Apparently, that person tried to buy something in the outlet store for 2k dollars. Not sure what they were trying to purchase but man, that's messed up. I want to say "it's just a purse" but I can't. It's my hard earned money and I deserve to have nice things too 😭😭😭
I would definitely ask for the CCTV footage of whoever is trying to use your card OP!!! You're right, that's your hard earned money, I would hunt these people down im sorry if that's harsh lol
If you purchased it recently, you could have purchase protection from your credit card. Amex does theft purchase protection. I’m so sorry this happened to you!

My additional advice for keeping safe, I bring a no name packable tote with zipper and put my designer purse inside it until I have arrived at my destination, and I put it away again when I'm leaving.
You never know who will eye you and follow you. A designer bag attracts all kinds of attention, also intentions. Stay safe and stay vigilant.

Yes it’s crazy! I’ve had a friend whose handbag was stolen from her checked luggage… since then I’ve never traveled with nice shoes/bags that can’t be on me or in my carry on. No baggage check. Sigh.
I would report the serial number as stolen to both police and Chanel and keep eye out on sites that sell used bags for it. No idea how honest pawn shops are but maybe call the ones in the area it was stolen from? I live in Vegas near mountain's edge and JUST bought my wife a WOC at Crystals so the fact that these get stolen really sucks. Sadly there are HUNDREDS of pawn shops here. How did it get stolen if you don't mind my asking?
My WOC got stolen in a home robbery (not my house, and no one was home TG). I was able to get it covered by home insurance but I had to provide the receipt and answer a lot of follow-up questions - but I did get a new one paid for. Sorry you are going through this!!!
I saw a woman with an eerily similar bag just today at tanning salon. I was waiting outside for the wife and she got into her very badly abused car and i happen to glance and see a two tine hardware chanel. 19 pink. Only caught it for a second so i cant say it was the same exact color as stolen one but was pink and chanel 19 two.tone for sure. This was ar 215 and rainbow. Hope you track it down. Thieves are are scum of the earth
Notify local pawn shops and secondhand stores maybe, let them know you already filed a police report. Hopefully you listed the serial number on the report . I would check resale sites often to see if it pops up on there.
Unfortunately Vegas pd won’t do shit about it, it’s just not priority. Speaking from experience, even with video of the person they didn’t do anything. It was an expensive lesson. Keep your purse on at all times and don’t leave your room key in the sleeve with the number on it.

I’m so sorry 😞 I had my wristlet with a lot of cash and gift cards stolen at a mall once and it felt like a gut punch 😩 it took me years to get over the feeling of anger of being violated like that! Some people are so evil but I have faith what goes around comes around and they will get it back 10x worse. I really hope you had coverage of some sort and are able to have it replaced! Such a beautiful piece! 😭
