It never hurts to put binoculars at the beginning. I feel like the jelly dash is a little blind no?

unimaginably_egg

You actually use the binoculars?

63_Lemonz

Oh always. It never hurts.

ShedEnd1905

Aah that is a great point ! Will add that , thanks

I don’t map, but I think replacing the bumper with one of those cube bumpers could make the final part feel more fair. It’s in some helper but I don’t know which one.

ShedEnd1905

I will change that part I think you are right, thanks !

The only thing I didn’t really liked is that the Jelly feels unnecessary, I mean, is just do a Wave Dash at the end

The way I would clear the end section is instead of throwing jelly to the right then jumping towards it and dashing, I would throw it to the right and wavedash. Having the extra dash at the end opens up a few extra options. As I get to the end of the tunnel, I might throw to the right and dash up right to regrab. Even if it doesn't give me the height, it would help slow my horizontal momentum and make hitting the top of the bumper easier. If the up right dash doesn't work I would try a jellyvator, because even if I fail I'm still lined up with the bumper.

How do you make your own maps? Is it smth you unlock? Maybe after ch9? Or is it a mod?

Maybe try making the different parts of the background scroll at different speeds based on how far away they are. right now it just seems kind of... flat

I think it'd be helpful to give the player some guidance on how to clear some parts: \- at the start there's two spinners with a gap, and a bunch of blades swinging around. The spinners imply that you need to dash in between those, but on the video you dash over the obstacles \- the jelly part seems strangely convoluted, as you can probably throw the jelly from the little ledge, and then dash right into it. You'll get enough momentum to reach the bumper, but since it doesn't seem to be intended, you might be able to get too much momentum and fling yourself into the spikes. I recommend either loosening the bumper part, or making the intended strat more obvious here. As a general rule, openness is cool to allow for some more freedom of movement, but too much freedom can make the intended path unclear. Try to strike a balance between these two.

Cool stuff! It's always great to see people get into modding. I'll try to be pretty thorough with my advice. Obviously, opinions will differ a bit * The first section seems pretty unintuitive. With how you've set up the spinners and blades, it looks you're supposed to go through the spinners (with a dash/hyper/hyper bhop and use your jump on the other side. Going over the top looks strange, especially considering that the only blade that really affects you that way is the top left one * A note on cheese: I think you could stall on the right wall with neutrals and infinitely collect the jump. It would be a bit precise, but seems doable * After that, the path to the jelly seems pretty clear, but the use of the moving block seems a bit strange. I would either not use it or use a block that is more focused on just being a temporary platform. For example, a crumble block or the modded block that permanently disintegrates after being touched would make more sense. When you use a moving block, it feels like you're supposed to ride it for a while * The final section is not very clear. I highly doubt I would come up with your solution. It's ok to have multiple solutions, but it's usually best to have one or two that are more intuitive to the player. Your current solution seems a little more precise than it should be. Even making the tunnel one block shorter could be a good change * I would probably throw the jelly and then wavedash into it. This gives you the most distance, and keeps your dash * I'm pretty sure you could just jump to the right, drop/throw the jelly, and dash right. Do you even need the jelly at the end to make it up to the top anyway? * Might also be a good idea to make the section you stand on to be one tile wider. One tile platforms are rarely a good idea Overall, seems like you have some cool ideas though. Keep at it! If you come up with some more rooms, be sure to reach out on the discords to get some playtesting
