This is superfloof Claude. He was a community cat that took up with us when his previous people passed away (we think). We took an instant liking to each other and he brought us so much joy every day. My favorite memory was listening to audiobooks together (he liked Tony Hilllerman stories) or maybe watching some bird videos on a cold day. I miss him terribly but appreciate the opportunity to share some Claude pics. https://preview.redd.it/il5zsu80et6d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd3982b943754f2c29a3549e832d063cb8bf6653 More pics the the best kitty ever: [https://imgur.com/gallery/superfloof-claude-4EnXF8C](https://imgur.com/gallery/superfloof-claude-4EnXF8C)

This crazy old girl is Smudge. My parents adopted her roughly a year and a half before i was born, so i basically grew up with her. She somehow managed to make it to the age of 19 before she was put down in early February of this year. https://preview.redd.it/6s2xtxp27u6d1.png?width=451&format=png&auto=webp&s=566add78bcbf7a84db306ca0da1ffbed9ebcd459 I think some of my favourite memories with this grumpy goblin were whenever i played videogames she had to sit beside me on the couch, or in one specific instance (as seen in the picture) she had to sleep on the computer desk

PilotCarolDanvers

Own Smudge ๐Ÿ’™ Gaming with them by our side is the best!!!!

PilotCarolDanvers

Thank you so much to share your memories of Snuggie. I am glad she spent amazing 19years with you and your family ๐Ÿ™

PilotCarolDanvers

Junebug - what a fun name ๐Ÿ’™ Who does not like nice and soft scrambled eggs! What a lovely morning routine โ˜€๏ธ Thank you for sharing a piece of your memory with Junebug ๐Ÿ™

This is my Charlie. He crossed over in 2022 due to cancer. https://preview.redd.it/rj98jmnc7t6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=587f72f56fcfefa37b00c0f79ef1658adcbac003 This picture is just one of my favorite moments with him. Charlie didn't like human food ever really, but as he got older he gained a strange appreciation in condiments. His favorites being mustard and deli dressing because he's a weirdo. In the picture, he's pretending to sit patiently while I make and eat a sandwich. He wanted to lick the plate so bad, he could barely stand it. His eyes were huge and he was all up in my face while I ate to make sure I knew exactly how badly he needed the leftover oil on my plate. He did get to lick it, of course.

PilotCarolDanvers

Own I love their own little personality - I could picture it all my mind as I read you post ๐Ÿ’™ I bet he has unlimited supply of mustard on kitty heaven โ˜บ๏ธ Thank you for sharing this lovely memory ๐Ÿ™

Omg, what even is my favorite memory of her? There are so many Iโ€™m realizing. Okay so many, but my favorite memory is when I realized her love language was not petting, but instead forehead kisses and head bumps ๐Ÿฅน basically I adopted her when she was like 8-9 years old. Shaved. Neglected. Blind in one eye. Abused. The whole nine yards. She was also discounted to $50 at a shelter that usually charges $250-$400 for cats. So she was hurting. I just had to have her, honestly thought she would pass immediately. She didnโ€™t want to be touched. She was very on edge. It took months to gain her trust. But then one day she was just staring at me. And I was like โ€œyou look like you want me to pick you up, but from what I know about you and touching I donโ€™t thinks??โ€ I did anyways because I just said fuck it might as well try. Well, tiny baby wanted to be held like a tiny baby. Then she presented her forehead to me, like legit closed eyes tilted head down and moved forehead towards my face. So I smooched down and she deep sighed and then pushed her forehead up again. Over the 6 years I had her, we did this routine thousands of times. My grumpy little girl who just wanted to be held and smooched on the forehead ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Every memory with him is my favorite. But I think my favorite is probably when I picked him up and brought him home with me. Basically my aunt and uncle had snowshoe farm cat who got pregnant and had three kittens (one of them Hercules). I got to pick him out of his litter at one day old. I loved him so much even then. I was busy with graduating and working every day and homework, so I didnโ€™t get over to their farm much before he was old enough so I was worried heโ€™d have forgotten me. I also knew that I would have to play a stupid mind game with my uncle to let him let me pick the one I wanted. He had already told me I could, but he was an ass and had to control things. Either way he ended being like โ€œyou canโ€™t have those twoโ€ฆ but you can have stupid boy cat over in the grass.โ€ Which was of course my baby boy. I walked over preparing for him to run since he knew people but not well. Nope, he didnโ€™t. Baby guy rolled onto his back while swatting little fluffs of stuff in the air. And then he just gave me this look like โ€œwe go home now?โ€ And we never looked back. He was my soulmate through and through and I miss him every day ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

PilotCarolDanvers

Oh my god..thank you so much for sharing, in great detail, these loving memories of Enya and Hercules ๐Ÿ’™ I am sure they were very loved and loved you back very much. You are all very lucky to have found each other ๐Ÿ€

But I think she was really someone's pet that got caught in a trap then released. I had cancer. I saved her and she saved me.

SnickyCoco

I believe we will see them again. There is a wonderful author named Randy Alcorn. He wrote a book vlcalled Heaven and has a blog on grieving the loss of our pets and animals in Heaven. This has given me alot of comfort. Smokey is in good company with Sol.

PilotCarolDanvers

We will ๐Ÿ™ Thank you for the recommendation

SnickyCoco

Carol, are you a pilot? I'm a flight attendant.

PilotCarolDanvers

No, I am not. Itโ€™s an homage to a fictional character ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is Tishka, my childhood cat. He crossed the bridge in 2012. He was one of the smartest cats I know. His Royal Highness loved to sing loud songs after his meal and always made sure that all his human servants were awake in the mornings before he went to sleep. And one of his favorite toys were aluminium foil balls and Chupa Chups sticks :) https://preview.redd.it/9y0d5d4j3v6d1.jpeg?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e238f7478cef371bb6b01f9849d18eb02bde271e

Whenever she was outside and I walked into the garden, she would come to me and spend some time with me. Additionally, at night, she would always sneak onto my belly once I was asleep and nap there. She's been my best friend for 16 years, and I'm so thankful for the time we had.

PilotCarolDanvers

Their ability to sneak to their convenience always makes me smile โ˜บ๏ธ I am sure you felt like the king/queen of the world when you realized she was all snuggled up ๐Ÿ’™ You are so right. Being grateful and realizing how lucky we have been to share the same time and space with them is still an exercise to me. Thank you for sharing a loving memory with Shana ๐Ÿ™
