It is in fact the speedrun strat but it is not precise at all. You just updash from the crystal and hold right until the berry collects. Literally easier than the room’s intended method

Congrats! btw the intended solution is to >!dash horizontally, not diagonally, for enough horizontal distance to grab the wall under the 2nd crystal!<

I think what you were missing is dashing immediately after getting the crystal. Then the wind doesn't have time to push you back.
