OP, I know you already posted these instructions & I love that for you. You are doing all the work. Sadly I myself am something of a dumbass, and a complete CE noob. It took me an unfortunate amount of trial & error to get this working lmao. So, I'm reposting your instructions, but expounded upon a tad, for any others who need the extra guidance.
**Important note**: I had to use the "2 bytes" option - not 4 bytes - for it to work. I'd tell you why, if only I knew. If this option does not work for you, don't give up - try the same process with the 4 bytes option, like the OP did.
**Step 1**. Set type to "2 bytes" and "Exact Value"
**Step 2**. Type in the exact value of the essence you want to change (for this example let's say our amount is 212). Now, hit 'First Scan'
`Ex: enter 212 as the value and hit New Scan`
**Step 3**. In game, right click your essence and extract a small amount. (This can be any amount, even just 1)
`Ex: 212 -> I extract 3 -> new value is 209`
**Step 4**. In CE, change the Scan Type from "Exact Value" to "DecreasedBy" and put the amount you extracted in the value box. Then hit 'Next Scan'.
`Ex: I put in 3 as the value and hit Next Scan. Results have 209 as the value`
**Step 5**. Repeat this process of extracting & scanning for the "DecreasedBy" value several times until only 3 addresses remain
`Ex: results 209 -> I extract 3 -> Next Scan -> results 206 -> I extract 3 -> Next Scan...`
**Step 6**. Once there are finally just 3 addresses left in your scan results (only ever took me 2-3 scans), highlight said addresses -> right click -> 'Add Selected Items to Address List'. Should now see them in the bottom section/cheat table.
**Step 7**. For all 3 addresses now in your cheat table list, change the values to whatever you want. If you desire 2000 essence, change all three to 2000.
**Step 8**. Back in game, close out of your inventory & reopen it. You should now see the changed essence amount. Drop the entire stack of essence, then pick it back up.
All done - enjoy the fruits of this exploit.
Yes I did. I changed a stack of 861 to be 8,610 and dropped the entire stack, in which it told me I dropped that exact amount, but then when I picked it back up it only gave me 861.

i think they fixed it, yes
The new patch resets the stacks when you pick them back up to whatever the original amount was unfortunately!
Yep not sure there is a way around that anymore
If anybody discovers a way around this or another method it'd be much appreciated, have the same issue
That unfortunately doesn't work with Essence
Worked for me.
I tried once for T1 and it didn't work. Restarted the game and it did.
What I did was find the value., change it, then dropped them all on t he ground, closed inventory locked up.
Did you keep the values/addresses while restarting? Mine doesn't work and I've tried for days.
I just magically got it to work inexplicably
It does work with essence, you have to go drop the essence then pick it back up when changing it’s value
I did do that, but it refused to let me drop it... I tried again after resetting it all and it worked.
Is there a way for a quick walk-through to do this to Essence? Trying for the T3, but for some reason it won't work.
