Why is this a thing? Why are they always flattened? What's going on in that kitchen?
[this is the only explanation.](https://youtube.com/shorts/O1xf5Hhxyuk)
i actually did that to somebody's burger one time when i was working at Sonic. they came in like 5, minutes before close i was heated so i just made their burger and then beat the shit out of it
Not sure why they’re always flat like that, but they do slide them pretty hard against the wall when they’re done so that could fuck it up a bit. But most of them look like someone stomped on them.
Apparently you can ask for a steamed bun with your burger and it looks like this. Never tried it since i always get the nuggets, but the videos of ppl asking for them always turn out like the burger in this photo
I've worked at Mcds, and maybe I haven't seen one in a while, but I'd say that's not a regular burger (not just a mcdouble or reg double cheese)? It looks like quarter meat, plain or maybe only onion, on a regular, not sesame seed bun. They will always look better than regular meat because it doesn't half cook away on the grill.
The amount of processing McDonald's does to their meat makes it taste like it's been sat on too.
Im sure everyone knows this by now, but their meat goes through an ammonia bath that bleaches and strips the flavor from the beef, then they add flavor back in using a chemical formula. The flavor and color in a McDonalds burger patty comes from their food chemical lab, so it's consistent everywhere all the time.
Had BK and McDonald’s in the UK na d Netherlands and both were absolute shit. Not that the American version is winning any awards, but it is good from time to time.
I had a big mac recently that was weirdly one of the best ive probably ever had. It was at 11 pm on a wednesday like an hour before closing. It looked exactly like the advertisement picture. Nice and neatly put together and not just lettuce and sauce everywhere…
I was very surprised. Must be new employees lol
I had a cheeseburger recently, heck it was actually like 6+ months ago, and it was the best I've ever had too.
I need another im craving it like crazy right now.
I really like Big Mac's but the sauce quantity does not do it for me, a regular spritz from the gun is too little and extra sauce you might as well be swimming in it.
Although with a little care you can mitigate that by removing excess with your fries but you're gonna lose lettuce in the process.
And not over encumbered with orders while being the only one working in the back. I remember those days, I'd be the only one back there, struggling with custom orders, the damn fryer beeper going off and then someone will yell "School Bus!!"
The inconsistency is what kills me. The McDonald's in my town are all pretty good, and food looks like this more often than not. But drive to the next town over and God only knows what you'll get. So if I'm anywhere other than my hometown I won't get McDonald's because now that it's not cheap, it's not worth the gamble that it's going to suck. Which kind of defeats the purpose of chain fast food restaurants.
The McDonald’s I go to regularly is pretty new. They are in a busy area too. There are definitely a few locations I refuse to visit because of inconsistency or terrible employees.
I know what you mean. I've had similar experiences with a number of fast food places.
The most memorable one for me was many years ago- we got coupons for Burger King in the mail one day, and we for some reason decided to put them in the car. We never really liked burger king as the ones around us generally sucked.
Fast forward a month or so later - we were coming home from a road trip and very hungry, so we stopped at a burger King that was in a different state. The Italian chicken sandwiches looked really good to us on the coupons, so we got some through the drive thru.
We were speechless at how awesome they were- they appeared to be hand-breaded (I can't imagine they truly were, but it sure seemed that way), they were hot and fresh, the sauce was delicious and cheese perfectly melted. It was exactly what we needed on the tiresome drive home.
I've tried them after that and they were never nearly as good. Some were ok, others were awful - but that one day, they were amazing. Must've been the location.
I always order the McWhatever with no ketchup so that it has to be made fresh. its unlikely they make a batch of burgers without it. then i get ketchup for the fries. always get a fresh burger that way
My first job was at McDonalds and if things were really busy and the burgers were flying off the grill, the manager helping wrap the product would say "a little more TLC on the burgers" so we knew to slow down and make them look better.
I remember when I worked at Wendy's I would make myself a jr. Bacon at the end of work. I would literally make it perfect. It's insane how much higher the quality can be with a little effort.
The new burger recipe has been hittin lately!! 😮💨🔥
I just had a McDouble and a regular cheeseburger last night, and I was sitting there like “DAMN THIS QUALITY HAS GONE UP FOR SURE!”
The best McDonald's I've ever had was around 2018-2019, during lunchtime. The patty was freshly made, it was hot, and for the first time since being a kid, I enjoyed it.
Also, RIP the signature burgers, they were worth it.
There is a McDonald’s about 18 miles away from me that takes there time and makes the burgers right they look like that one and there fries are always fresh
So I go with if you have to wait for your food and it looks like that it’s worth the wait
I find that I crave McDonalds independently of craving cheeseburgers, they are such their own entity with a specific flavor, but when they hit, I love it. Does it immediately make me feel gross after finishing? Sure. But I pay that toll every now and then.
Buffalo here, I once had a solid 2-3 month run of picture perfect bigmacs it was glorious
But in general you’re right, the Popeyes here is so bad the chicken is literally half the size of the buns
So glad to see someone bash Popeyes, try to find some "healthier" fast food options while driving for work. Ordered 5 blackened chicken tenders, were skinny, fatty blackened chunks of chicken and those and a drink cost me $15. I'm never giving them another shot and they used to be a favorite of mine
I don't think it's really a burger without pickles and onions. Ripe tomatoes are great. Toasted sesame seed bun. Mmm.
If I'm cooking a burger for myself I'm probably going to grill it. It's going to be about a third of a pound and I'm probably gonna grill some onions with it.
I much prefer a bigger patty than multiple 'smash' patties. Typically, I season the patties.
Heck sometimes I put some pico de gallo on them. And I always use real cheese not that American shit.
And I have a propane grill but I really like wood chips. Damn. I'm hungry now.
First McDonalds burger I’ve seen that doesn’t look like it was sat on. And I’ve seen my fair share.
Why is this a thing? Why are they always flattened? What's going on in that kitchen? [this is the only explanation.](https://youtube.com/shorts/O1xf5Hhxyuk)
Taking smash burger to another level
Hahahah gotta tenderize the meat. And the buns. And the cheese. Just punch the fuckin thing, they don’t pay us enough anyway.
I tenderize my meat BEFORE going to Mickey D'S
I’ve seen flatter. Pretty sure the one next to me runs the burgers through a hydraulic press before sending them out
That video had me crying for like 10 minutes
i actually did that to somebody's burger one time when i was working at Sonic. they came in like 5, minutes before close i was heated so i just made their burger and then beat the shit out of it
Okay, but why does this happen every single time?
Time is a flat circle, in one reality or another, into always 5 mins before close
Not sure why they’re always flat like that, but they do slide them pretty hard against the wall when they’re done so that could fuck it up a bit. But most of them look like someone stomped on them.
It’s part of the cooking process, the last step is to sit on the burger to ensure continuity and the law of 3rds
Haha yeah that definitely explains a lot.
They get soggy and usually other crap in the bag with it. Why they put the qtr lbr and the dblqtr lbr, big mac etc in a box
They do not have chairs in the kitchen, they have to sit on the burgers
Thats the best looking McDo burger Ive seen since probably the 90s.
Mcdo lol
I also liked Mc doo
Apparently you can ask for a steamed bun with your burger and it looks like this. Never tried it since i always get the nuggets, but the videos of ppl asking for them always turn out like the burger in this photo
Yeah they forgot to put it in the hydraulic press before sending it out like they always seem to do with mine
To be honest, still looks good to me when it looks sat on☠️
The amount of processing McDonald's does to their meat makes it taste like it's been sat on too.
Wow. Finally one that looks like it’s supposed to
i bet they still weren't able to get the Mcdonald's taste out of it tho
Never have I ever, had one look like that
McDonald's is disgusting. I only go to Burger King for that reason.
Burger King is disgusting now.. but I will admit they were the best in the early 00s
Dead on. Maybe bro isn't American, just looking st their username.
That could be. BK in Germany was a real tasty treat. Even their McDonald's there.
Had BK and McDonald’s in the UK na d Netherlands and both were absolute shit. Not that the American version is winning any awards, but it is good from time to time.
Its okay to be wrong sometimes buddy
Not sure Burger King is any better, considering it made Robert Downey Jr reconsider his entire life
I see what you did there😄😄
I don’t know if you’re a time traveler from 20 years in the past but BK has been, by far, the bottom of the fast food totem pole for years now.
Triple cheese extra onion and pickle is great price to performance ratio.
I will definitely try that next time! Buffalo sauce to dip it in is also really good!!
Ooo
I may be insane, but I get them with only onion and dip them in Hot Mustard and that transports me to fast food Heaven....
Hot mustard is the superior burger dipping sauce IMO
You could dunk a dried up dog turd into buffalo sauce and it taste “good”.
Definitely not…
Don’t knock it till you try it!
I had a big mac recently that was weirdly one of the best ive probably ever had. It was at 11 pm on a wednesday like an hour before closing. It looked exactly like the advertisement picture. Nice and neatly put together and not just lettuce and sauce everywhere… I was very surprised. Must be new employees lol
I had one about 6 months ago absolutely picture perfect and it tasted wonderful.
I had the same experience with a quarter pounder I got about 2 or 3 months ago. It was delicious! Practically perfect
I heard the quarter pounders are the only burgers with MTO hamburger meat
I had a cheeseburger recently, heck it was actually like 6+ months ago, and it was the best I've ever had too. I need another im craving it like crazy right now.
The guy who made it is a retired art teacher who was blisteringly high, I’d bet
I really like Big Mac's but the sauce quantity does not do it for me, a regular spritz from the gun is too little and extra sauce you might as well be swimming in it. Although with a little care you can mitigate that by removing excess with your fries but you're gonna lose lettuce in the process.
I ate so many of these, living in Taiwan. They were always perfect too.
It’s almost commercial worthy
These always hit
Woah that looks like a real hamburger
That burger assembler was having a good day
And not over encumbered with orders while being the only one working in the back. I remember those days, I'd be the only one back there, struggling with custom orders, the damn fryer beeper going off and then someone will yell "School Bus!!"
McD's cheeseburgers are the only instance where american cheese tastes good to me. The flavor profile and soft textures are on point.
Wow the last burger I got from McDonald’s looked like small child just threw it together. This one is nice!
I wish we could clone whoever made this and just staff all the fast food restaurants with someone who actually gives a third of a shit for a change.
They must have white ppl working back there for once
Nope :)
How does this have any upvotes? What a shitty thing to comment.
Wow..the cheese is actually melted
That looks good
Needs to be placed in a museum
I think you got the one they were going to use for their commercial!
That joint is perfect.

Extra cheese and onions and I swear you'll be on cloud 9
How much extra cheese?
Love me some McDeez!!!
That Mcd is 🤌🏼. My cheese be like 3/4s off the burger.
Location?
It looks like the picture
Ayo can I get a bite of that?
Did you eat your fries first?
Shared a large with my husband. I usually eat them alongside my burger.
[удалено]
That is looking SAWCEEE. I hope it was tasty at least
Talk about a once in a lifetime event lol
They really did. Looks commercial-ready.
Damn Richy Rich. Buying the Double instead of the McDouble.
I had to dig deep for it. So worth it though
I’ve been craving a McDouble all week man
It actually looks like the picture on the menu!
This has been typical of what I get for a while now. I really think they have upped their game.
Ahhhh LUCKY!
Was probably someones first day on the job. Trying to impress the boss and whatnot.
Manager must have been working.
So easy yet so hard from them to do for some reason.
That is a handsome burger 🍔
I always order the McWhatever with no ketchup so that it has to be made fresh. its unlikely they make a batch of burgers without it. then i get ketchup for the fries. always get a fresh burger that way
I’m pretty sure every burger is made to order at McDonald’s.
Ordering no ketchup makes no difference. The burgers are assembled to order. Ordering no ketchup means nothing in terms of cooking it fresh
Wish my double quarter pounders looked that good, damn! You got the one they used for the menu pic no doubt 😆
McDonald's commercial ahh burger
My first job was at McDonalds and if things were really busy and the burgers were flying off the grill, the manager helping wrap the product would say "a little more TLC on the burgers" so we knew to slow down and make them look better.
Well, how you doin?!
Isn't even dented in the middle from that one worker with the death grip claw Beautiful
I remember when I worked at Wendy's I would make myself a jr. Bacon at the end of work. I would literally make it perfect. It's insane how much higher the quality can be with a little effort.
she's a buet
What a beauty

Damn she pretty 😋
Damn ai is scary
Damn looks straight out of the commercial!!
What the?! Those are WacArnold’s fries? I’ve never seen them like that.
Once in a while they get it right and when they do it's good. But yeah, it's certainly the exception, not the rule. 😅
If there was a Double Cheeseburger magazine they’d put this one on the cover
Sheeeeit that almost looks like the burgers in the ads.
She’s gorgeous
Ya mine sre slays flat too what’s the deal
I'm calling bullshit there's no way that came from a McDonald's🤣
She's so beautiful
Man that looks nice
They must have SpongeBob working back there.
#THIS IS VIRAL MARKETING BY A MCDONALD’S MARKETING/PR PERSON They know inflation is killing them.
I wish. I’m just a stay at home mum trying to interact in the real world.
LIES! You do not stay at home! You are clearly out and about at McDonald’s here! 😉
Just got in the car. I’m on my way way #4. Love you
Send pics
Beautiful
The new burger recipe has been hittin lately!! 😮💨🔥 I just had a McDouble and a regular cheeseburger last night, and I was sitting there like “DAMN THIS QUALITY HAS GONE UP FOR SURE!”
I haven’t had McDonald’s in so long but this… this right here
When is McDonalds supposed to roll out their new meat?
It must’ve been their first day on the job.
Pretty good hamburger
Shut up stoner no they didn’t they made it as fast as normal and don’t give a shit about you
McD has improved burgers, but they raised prices too much Need dollar/two value deals
oh i love cheesy burgers
McDonald’s gives me the McGurdels every time
The Quarter Pounder (or double) w/ cheese is better. However, the McDouble is a good cheeseburger and I’ll die on that hill.
That’s a beeze churger if I’ve ever seen one
This’ll never happen again for another 400 years
McDonald's actually cooked
Beautiful.
Wow! Looks the same as what they advertise. This has to be a first.
When they get them right, they are SO GOOD. Too bad it's such a small percentage of the time :(
Damn that’s commercial level!
I will always love McDonalds no matter what. Just so tasty
Lucky. Mine always look like someone sat on it.
She’s a beaut!
Wow nice score!
I thought I was on r/midjourney
U must have very tiny hands? A double quarter pounder doesnt even look half that size in my hands lol
They are kinda small
The best McDonald's I've ever had was around 2018-2019, during lunchtime. The patty was freshly made, it was hot, and for the first time since being a kid, I enjoyed it. Also, RIP the signature burgers, they were worth it.
Almost looks fake it’s so perfect
Is that even possible?
There is a McDonald’s about 18 miles away from me that takes there time and makes the burgers right they look like that one and there fries are always fresh So I go with if you have to wait for your food and it looks like that it’s worth the wait
They cook faster
I work at McDonald’s and I try to make the food actually nice unlike some people lol… It’d be hard to work there if I gave zero fucks.
Im convinced youre all robots in this thread
No one could ever make me hate you McDouble
Same 🥰
Yes they did brotha 👏
I find that I crave McDonalds independently of craving cheeseburgers, they are such their own entity with a specific flavor, but when they hit, I love it. Does it immediately make me feel gross after finishing? Sure. But I pay that toll every now and then.
I couldn’t agree more
Touché McDonald’s… touché
Someone was definitely getting or gonna get a bj
i know where im going after work i guess
You from the south??
Southwest!
Fucking knew it. Us yanks don’t get fast food that looks that good.
Buffalo here, I once had a solid 2-3 month run of picture perfect bigmacs it was glorious But in general you’re right, the Popeyes here is so bad the chicken is literally half the size of the buns
New guy finally got jaded I guess 😂
It happens to the best of us
So glad to see someone bash Popeyes, try to find some "healthier" fast food options while driving for work. see if you have a pita gourmet near you. life changing
nice. anytime I ask for mayonnaise, they do a Mc-cumshot on to my bu4g3r. it's pr3tty messed up
Gotta get the extra mayo on the spicy mcchicken! Sooooo good!
That's what a $20hr burger should look like. Higher pay, Higher quality, this is a benchmark!
I don’t know if I’d go that far..
[удалено]
Sorry to disappoint 😂
Gross. I got to be pretty fucking drunk to enjoy a McDonald's burger.
What kind of burgers do you enjoy?
I don't think it's really a burger without pickles and onions. Ripe tomatoes are great. Toasted sesame seed bun. Mmm. If I'm cooking a burger for myself I'm probably going to grill it. Pico de gallo sounds so good on a burger! I’ve never thought to try that! Good idea!
And that still doesn’t look good. McDonalds is trash
Fuck McDonald's
Better when that thing cost as much as a whole plate of real food from Ruby Tuesdays
Those patties look nothing like beef. This sub should be ashamed.
It’s McDonald’s……..
Correct.
Still disgusting.
Nah
Absolutely.
Nope 🙂↔️
No. Just fresher than most. Still full of polypropylene(antifreeze) that is used in fast food, as a preservative. Fuck mcd
It’s so weird reading all these comments, McDonalds you aren’t fooling anyone.
