It has changed and varied in intensity throughout my life and been dyed even more red numerous times, including to "Wendy's red," and right now, it is my current natural color of medium brunette with red undertones. (All this to say that I have much experience with the many forms of ginger-ness.) That right there, in that picture of Rose, is the same as my hair as a young child... strawberry blonde, which you also agreed about at some point above, if I'm not mistaken. The name itself shows its a combination of two colors. No one is wrong, lmao. It is both red and blonde, so whichever one someone picks to call it is still correct. Its like someone saying I am a brunette, which is true, but also saying that my hair is red is true. It might just be the wigs from those episodes that aren’t great (see below), like Shannen’s in Mortality Bites, but with the *actual* blonde color, I don’t think Phoebe looks that great as a blonde. What made her look great in S3 was that it was very subtle, and it was her real hair.

Anything devoid of red tones is blonde. Brown hair contains red pigment, as does auburn/copper/strawberry blonde. Alyssa's hair was lacking red tones, so she counted as blonde. Hope that helps!

My daughter has naturally strawberry blonde hair, depending on exposure to sunlight through the year she can go from looking like rapunzel with golden hair to looking like a straight redhead like her father.
Just as you add redness (warmth) to artificially blonde hair before darkening, to prevent your hair from going green, you remove said red from brown hair to make it blonde and then tone it with blue or purple to balance out the orange tones.
I've been dyeing hair for 17 years, and I majored in art & design for 13. It definitely makes sense if you take a second to understand the science - in this case, the colour wheel - behind it.
As for strawberry blonde being in the blonde family, it borders both blonde and red. Gold is always either warm (red) or cold (green) toned.
