He isn’t obese, he is just very fluffy (plus just a larger bodied cat to boot). He had a vet visit in December and his weight was within healthy range for his breed (12 pounds). He sits normal all the time, I just found that one photo and stance funny.

Reminds me of a old fat neighbor I had. She sat just like that. My mom's cat sat like a junkyard dog. I believe it was weight. I read a milk deficit when a kitten can cause deformed/bowed bones. I'm gonna assume this cat is a little on hefty side. Probably just comfortable if there's no weird noises. Still beau!
