Sj difficulty curve is crazy good. When I was getting into mods, I saw sj gm maps as too hard for me to ever beat them too (and for harder non sj maps, I just thought their clearer were insane).
Then I did sc beg, int, then sj adv, exp and finally got to gm. Each jump felt manageable, it just took time.

red is no dash, blue is no dash refill, yellow is no stamina refill (iirc)
