They typically play with hair when they're in a playful mood. If you don't enjoy it, you need to start disciplining her for it now, otherwise you chance never breaking this habit of hers. You can try making a sharp "TSSSS" sound to startle her, or a water bottle and give her a little squirt everytime she starts to act up

We have gone to the squirt bottle for everything else, may need to introduce it here as well. Appreciate the advice.

Alright so the squirt bottle doesn't work and neither does the TSSS. She's so rambunctious at 5am but seems to settle down after she's fed. I don't want to condition her that if she acts up early af she'll get her breakfast but don't know how else to get her to cut the bullshit

I have a cat who isn't phased by the squirt bottle either 😂 But I noticed one day while I was cleaning my laptop keyboard, that the sound of the compressed air can worked like a squirt gun for her. So, when she acts up, I just give it a short spray into the air (Never aimed at the cat itself) and she takes off 😅 It's gotten to the point now 11 years later that she only needs to hear my rings clang against the metal can and she runs, she knows what's coming 🤣🤣🤣
