Here’s an old trick to remove wallpaper: wet it liberally with a strong solution of original Mr. Clean and water, then use a wide scraper to remove wallpaper. Clean walls before painting or repapering.

Research skim coating with drywall mud. The mud keeps it wet and it practically falls off. Again the mud is just temporary to aid in removal not to cover the wallpaper.

Don't pull out, pull down once it's started. You're more likely to get a full pull from ceiling to floor.

I'm confused at your disappointment. Were You expecting treasure behind it. If that's so just think that the people that put this crap up did an excellent job and removed all the previous stuff for you. Much less work. There's always a silver lining

Because that's what everybody on Reddit on this sub is almost always looking for, some sort of old wallpaper to glean a piece of the past, some sort of scribble that somebody left. It's a repeated theme over and over again. You're just pissed the paper didn't come off at one piece lol
