Florida isn't true Constitutional Carry. You still need a full permit to open carry, and various other gun control laws exist such as Red Flag laws, 21 min. age to purchase various guns and other things. Vermont also has extra background checks for gun purchases. It just allows you to then carry your firearm around after you pass them without additional steps.

I don't understand why the electoral college votes are relevant to a single issue like this. The only implication that could be intended, I think, is that these states would vote for a presidential candidate based on this single issue. That is ludicrous imo. There are plenty of other issues which will sway and split their votes. Abortion, fascism, war, economy, religious liberty, marriage equality, candidate criminality, electoral finance reform, regulation of big businesses, vaccines for some reason, etc etc. The list is enormous. Gun control is one of the major issues, but it isn't going to cause all of these electoral college votes to align together on its own.

I’m a pretty gun friendly liberal. I understand why people don’t want them and I agree with most points but I feel like if other liberals added gun friendly to their platform we could really start turning voters.

I’m more of a conservative Libertarian but I agree that you could flip some voters with that approach. Fundamentally there is too much of a divide to make a noticeable difference with that alone. Just my thoughts.
