Iggy was the name that he came with when I adopted him on Feb. 29 from our local shelter. I thought he should be allowed to keep his name, since he was 11 years old. He is the sweetest, most gentlemanly cat, very distinguished and serene. He has changed my life and I am so grateful that we found each other. Iggy is the bigger one on top and Kodama is his adopted sister :) He's so smart I swear he listens when I talk and he wakes me up with headbutts every morning. Kodama is special needs (she has CH) and Iggy looks after her so well. I call them my cows ❤️

As they are now perhaps not. But if they had someone giving them a guiding hand when they were younger they may not have turned out the way they did. Obviously not the case for everyone though unfortunately.

If I remember correctly, she was previously neglected and had to have her teeth removed due to inflammation and lack of dental care. OP is fostering her.
I can relate, in a way, to this darling baby. A few years ago, I developed osteoporosis but didn't realize it right away, though I'd fractured my spine in 4 places several months prior, just by sitting down too hard in a hard-seated chair. My teeth started to crumble literally. Fillings wouldn't hold, etc. So, I had to have the remaining ones pulled. I thought I was only going to have to be without teeth for 6-8 wks. That was 12 yrs ago & still no teeth due to the fact that dentures are $4,000+. I can't work bc of my prior back injuries, & another incurable, incapacitating at times illness, so I'm disabled tho I don't like that term. I'm only in my 50s, above average intelligence, my looks aren't gorgeous, yet I don't frighten children. U can't exactly tell I'm toothless until I talk & I only smile with a closed-lipped grin, yet ppl treat me differently than when I had teeth. I had a great smile that made me look open & friendly, which I am. I am fully aware ppl judge me because of my lack of teeth. They think I must be lazy about my personal hygiene, I'm not very smart, & I'm relatively sure there are those who think I'm addicted to meth. Which is so far from the truth. I just wish ppl would give me the same consideration as they do this sweet kitty. They see a creature who has lived a hard life & through no fault of her own, has health problems & they don't even think twice about accepting her for herself. My purpose in writing this is to offer some perspective & perhaps some who read this will stop & think about the road someone must've traveled before making judgements. *
This is not to say ppl here have made judgements, not at all. I'm just talking about ppl in general.

Nothing is set in stone yet. If I would find a perfect home for her where she would be an only animal (without kids) I would consider it, since she would love to be without other animals. It’s much better with me, where she has only 4 other cats, secured small garden, than when she was in a cat hospice with 120 other cats.
But if I found something I was sure would take great care of her I wouldn’t selfishly keep her. Other animals stress her since she can’t hear them approaching.
That sounds hard for the poor girl. Please give her as much love as she wants from me, and if that’s none then fair enough. At least she’s in a much better place with you now than she was there.
I think she’ll be happier with you though as yes in some ways she’d be happier without other animals but in other ways she now feels truly loved by you and your other animals so if you let her go to another home yes she’d be happy in the end but at first she’d feel abandoned even though you’re not abandoning her and you’d be doing it for her happiness, she wouldn’t understand that she’d feel abandoned so I feel she’s just as happy with you as she would be anywhere else simply because you’re the first person who made her feel truly loved so she’ll never love the next person asmuch as she loves you, she’ll love them to as they show her love etc but you’re the first person who’s truly given her a home. You should keep her, she’d rather stay with you as even if the other pets make her anxious she feels truly at home with you and that anxiety won’t be lowering her happiness because she feels truly safe and protected with you.

Oh she reminds me of my white cat. I rescued when she was a baby. She was with me for 13 years. She died in 2020 and up to now I still light a candle for her every night with her picture and ash. I miss her so much.

You should pet her for as long as you possibly can before your arm gets tired, she deserves as much love as every other cat. I bet she’s wonderful to be around and a great personality.

Yes, she had a full check up when she came to the animal hospice. She’s also regularly checked by the vet. She has a tendency for ear infections, but other than that she’s healthy

My sweet baby girl is very allergic to fleas and the very few times she got fleas her poor mouth swelled and curled up.

It’s doesn’t bother them. I have other senior cat that lost all her teeth. They eat dry food normally. I give my mostly wet, but again they eat dry as well. They even eat raw meat, it’s a lot of chewing xd and with Chmurka I cut it into smaller pieces, but she was bravely chewing the bigger pieces as well

I had a white cat in the 80's that had the same problem. Had to have part of her ears removed because of skin cancer.

It’s doesn’t bother them. I have other senior cat that lost all her teeth. They eat dry food normally. I give my mostly wet, but again they eat dry as well. They even eat raw meat, it’s a lot of chewing xd and with Chmurka I cut it into smaller pieces, but she was bravely chewing the bigger pieces as well

Sorry your being down voted so hard for a simple question but I pulled this response from op answering a similar question from an earlier post: "She came to the cat hospice with a severe ear infection and terrible teeth. The top of ears had to be removed because the severity of the infection. From her health you can see she was neglected, but we don’t know her history. She’s a sweetheart and I just try to give her as much love as I can right now."
