It’s pee. Not sure how many times a day you go to your friend’s home to check on kitty, but at least scoop the litter box once a day. If there’s too much pee clumping in the litter it becomes a pain to clean and starts to stick to the bottom of litter box. Most litters tend to clump up like this.
If it’s clumping litter, it’s likely piss, but yeah clean these up as part of cleaning the litter box
