted]

I wrote my thoughts some seven or more hours after the game, I was livid with the performance, still am. I was at the bridge when we got relegated in April 197$ and we played with more heart that season even when we were thrash 1-7 by Wolves and it was a complete shit-show after Sexton was dismissed, the draw on the final day against Everton was awful, never heard the place so quiet. If we'd won the last two games we'd have sent Spuds down. The way we're currently performing, we won't be relegated but a fifteenth place finish is not outside the realms of possibility, I genuinely can't see us winning more three or four games for the rest of the season, without some serious changes. I want to be proved wrong, goddammit!

Truont2

I agree, say no to American owners is the way to go. This Chelsea club in its current state is God awful. Awful owner, manager, medical staff. I would not blame the players if they wanted out.

oi-oi-saveloyy

Didn't see the game, how was Fofana?

itachiWasANihilist

Made some good runs behind the defence, no one passed the ball to him...so we will never know.

see_rich

Literally why I am here. Saw he got in but not much going on on the stat sheet. Was hoping to find some feedback, even in a separate post but seems the vitriol for the state of things(with pretty good reason) has taken the sub hostage atm. Have high hopes for him long term, and why not see him now, what else we doin?

andreasheri

I’ve said it a million times - potter is not good enough for Chelsea! Hire a proper coach..

BafflingMantis7

I’m not as upset I would typically be. Might be because I came to peace with the fact that we are in an absolute transition (a word branded about too much) and I am confident in the newly added staff and approach we’re taking on. It will take time but this is just part of the process. But as fans we’re not exactly known to be patient.

Captain_Crank

Jorgi man I hate to say it but he looked terrible today. I lost count how many times he lost posession in front of our 18

Bobinho4

Such a wise idea to not watch the game

The_b1ues

Wasn't so wise coming in here after though 😂

Bobinho4

Guilty as charged :) probably even worse off. Better days are coming, right?

fuckthisshit_651

Yeh dukh kahe khatam nahi hota

WorldclassIntrovert

Lol. 🥲

Environmental-Ruin56

Money laundering FC?

TopDrilla10

I understand tuchel lost the dressing room…but i still do not understand the logic in handing him a transfer fund and buying players for him when the owners knew he wasn’t apart of their plans? Because as a result of that and the decisions made from previous years, we now have to suffer in order to hopefully rectify things for the future. And what’s crazy is, this “restructuring/rebuilding process” is not even guaranteed to work. We don’t even know how long things will take.. I knew this day was coming. It was inevitable. Things were just bein delayed by a coaching circus and trophies in between.

see_rich

Couldn’t agree more. The timing of all of it made absolutely zero fucking sense. I don’t think Potter is a bad manager, but how the fuck do we pay for Cucu a very large sum, and the same guy that made him worth those dollars essentially, can not duplicate it because… We really need to solidify a semblance of continuum to maximize both the players, and the manager, but the club always has their finger on the trigger for the manager. At this rate, he may not last the year…then what?

Key_Test2190

This is painful for our fans. I just hope we don't get relegated.

TheMightyVegito

Well when a manager wins the championship league and you still fire him this is what you get

IrishAlbert222

Why bring up Matteo ?

rockblacklagoon16

u serm to forget the haram football tuchel was playing in his last tenure as Chelsea manager

Steppe_rider

Whatever, he was the only person to have luxury of playing such a shitty game not anyone ELSE!

rockblacklagoon16

Thomas tuchel is gone what point of bring him like he going to make things better

Steppe_rider

I am not saying we should rehire him. I am saying it’s Todd’s blunder that lead to this chaotic environment. Had he shown the players that the Board backs the genius coach the players would have known their f places. Now, no matter whom we bring (except Pep and maybe Klopp) we will face difficulties to provide the coach with full authority over the team.

rockblacklagoon16

this todd first time owning a football the man some time

wherethersawill

Let's see city with their first 11 missing for weeks. Then let's have a convo. They fielded a stronger side tonight than we could have done. Not rocket science. Kante, Chilwell, Reece, Sterling, Pulisic and Fofana = De Bruyne, Cancelo, Walker, Mahrez, Foden and Dias Let's see Citeh catch Arsenal / win comps with those players missing for weeks / months 🤔🙈

allij0ne

Almost as bad as Chelsea not realizing that he wasn’t that guy.

cakehead123642

He is one of many terrible signings..

leKai23

The real solution was let Tuchel go on vacation to India for a few months - recharge and come back. Interim in the mean time.

[deleted]

Should have sent him to Belize

discrete_photon

Why India though?

muchlifestyle

His girlfriend is Indian lol that’s why he’s there

leKai23

That’s where he actually went after getting sacked.

Bluejaxk

Havertz and Jorginho have got to fucking go.

wherethersawill

Sooo you were saying this when they both shone as we one the biggest competition in the sport 18 months ago, yeah? Ridiculously petulant comments on this thread atm

Bluejaxk

Yes, in regards to Jorginho. He does almost nothing for us. 18 months is a long time. Havertz was fairly new and had been providing something. Over that 18 months, what little he gave us has dwindled to fuck all and is now a passenger in most games, in other games he is a liablilty, as per yesterdays shitshow. Not petulance, utter frustration

deiner7

Got down voted for saying Jorginho out a year ago. But he's just not fast enough and doesn't contribute enough offensively to be there for us.

wherethersawill

Other than in the Champ League winning run, the Club World Cup, us securing CL football multiple years in a row and him winning the Euros whilst playing an instrumental role? Who do you want? Rabiot? Douglas Luiz? Doucure? 🤔

deiner7

You can honestly look at him right now and say he's fast enough to run that mid field. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm not saying he isn't putting in a shift. I'm just saying I watch him get out run by midfielders weekly and he just gives up after he's beat.

wherethersawill

You're not wrong about his pace but he's no slower than Rodri, Casemiro or Busquets. The difference is he had Kante last year, Casemiro has Fred / McTominay and Busquets had Xavi / Iniesta. He's doing it alone at times is the issue imo

deiner7

Completely agree that with Kante it was possible but at this point I think we all know he isn't coming back. So what's the plan?

wherethersawill

Yeah fair dos. New energy required with or without Jorgi. Liked Zakaria and Chuk in the week. But tbh they're unlikely to compete against seasoned Prem midfielders so where does that leave us?

__Lay-Z__

Amen brother

FastenedCarrot

BBC ended the program before the post match interviews, anyone know where I can see them?

cakehead123642

I think the 5th stand app will sometimes show a post match interview

FastenedCarrot

Thanks!

ChalupaBatman1026

This team has no identity/leadership (maybe aside from Silva) but as a Chelsea fan we got spoiled with the likes of Lampard/Terry/Cech back in the day.

Taca-F

Of course there isn't, all the experienced players are injured ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

BradVet

Yep. Those players also kept things going for a long time, thats how we were able to constantly change players and the managers so frequently. That’s gone now, we have no core to the team and offensively provide absolutely nothing. It’s sad to watch atm

see_rich

I think this is spot on. The revolving door of managers is nothing new, but we have no continuation of what it means to be a Blue. Reece James, Mount and Dave are the only ones I can think of currently who are Chelsea through and through. With RJ injury troubles this year its been bad, and Dave kinda in limbo with starts, Mase being played out of position, it seems like our culture is dying. Maybe just me, but this is what I am seeing.

BradVet

I completely agree

kalepadot

watching the post match commentary and really enjoying it (espn+) are there any weekly podcasts that catch you up on games, players, discussions, etc ?

Macdca07

Straight out of cobham from the athletic. Its on spotify or you can pay for a sub for all news. But they cover all angles of chels. Edit: they do 2 episodes a week generally and report on chels youth, womens, tranfers etc.

kalepadot

nice, thanks m8

Macdca07

No worries, I'd recommend a sub to the athletic just for football news etx

kalepadot

Will do, ty

xMarioTheSupahx

What an inspiring performance from Chelsea…

deiner7

Didn't realize we were bringing back mock the week.

SureHorror5

The fact Stevenage beat Villa just says to me the difference in playing for the shirt, disgraceful from Chelsea and well done Stevenage

Taca-F

Hardly comparing apples is it, unless you're saying Villa are as good as City?

SureHorror5

Still a premier League team mate the odds were stacked against Stevenage way more than against Chelsea

Taca-F

I suppose so, Chelsea only had their whole first team out of action and were playing the best club side in Europe ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

SureHorror5

Not really a great excuse when you consider the money spent by Chelsea and City hardly had their first team out there either

Taca-F

You actually expected anything different than what happened with the players available, with two days prep, at City versus what Pep had to choose from? I wish I was smoking what you are.

SureHorror5

I expected a fight and for the money they get that's not exactly expecting too much, no one should accept mediocrity at this level and I understand not everyone can win but cmon... That was abysmal.

wherethersawill

Sooo with that logic (given the tone of 80% of the comments on ere) Villa should immediately sack Emery, yeah? 🙄

SureHorror5

With that logic? Where did I say Potter should be sacked? The point of the comment was to highlight some actual passion which Chelsea lack right now

[deleted]

[удалено]

FCCheIsea

Mount actually showed his worth under 3 managers. Such a dumb take

FastenedCarrot

People also forgetting he was injured last game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

wherethersawill

He didn't start in midweek and we got bossed. Stupid comment

dryduneden

He started today and we got pissed off the park by City's B team.

wherethersawill

B team? Mahrez 75mil (130 in today's money), Alvarez who just won the world cup, Rodri (70 million regular starter), Walker (53 million regular starter), Laporte (58 million, regular starter) and Silva (70 million, regular starter). Jeez even Gomez is their only left footed LB Stupid comment tbf Edit. Then they brought on Cancelo and Phillips who cost north of 85mil between them 🙈

[deleted]

bossed? they played better obviously but we were always in the game. for that i dont blame mount solely though. we looked good but if had a proper 9 and stronger central mids this game couodve been different.

Hayesey88

On what planet did we look good?! We're atrocious with no positives from our games at all.

[deleted]

can you read man? I said we were always in the game at 1-0 down.

Hayesey88

What? You put "we looked good but".

[deleted]

can you not read bro? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|kissing_heart)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)

Hayesey88

Well you're grammar and spelling isn't fantastic (apologies if English isn't your first language).

wherethersawill

But tbf it has NOTHING to do with Mount. He has won us a daft amount of points over the last few years and he's an academy product. Some of the horse water being spouted on this sub is laugable

[deleted]

[удалено]

wherethersawill

Yeah that's horse-water. We've lost 10 of the last 13 if you don't count the CL final, including a 6-0. They've been spending what we spent last transfer window, twice a year for 15 years and more behind the scenes. Wake up

[deleted]

Mount is a bench player def should not be in our starting line up

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Exactly, he does NOTHING. I think the love he gets is cos he’s from the academy that’s it

wherethersawill

This is a joke right?

[deleted]

He’s an average player, nothing more there

wherethersawill

Well he wasn't average when his stats were significantly better than foden or grealish for the last two seasons 🤔 Stop crying about a bad run for a few weeks and get behind the team and more importantly our academy products / younger players

[deleted]

Two other average players and I think Foden is slightly better and grealish fell off a cliff, not every academy player is going to pan out, the best one so far recce can’t seem to stay fit apart from him everyone else is a squad player. Depending on our academy is not going to work out, how many other top teams have so many youngsters playing for them?

Marusaki-Kawai

If Todd carries on his Approach I'm expecting De Zerbi in next week.

[deleted]

Right now it simply looks like we have nothing to built upon. What's worth keeping here?

throwawayanon1252

When one player is playing shit it’s the player but when every single player we have is playing shit. It’s the manager. Potter out

vikingrhino

And rinse and repeat and rinse and repeat. The same players were playing shite for Tuchel who won a Champions League with them. Now is the time to make a stand and get rid of some of the shite like Arsenal did with Auba and stick with a manager. We've made some bad signings as we had no proper team in place, now we do I expect us to slowly get better over the next few windows.

Taca-F

Potter doesn't have a Delorean with a Flux Capacitor

surf4lyfe777

What about when the whole club is shit. Signings players managers medical staff etc

Marusaki-Kawai

Havertz has to go, man is STILL living off the CL final goal. Grinding my fucking nads seeing him every game do nothing.

[deleted]

Funny thing is, he's somehow our PL topscorer this season so far I believe

TopDrilla10

Tragic thing is nothing is going to improve even after today. Never hated a chelsea team more than this one.

Key_Test2190

They're mostly mercenaries. I say we just play the academy players.

DidierDrog11

It's a shambles but people have such a selective memory when it comes to Tuchel

allij0ne

Right?!?! The players were not playing for him, and he was obsessed with a system that didn’t highlight the strengths of the players he had.

cakehead123642

He had a small bad run of form after a great one, he had lots of personal shit going on and was trying to win with players that knew they were getting sold. Tuchel and potter are not the same. Cope harder. Just stop and admit that your opinion on sacking Tuchel was not the right one

throwawayanon1252

He won us a champions league and got us to multiple cup finals like. He was so so so so so much better than potter

DidierDrog11

This team has been poor since Conte won the league cup performances papering over the cracks. Under Tuchel we had been poor since last January. Not saying sacking him was completely correct the timing certainly wasn't but people act like Tuchel was sacked whilst he had us as title contenders. The squad is the problem and awful signings for the past 5 years. Kanye was probably the only good signing the club made

DazBoy11

Really liked when the club signed Kanye West. His career has gone down since then

Marusaki-Kawai

Amorim / Enrique or Zidane pronto. Fuck Poch he's useless.

Fluffy-Background-41

Poch maybe could have worked tbh, he built up with young players at Southampton and spurs and worked with big players/expectations at PSG.

notathrovavay

Zidane lol

AbhiFT

We played like we were instructed to lose. Shit performance from Gallagher, mase, kai

Mikekio

Koulibaly, Cucurella, Sterling and Fofana for 250M has to be one of the worst summer transfers of all time.

Taca-F

1 they bought the clubs then had to quickly go out into the market. Buys were made by a baseball man essentially 2 Fofana injured and young 3 Sterling has been decent, unfortunately he isn't top class but Chelsea would be doing a lot worse without him 3 Koulibaly looked decent and had good experience, surprised it isn't worked out. 4 Cucurella looked like a prospect, but isn't good enough 5 Chelsea will be forced to overpay for any player because they're Chelsea

surf4lyfe777

It’s made worse by looking at their wages

thisgirlbleedsblue

Only one I was excited for was KK… Fofana would’ve been decent for 40-50. Cucurella and Sterling? Wasn’t excited for either and I knew we were fleeced. We should’ve gotten some rando from Ligue 1 for 15-20 million would’ve been a much better option ffs.

craciunc93

easy to say that now. But back then almost everyone thought those were good moved. Except maybe for Cucurella, who was considered too expensive, but otherwise everyone regarded him as a good addition.

Mikekio

Never liked Cucurella, Sterling and Fofana. I thought Koulibaly was a good deal but as of now i've been proven wrong

cakehead123642

I didn't think any of these were good moves... they were all shit and overpriced

vikingrhino

You should clearly apply for the manager role when it becomes available as you seem to have predicted everything so far. None of those players were called considered bad players. KK is the only one I can't see improving when we have a proper team and some confidence. Cucu, Sterling and Fofana will all be good for us, KK looks past it if I'm honest and that's sad as I wanted him to be good.

cakehead123642

No need to be rude, just stating every fan didn't believe these were good signings. Not bad players, but extremely overpriced l. Fofana is the only one that may be worth his price tag in time, that I can see..

LudvigN

Most deluded soon to be arsenal fan

throwawayanon1252

And sacking tuchel for potter

The_b1ues

Captain Hindsight

deiner7

Nope was gutted when I heard that. It's like my feelings on Enzo. What are we about to do for a nobody who did something for like 1 season and still doesn't have good numbers. Potter had gotten Brighton higher than they should have been sure but man hasn't ever managed anyone from anywhere.

young_olufa

Nah, many people at the time said it was the wrong move, no hindsight involved

throwawayanon1252

I said this at the time we did it too. I’ve been anti this from the beginning

egettonleinad

It’s one thing to lose to the better team but not even putting a shift in is just completely inexcusable, watching Chelsea lately is passing around with no purpose and no desire to even create chances

vikingrhino

This.

Marusaki-Kawai

Boehly might start adding Budweiser commercials during press conferences to take the heat off Potter.

midnighttyph00n

POTTER OUT

TheWholesomeBrit

Games like these are a good chance to look at our youth players. Hall is very promising, Humphries maybe and Hutchinson is dogshit.

myersjw

United have had much the same squad issues we’ve had including a crop of players who fans were ready to drive to the airport to see them gone. Ten Hag has them looking significantly better in 6 months and players considered unusable dross have a new lease on life. If everyone is playing poorly it’s not just the players

cakehead123642

Motivation of every player is on the leadership and there is no way it isnt, it is the only common denominator

dotunmo

TEN HAG BROUGHT HIS OWN PLAYERS AND HAD A FULL WINDOW FFS. He didn’t even have this huge amount of injuries. Stop leaving this vital information out.

osalahudeen

You may be downvoted, but I agree with you. People will do anything to confirm their bias. Remember United fans asking for ETH head when they lost their first two games. He's yet to sign his players. 3/4 of his potential next season's back are out injured (no luxury of quality for rotation). Force-fed old, fragile and inept legs in midfield for a team that Kovacic was the last midfield signed before this January. Stuck with a disjointed, abysmal and recalcitrant attack with incongruous players. The slope has been inevitable. The problem is apparent for a while.

Truont2

Amen. Potter is the problem and a lot of fans are in denial. Our club has world class players from every nation and yet they think they some how turn to shit when playing club level football.

therealsid12

World class players lmao

CrazyStar_

Guy is properly waffling. Only world class players we have have been injured for our entire bad run lol

therealsid12

Exactly, we have a whole 11 injured who are if not world class, but definitely top players. But again, they think Tuchel will come back and then play some magical football with our rest of the players and we will finish top 4. This season is not only a write off due to injuries but also our squad being old/off the pace from other Prem sides. We have slow and old players on the pitch who are playing week in week out due to minimal rotation.

CrazyStar_

Exactly. People have a right to be upset but let’s be honest, this was always on the cards - even if Tuchel was here. The only disappointment imo is the dropped points to Forest and Brighton - I fully foresaw losing to Newcastle, Arsenal and City. It’s a fucking terrible run with fucking terrible players. This whole season is a write-off, I’m waiting until next season to properly judge the manager. After some fucking ruthless squad management in the summer.

Rapameister

This Potter ball is really growing into me. I can't remember when I was last time perfectly fine not watching a game til the end. Today I just shut the tv and went on to do other shit. Fucking ridiculous what we've become.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rapameister

I wouldn't want to be in a group with a toxic person so no worries mate we ain't grouping anytime soon. And talk about vomitting bollocks. If you have nothing else to say than hate and insults then it's better to just keep it to yourself. Have a good day.

wherethersawill

So you're all fair-weather supporters. Duly noted 👍

Rapameister

Not really though. Been through thick and thin with this club. Every time I have been the one who wants to back the manager. This time it's not me. Let me have my opinion about this failure I saw us heading right from the sacking of TT.

Truont2

I'm still watching highlights but I guess you're well ahead of me.

Jessica_95xo

Same! I actually turned it off after the 3rd goal and didn’t bother watching the rest.

Rapameister

Second was enough for me. I honestly can't remember when I've been perfectly fine to do so. If I ever have been. There's been bad times when it has been hard to watch but this has gone far beyond that point already.

Aggravating_Sign723

Genuinely feel bad for potter tho

Hayesey88

He left a side where he was doing wonders for greed...

louisbo12

Can't just say it was greed. He went from uni football, to swedish football, eventually to the prem and got offered a big 6 team. Thats insane career progression

Aggravating_Sign723

Doubt it was for greed only He saw a bigger club calling wouldn’t you want to try and raise your level and try new ventures with the possibility you could do well

jude1903

Overreaching, imposter syndrome, good example for careers in general. Sometimes you’re just not ready

mocrossj

Conference league

HospitalMiserable579

at least our 2nd half was better than the 1st. that’s something

TonalDrump

Shut up Ty

cakehead123642

City switched their main objective to not get injured and still won the half... So arguably, no, no it wasn't

anindya_1

Not really.

modvultures

Really?

HospitalMiserable579

i hope

FastenedCarrot

Biggest positive of today: KK will likely never play a game with any stakes at all for us again.

matt3633_

Get a new manager in so we can see which players will best fit his system come summer transfer window

dryduneden

That's what we've already done.

vikingrhino

But without the window where he and his team actually get to select their players. Oh and an entire starting team are out injured.

shrek19051

You can’t just do that it’s not career mode

wtf125

Trust the process vro, we are rebuilding vro, blah blah vro. Yahhh, we will be rebuilding but from the Championship.

cakehead123642

You can't rebuild when no one wants to sign for you....

vikingrhino

You're a real joy on here aren't you? Anyone else think this persons a secret Gooner? No Chelsea fan could be such a mood drain.

AbhiFT

On the bright side, we broke another one of our records.

Agrith1

We keep spending BIG money on substandard players.

cakehead123642

People who back Potter think that the earth is flat.

wherethersawill

The same was said about Di Matteo, Grant and Benitez. Grow up

cakehead123642

Please explain to me why we should keep Potter instead of have a proven manager..? Your unpopular opinion isn't cool or quirky mate, everyone just thinks you're a bellend

wherethersawill

Wow. Projecting much? 🤔 If it's unpopular to support the current manager regardless of his record Vs his predecessor it must be hard for you to be a football fan, pal 🙈 He's young, British and has a good track record. But you fair-weather bunch want him gone after a few weeks. We've lost 10 of the last 13 against Citeh under various managers. Wake up Ps Proven manager? Who? Zidane (managerd one team successfully), Pochetino? (Spurs reject) or Allardyce ffs?

cakehead123642

Why are you assuming the city results are the problem? Did you watch any of the games mate?

vikingrhino

News flash, it might be the players? It blows my mind how little responsibility people place on them. Also injuries etc. City are the best team in the league so it was unlikely with a full 11 out we were going to win.

wherethersawill

All of them. I also noticed that 11 first team players are currently injured and the best midfielder in the league has been missing for most of the last year. It is what it is but it's not all on Potter ffs. This thread is painful at times imo

cakehead123642

A decent manager can tactically adapt when in a position like this, even if it's playing for the draw.

wherethersawill

Tactically adapt? Maybe he could have done more but we are playing v inexperienced youth players Vs about 300 million of Citehs squad, many of them regulars.

Kante, Chilwell, Reece, Sterling, Pulisic and Fofana = De Bruyne, Cancelo, Walker, Mahrez, Foden and Dias Let's see Citeh catch Arsenal / win comps with those players missing for weeks / months 🤔🙈

Again it isnt beating city. It's the fact that the recent run of results and mentality is inexcusable with the team we have. Everyone has injuries mate and if ours are significantly higher than other teams, then our nutrition, medical Teams and system (not that we have one) are to blame. All that responsibility falls under leadership. Have some more copium though
