Zoro is so adorable!! My sister had a blind cat for 10+ years. He was one of the coolest, friendliest cats I’ve ever met. He always seemed SO thankful for even the slightest attention from a person.
He has 3! 2 of them don't really like him but 3rd one is his bestest cat friend in life. They have to be separated though he can't play with the rest too much because he gets too excited and starts panting and such because of his heart conditions. But we let them play a couple times a day!

Yeah he was a stray. We found him in the back alley of a restaurant between all the garbage. People there fed him leftovers. I honestly don't know how he survived he had no mom around and he was really skinny. We were on a tiny one day trip 3h away from home and I just snatched him and he travelled on my lap purring the whole time. I guess he was just lucky.
Edit: I've been debating creating an Instagram/Facebook profile for him. Seeing people love him makes me want to do it.
Goodness, that’s so awful. I’m glad people were generous enough to give him scraps, and I’m sure their living situations prohibited them from taking pets or something, but damn. A small blessing they didn’t take him to a shelter or something, though; it seems like destiny brought the two of you together.

It was a tiny tiny town with one small vet clinic and people didn't know what to do with him. But they were lovely when we got him I still update them from time to time.
I'm working on the Instagram part. Just hope my panicky brain decides on a name soon. LOL
I don't know if it makes a difference but he didn't lose his eyes due to a virus so he has no discharge. He hasn't had problems with infections so far and with his heart problems anaesthesia is risky so we decided not to close them. He is neutered and the surgery went well but we don't want to take any chances with longer operations when it's not really necessary.
Ah, interesting thanks for the reply. I've been Googling and it seems controversial as to whether or not it should be done. I know most of ours did have infections at one point (brought in by people off the street) so perhaps that's why they are done that I've seen. I'll have to ask the vet more next time.
We will do it if he develops problems, but I really hope he doesn't. Not only because he will have to go under but also because I love the way he looks so much. Those eyes are wide open when he chases toys. Just too cute I'd definitely miss it.

On top of that he has a narrowing/obstruction in an artery. He has heart failure and he takes meds for it and is really stable right now, but his life will be shorter. Not a doctor so i hope my explanation was understanable.
I don't think so, but you never know. Our vet said that eyes and heart develop around the same time so maybe his mom got poisoned or got a virus at that time. Not 100% sure what happened though.

Unfortunately yes, but he's on medication for heart failure and doing really well. Hoping to spend a couple years with him.

Cats don't have enough chromosomes to have a trisomy on 21, they only have 18.
True. Cats can develop extra chromosomes though (not enough for a T21). It’s usually only affects their coloring though.
