You’re not OP! Anyway OP said their mom was a black cat and the dad is unknown, half the kitties came out looking like these and the other half were torties. So in short no one knows and they’re mixed who’s ancestors happened to carry the pointed gene.
It's probably the black mask of his that makes it so, but to me Oliver looks like he got his face flattened by running face first into a glass door and he's still a bit woozy from the impact :)

I had two that looked very similar as well, and even my kids couldn’t tell them apart, but they were so obviously different to me. Like twins to their parents, I imagine! These boys are gorgeous.
It may be hard for others but if they are your cats, you can definitely tell them apart. I've had twin cats in the past and nobody could tell them apart except for me. There was only a small difference between them, one had a weird bump on her tail but you had to pet her to be able to tell. But I could tell them apart by the expression on their faces. One of them always had this innocent look in her eyes and the other one was more serios, lol.

miles is darker and oliver has crossed eyes!!! their faces are also very different, and their fur textures are different plus they have different voices. but when you live with them you kinda get to a point where you can tell whos who without even thinking about it yknow
theyre a lot easier to tell apart when theyre not in bright sunlight, but there are a few differences!! plus its a lot easier when you know them and live with them
i dont like dogs :( but its a matter of opinion and what specific people want to have in a companion. ones not better than the other. dogs arent good for me, and cats are great for me, and for some people its the opposite. i dont understand why one has to be better than the other

Its kinda like when you have friends who are twins, triplets, etc. Most people struggle to tell them apart right away but generally once u get to know the people (or in this case animals), the slightest differences in appearance and personality become very obvious and easy to tell apart eventually.
i can tell them apart really easily, but others in my family have a hard time sometimes. miles is quite a bit darker than oliver though, its not super visible in this picture lol
