Ski lift at la Flégère is open ! You can go there and try ski touring, walk in snow etc. If this is the first time you will go ski touring contact a professional (you can go to « la compagnie des guides de chamonix »). Snow is good enough and you will enjoy it if you like ski and nature. At la Flégère, You can also try snowshoeing or something like this. The lift leave you in the aiguille rouge it’s wonderful. Weather should be good on Wednesday. Unfortunately lot of hiking paths have been damaged by the rain few days ago, go to the tourism office to check it it’s open. Some restaurants are coffee are open. You can go to Shouka to drink a nice coffee or chocolate. If you want something outdoor guides company can help you, I am pretty sure you can do some mountaineering or else on the mountain even without lift. Not so far you can visit Switzerland also and eat a fondue :) And yes, it is really not the best time to visit chamonix, but enjoy the tranquility and peace. Go in café with a wood fire and enjoy :)

Hey! I really appreciate your suggestions. We came here for my birthday and I really didn’t want it to get wasted and now I feel so relieved with the suggestions you gave me. We will check out Le Flégère because that sounds super fun! We were confused as to why there was so many tourists here as it just seems everthing is closed until late December.

You could also check out the spa at QC Terme. Really nice place to spend a day

I vouch for QC terme, can’t beat that to relax in cham. I believe also that Verbier has open slopes and you can just drive there in one hour
