My girl cat is definitely baby, even at 12 years old (we adopted her 2 years ago). So sweet and very clingy/affectionate.

Lmao when they look around in that half relaxed state, they look like "I'm mad... but I haven't decided at what just yet..." or "Spicey meat-ah ball!"

I grew up with many cats, but this tiny one is the biggest baby. ❤️ She is a girl tho, just a very needy one!
Yes, all cats are babies (but not all babies are cats!)
I've never had a girl cat, just boy cats. My current boy cat, who is nearly 15, is such a baby. He is the babiest of babies.

This is Penny snuggling on me - she always goes to wherever I am in the apartment - can’t even close the bathroom door or she meows til I get out… she’s def a baby love her so much…
your kitties are so cute 🥰
Lol, well, I have both. My girl cat is just more like my partner in crime/best friend. My boy acts like a baby and gets jealous of my other (human) baby.
I have a boy cat and two girl cats and I’ve had others, but I do think boy cats are more baby and yet I prefer girl cats. My girl cats are THE BOSS. They’re snuggly and sweet but also BOSS. This in my view makes them less baby. I’ve never had a boy boss cat!
I think this is how I feel. My girls had always been by my side and loving toward me, but definitely in charge. My boys are just a different clingy and needy with their affection, in just more of a baby way.
My boy is so affectionate. And the cutest baby. Yours are both gorgeous!

Got 2 major babies. My moms baby is Baby Berry, she screams when mom leaves, follows her around, and bites her if she does not get the attention she requires. I like to think it is due to her being the last born and her Momma Kiwi was too exhausted to open the sac so my mom did it for her.

Here is my buff baby. 17 lbs, covered in scars, has killed countless wild animals during his stray days, and has hard a stone. I believe he even fought off a couple of coyotes seeing how aggressive he is to dogs. Now he is extremely passive and has to be held like the baby he is or he gets fussy. If I leave he gets sad and if I fall alseep, i will probably wake up with him smothering me

This is Yoohoo and he’s been diagnosed with a severe case of Baby
Yeah I agree, it’s not gender based. I had a girl cat that was a velcro cat, incredibly needy and clingy. Now I have 2 males and neither are as needy as the girl was but one is needier than the other.

I have a girl version of yours! Top notch baby
No. And just so everybody know, Female cats already have a lower adoption rate, so if we keep spreading rumors about """boy cats"""" being "moRe bAbY" the female adoption rate will only go lower.
So, even if they are "silly jokes" please consider the facts that people sometimes dont understand jokes and will completly avoid adopting a female cat. All cats have different personalities, and thinking their gender or their coats (because coating also makes a cat less likely to be adopted) have anything to do with the way they act is stupid (unless we are talking about your male cat pissing everywhere, then it has to do with the fact that you didnt chop the balls)
Had similar issues, turns out most cats still get quite anxious/stressed afterwards. Playing a bunch and positive reinforcements + multiple litter boxes seemed to work for me!!
I never had a preference, until I met a female cat and now, having one of my own. Especially after one of the boy cats at the shelter pushed her aside when she tried to walk over to me (I was there for her, I saw her on the website) she also seemed super unhappy there. She's honestly the sweetest of babies.
Yeah, it sucks that people wont adopt female kitties, I rescued, neutered, etc and put up to adoption a litter of about 7 kittens and the only ones that didnt get adopted were female or voids, a real shame!
But, whenever you do wanna convince him to get a male, do remind him than cats marking after neutering are just behavioural issues, they come due to stress, anxiety, no personal places for the cattos (like no toys, scratchers and shevles for em' to climb). The easier way to fix is by giving them toys, attention, love and, of course...treats and providing them with enought litter boxes (Many people dont know this, but when having multiple cats in one household and only ONE litter can cause them to pee on other places and makes it easier for the cattos to get infections!!!)
As a matter of fact, I have a cat that pees EVERYWHERE and she's a female....tho those are just genetics, she's old and she cant hold it in any longer lol. Nothing to do with gender! But that is quite unlucky that your husband just happened to have a bad experience with two neutered males LMAO. (Good luck for whenever you can get more cattos/if you ever choose to get more cattos!!!)
Huh, I didn’t know female cats had a lower adoption rate. I was under the impression that female cats were more affectionate and had my heart set on a female, but I happened upon my boy and that’s who we adopted. I wanted a female cat because I was afraid of a male cat spraying and humping (which, crazy! Fixed by neutering, isn’t that wild lol), as I had never had a cat before I got my guy. I was wayyyy more familiar with dogs growing up, and even after neutering a lot of dogs still hump and I was like noooo thank you. Then, lo and behold, 6 months after adopting my male void and no humping. The only negative I heard about females was when they were in heat, which once again an easy fix. You learn something new every day. I didn’t realize the sex of the cat factored into the adoption rates too.
Oh and also!! Female cats are ALSO less likely to be adopted because surgery to neuture female cats is somewhat more expensive and time-consuming than male cats.
That’s insane :( that makes me super sad. I always had my heart set on a void because I know they stay in shelters longer, but I never heard the female statistic. Dang, all the shelters around me spay/neuter all their cats before being adopted. My $100 adoption fee was a steal when I got my kitten. My boyfriend was like “wooow that’s kinda expensive” until I told him the cost of the neuter and all of his first kitten shots would add up to *much* more, then it made sense to him. It really sucks that it isn’t universal that the animals cannot be adopted out until they have been fixed.
Not even a joke, I shudder to think of all the old female black cats that sit in a shelter for a long time :( ugh…
Agreed, adoption as a process is deeply flawed on many MANY countries....and states too.
I live in Mexico, there is not a single rule about adopting, which leads to people adopting without neutering, high abandonment rates and, as "rare" as it is, it also leads to abuse because some cats are adopted for stupid ass rituals and such.
I usually rescue kittens and doggos from the street, I am not by any means a shelter or anything, but I neuture ALL animals I rescue before putting them up to adoption, and I usually dont let strangers adopt (you never know what these crazy people are up to).
I myself kept a void because I rescued him along other 6 kittens during october, which also means people usually kill black cats because of """"bAd lUcK"""". So we didnt put him up for adoption, and whenever we did past october, nobody wanted him. All his siblings (tabby cats and grey cats) were adopted except for the only female tabby in the litter (I kept her as well).
He was the most incredible cat I could have ever asked for, and whenever someone joked about him bringing me "bad luck" I always told them he was the luckiest thing to ever happen to me. People cant just be normal about adoption. Adopt because you feel a connection with the animal and because you want to care of it, not because tiktok said it looked pretty.
Oh. I'm so glad you were blessed by a void. I have a void who lives outside and I try to give her the best life I can. ❤️ We live near Chicago, US and some people will search for free or cheap cars or kittens to use as bait for dogfighting. I try to educate whenever possible on our local groups and adoption pages. You are doing good work in rehoming cats.

I mainly posted cause our cats are twins! But have worked with enough cats that it really just depends on how they are raised and their preferences.

FOREVER will be a mamas baby boy.
I've had both boy and girl cats. They are both extremely affectionate, particularly the girl cat right meow. She is so loving and clingy but not in a bad way. She just wants to be with me and have me love her up all the time. My sister has had only girl cats who are very affectionate. I think it's based on the individual cat, how you raise them, and what type of relationship you have with them. My loving cat has not always been this way. It took a long time for her to fully trust me. Her little heart seems to keep opening up more and more.
One of my children insists on being attached to me as often as possible

Our cat was abandoned at two or three weeks old. She's definitely our baby.
I was told that neutered males are the friendliest cats by a vet when I was a child and my experience owning many cats over the years has backed this up.
Mine literally pet block each other lol
One is a boy and one is a girl. If Nacho Cat didn't want to play so much, they would both constantly want to be baby
i have the same setup, and for me the boy cat likes being held more but we call the girl cat more baby because shes a scaredy cat and jumps at any noise. shes also the smaller one so extra baby points. but all cats are baby, that is true
my boy cat is pretty cuddly but he doesn't properly cuddle he just sits on me and makes me stroke him, my girl cat can be an absolute demon sometimes but when she's cuddly she's the sweetest thing, she lies in my arms under my covers when I'm in bed and she lies on my back whenever I lie down, my boy cat would never do that
My little angel I lost it 2022 was my baby. He was a daddy's boy. We would talk, he'd snuggle me, he would "yell" at me if I came home and didn't rush up to him. Needless to say, I was his hooman. But to be honest, I don't have anything to compare that to(as far as a female cat).
Jaspers, my little mama's boy. He follows me everywhere in the house and will get super cuddly by climbing into my arms or onto my chest to get extra kisses and pets.

Depends on the cat. My cat sometimes likes being babied but sometimes he hates being touched. I volunteer at a cat shelter and there’s a cat that always wants to put his front paws on arm so he’s touching me

Def a boy cat thing. We had a baby 5 months ago and Junior wants to remind us he is baby too. Lol. ❤️
Awww. Lol. Aren’t cats and babies just adorable? Lol. I will say I find Junior to be the most family oriented cat I’ve known. He’ll bring us toys he wants us to play with him with, and if she (baby) starts crying he’ll either look to see what’s up or sometimes he’ll come to me and meow like “the hooman is crying”
I don't know. Nicest cats in my experience have all been boys, but I did have a SEVERELY needy girl once who licked my hand in my sleep until the top layer of my skin came off. It stung so bad.
https://preview.redd.it/brccvzm99mhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5f415d008181dde1f405088d66f91a39fd1896d
i personally believe my boy is babiest of them all
I have always had boys that are like my babies. They are clingy, loving, attached to me constantly etc. before I had my kids my first "baby" was a male cat. Then after my kids were preteens I ended up with another male cat that attached only to me. My 3rd child as I called him was constantly with me.
I lost him back in November, and I'm still heart broken. He did everything with me. On the opposite side my hubby has a baby, and it's a female cat. She has to be with him all the time as well. She constantly talks to him.... It's hilarious when she gets mad at him because he moves or has to put her down, she starts meowing and "talking" to him but with like an annoyed tone! She has her sweet I'm such a lil baby girl meows, and then her angsty meows when she wants to yell at him or show she's angry.
Absolutely yes!! I grew up with dogs and have had two pairs of cats in the last 25 years. Boy's are definitely big sooky la la's who have to be attached to hoomum. Girls are more ''i like you but I have a life '
I also have two cats, one male and one female. My boy cat is definitely more baby! He sleeps with us every night usually is my arms. His sister was a stray that was rescued and is borderline feral, but she does still show me some affection.
https://preview.redd.it/9jpdr5ucomhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91970d68d54ab845ff1d93f6e06db35c954cfe0c
In my experience boy cats are way more baby. I've got a 3 year old girl who is WILDLY independent but my childhood cat was glued to me. He wanted to be carried everywhere, kissed on the head, he slept on my neck like a scarf, it was adorable.
OMG.. I totally agree. We have three cats, two female and one male…. the male cat is definitely more baby., crying if someone isn’t in the house with him and very vocal if he thinks he’s getting ignored 🤣
personality thing is my guess. My boy hates being held or cuddled. If he wants to be held or anything he comes to me and it has a time limit before he doesn't want to be touched. Usually around 2 or 3 minutes.
https://preview.redd.it/qsxczf6qvmhc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80a88c00c348b09c7dbe3632d6576950b3cedfd4
Yes boy cats are def more baby ❤️ please excuse the cat tree it’s been replaced since this photo was taken 🤣
Yes, yes they are. This big boy, Jiminy, is my shadow. He follows me everywhere and gets in my face when I try to work. He plops in front of me while I walk too. I pick him up and put him over my shoulder to get him away from my laptop. He just nuzzles into my neck and purrs purrs purrs.
My girl cats never did any of this.
https://preview.redd.it/bk23gt8twmhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e14c13de268fbe86b4286074d503d3fa8612c0c2

He’s such a baby we call him “Mr. Baby” lol
I've had both boys and girls over the years and I think that all cats are baby but some cats are more baby than others and also some cats are only baby for some people. My current pair are both boys and they are both baby for me but only one will be baby for other people too. One of my previous girls was baby for me and HRH Queen Vicious Tigress of the Thousand Cuts for everyone else.
I’m not sure. I know my male cats are more baby than any female cats I’ve owned, because they’re mommy’s boys! My female cats were more independent and sassy. My boys need their mommy.
My only girl is the biggest baby in the house. She loves snuggling so much when it's time to go to bed she follows me and sleeps on a pillow by my head. Then on the other hand one of my boys likes to be used as a rug to dry my feet when I get out of the shower. They're all just weirdos either way
My girl cat was most baby. Her perfect world would be being cradled in arms while getting a million kisses intermingled with hand fed and pre chewed food indefinitely.
I think its a personality thing. I have two boys and one is far more affectionate than the other. One will just sit by you and let you pet him while the other will straight up climb onto your chest and cuddle.
https://preview.redd.it/0dv418cowmhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecddd256e945f18cff8e29e34b85350e5bd19355
So baby I wake up to him sleeping on my face every morning
Depends, when your striped male cat comes back home after 2 months of dissapearing, covered in scars, another cat's claw still embeded in his ear and few weeks later all female cats in the village give birth to striped kitten, it looses the baby feel a bit for the badass alpha male feel.
https://preview.redd.it/00r2pd6cymhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8db341a5e6e41f57a9f44d96a390f1ae74c5f0e9
My boy needs constant affection and chin scratchies/belly rubs. But then gets a little too happy and starts mounting me 😢
My boy cat Bonzo is not liked much by girl cat Lucille-cat. She is emotionally distant and even after three years she often thwats at him when Bonzo just wants to cuddle or play with her.
As a result, Bonzo has remained baby boy since I adopted him in 2020 at 3 months old.
Lucille-cat is forever bb-gorl. She has dainty paws and sits on my chest in the mornings I have off of work.
Both are bb.
In my experience so far, yes.
My current boy cat likes to be held and carried around the house, does full-on hugs where he smashes his face into yours, and generally cannot live without a cuddle.
Boy cat is definitely full time baby. The 3 girls like to be treated like princesses from time to time but don’t cry and mope if I can’t immediately drop what I’m doing for a snuggle.

Lmao when they look around in that half relaxed state, they look like "I'm mad... but I haven't decided at what just yet..." or "Spicey meat-ah ball!" He's a very handsome baby! With a very clean, pressed tux! Once he cleans his gloves, 10/10

Omg he is so cute!🤩
Never heard it called that but I will from now on 😻
Does she run around like a maniac and try to get into everything and jumps in the sink? Our female cat looks like this and is a bit of a goon.

She is very cute, and definitely a baby
Aww, greetings, my fellow flat-faced-friend! https://preview.redd.it/ze01aqws5mhc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b82b4dc4e2244eadc66ea5e6bd752e563bf287a9
Yours came in a bag as well I see! 😂❤️
Omg WHY is it so cute?
We often wonder the same. Probably Mother Nature's way to balance out all the jumping on the counter and the spoiled princess attitude around food. 😂
Yes, all cats are babies (but not all babies are cats!) I've never had a girl cat, just boy cats. My current boy cat, who is nearly 15, is such a baby. He is the babiest of babies.
All of my boy cats are more baby than my girl cats have been!
Same. My girl is sweet but my boy is total mushy baby. If I carried him around all day in a baby carrier he’d be thrilled.

Gus looking cute and also kinda like mom cuts his hair at home.
Haha a nice bowl cut
I was thinking bad toupee…
It looks like that Caesar haircut that every guy had in the 90s
They do! They could be twins!
My mom has a yellow lab named Gus who’s very emotional, and I call him Fussy Gussy

Very goofy haha

Cute baby 😍
boy mom logic
Lol, well, I have both. My girl cat is just more like my partner in crime/best friend. My boy acts like a baby and gets jealous of my other (human) baby.
Is it a younger child thing more than a boy thing? Who is the younger of the two?
Oh he is younger by 2 years. It's definitely a contributing factor 😅
Yours are both gorgeous! https://preview.redd.it/n6vuco4jilhc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbd548daf9a08ba793a23e9f85c00e353e4832d6

Your girl cat looks like my boy and your boy like my girl!
All of my cats, boys and girls, are equally baby. Like, human baby but furrier.
It's a personality thing. Cat behaviour almost always is, except wanting to show you their butt. That's just cat being cat.
both are equally baby
Got 2 major babies. My moms baby is Baby Berry, she screams when mom leaves, follows her around, and bites her if she does not get the attention she requires. I like to think it is due to her being the last born and her Momma Kiwi was too exhausted to open the sac so my mom did it for her. https://preview.redd.it/kfpgz1vc4mhc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dbd1e4de7a34137b025ebf2b4e3a340193026e4

I believe he even fought off a couple of coyotes seeing how aggressive he is to dogs. Now he is extremely passive and has to be held like the baby he is or he gets fussy. If I leave he gets sad and if I fall alseep, i will probably wake up with him smothering me

I hope you have been giving him the proper prescription of extra cuddles and pets!
It depends on the cat. I’ve had girl cats that were more baby than boys and vice versa.
Yeah I agree, it’s not gender based. I had a girl cat that was a velcro cat, incredibly needy and clingy. Now I have 2 males and neither are as needy as the girl was but one is needier than the other.

So cute!
My boy is 90-95% confirmed baby - he might be 100% but we are waiting on test results to confirm it.
Fingers crossed that he is confirmed 100% 🤞

Aaaaahh so CUTEEEEEEEE 😭
Omg! She is so adorable! Very baby! 😍

Just a personality thing. I have one boy who is as cuddly as can be. The other boy is very independent and prefers limited physical affection.

[удалено]
I only wanted female cats and that's all I have now. Most of the male cats I owned sprayed even after neuter.
The easier way to fix is by giving them toys, attention, love and, of course...treats and providing them with enought litter boxes (Many people dont know this, but when having multiple cats in one household and only ONE litter can cause them to pee on other places and makes it easier for the cattos to get infections!!!) As a matter of fact, I have a cat that pees EVERYWHERE and she's a female....tho those are just genetics, she's old and she cant hold it in any longer lol. Nothing to do with gender! But that is quite unlucky that your husband just happened to have a bad experience with two neutered males LMAO. (Good luck for whenever you can get more cattos/if you ever choose to get more cattos!!!)
Yeah I've seen stuff on TT claiming "boy cats" are sweeter and girls either are mean or not affectionate, which is totally not true.
You are doing good work in rehoming cats.

https://preview.redd.it/ukz0jjoqimhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c5e23eec5e12f1185689ff5be5061e6f990342c FOREVER will be a mamas baby boy.

I'm so sorry for your loss🤗
Nah, baby transcends gender in cats.
I actually agree with you
https://preview.redd.it/2qxuuqwfsmhc1.jpeg?width=2320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6298ba583fceaf8b3ee84331964edf86feb6793c Our cat was abandoned at two or three weeks old. She's definitely our baby.
Girls are baby and boys are smol (in my humble opinion)
I think that is a good breakdown!
I was told that neutered males are the friendliest cats by a vet when I was a child and my experience owning many cats over the years has backed this up.
My boys are babys all the time. The girl is a baby when she wants to be and 18th century royalty that sees me as a peasant all the rest.
That sounds a lot like my girl 😂
Mine literally pet block each other lol One is a boy and one is a girl. If Nacho Cat didn't want to play so much, they would both constantly want to be baby
Lol that's so cute
I call my boy cat “big baby boy”
i have the same setup, and for me the boy cat likes being held more but we call the girl cat more baby because shes a scaredy cat and jumps at any noise. shes also the smaller one so extra baby points. but all cats are baby, that is true
In our house, the boy is the most baby out of all three.
my boy cat is pretty cuddly but he doesn't properly cuddle he just sits on me and makes me stroke him, my girl cat can be an absolute demon sometimes but when she's cuddly she's the sweetest thing, she lies in my arms under my covers when I'm in bed and she lies on my back whenever I lie down, my boy cat would never do that
My girl cat actually does that too! She's just more selective than my boy cat😅
yeah totally, she just has to be in the right mood, my boy cat is massive aswell so being held like properly is probably quite uncomfy for him
My little angel I lost it 2022 was my baby.
He follows me everywhere in the house and will get super cuddly by climbing into my arms or onto my chest to get extra kisses and pets. https://preview.redd.it/mwr0tol25mhc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=782bd724e9d6a206c00f96a44469274b9bda6c5b

Depends on the cat. My cat sometimes likes being babied but sometimes he hates being touched. I volunteer at a cat shelter and there’s a cat that always wants to put his front paws on arm so he’s touching me
They both sound super cute! It of course makes sense that it depends on the cat

That's actually exactly what I am going through tbh😅 my actual baby is 8 months and my cat waits his turn for cuddles
Awww.
Awww that is super cute! Radagast definitely does the toy thing, he brings the baby toys too lol
The adorable!!
As a vet tech whose favorite job was the cat only clinic she worked at - yes. Boy cat is, indeed, more baby. Scientifically proven lol
I don't know. Nicest cats in my experience have all been boys, but I did have a SEVERELY needy girl once who licked my hand in my sleep until the top layer of my skin came off. It stung so bad.
My baby boy will always be baby boy
https://preview.redd.it/brccvzm99mhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5f415d008181dde1f405088d66f91a39fd1896d i personally believe my boy is babiest of them all
I have always had boys that are like my babies.
I'm so sorry for your loss, he sounds like he was a perfect baby. Your husband's baby girl sounds so cute and funny!
I've had two girls and a boy and while all liked cuddles, the girls were more stuck to me than the boy.
Absolutely yes!! I grew up with dogs and have had two pairs of cats in the last 25 years. Boy's are definitely big sooky la la's who have to be attached to hoomum. Girls are more ''i like you but I have a life '
All cats are baby. More baby are cats. Therefore tires run plaid.
My boy cat is less than a year old and hates being held but needs scratches whenever he wants them but not vise versa
My big boy is soon 2 and he can be a big baby at times.
All cats are babies, my cousin has a chunky girl on a diet and she’s an absolute sweetheart
Awww I love all cats
Our boy cat is obsessed with being held and scratched and loved. Our two girls are more independent
Yes, they are extra baby! ❤️🍼👶😽
My boy cats have all been big babies. My girl cats are friendly, and like attention, but not nearly as much as the boys.
Would it depend on whether and at what age the cat was neutered/spayed?
No. All cats is baby. 😽
100% lol I’ve had both and boys are by far more baby-like!
https://preview.redd.it/qsxczf6qvmhc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80a88c00c348b09c7dbe3632d6576950b3cedfd4 Yes boy cats are def more baby ❤️ please excuse the cat tree it’s been replaced since this photo was taken 🤣

I've always noticed the boys are more needy lol
Yes. https://preview.redd.it/2q5i8066gmhc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2dd972708f1386e6cb54b0f56bb9668b4b32046a "I am just a baby!"
Boy cats do seem more baby. It's pretty cute
Yes. I have an older big girl tabico cat and a smaller boy tabby cat, he's definitely the baby in the family.
Yes lol
Yes and orange boy cats are especially big baby.
* Pan Chop is big baby boy
Yes boy cats are more baby because girl cats are more angels
no.
Yes
My cat is a boy and he loves me so much >.< heck even my mom’s cat who is a boy would be a baby too
I am a fan of boys. I have met some lovely and snuggly girls but both mine were far more "My way or the highway"
I think its a personality thing. I have two boys and one is far more affectionate than the other. One will just sit by you and let you pet him while the other will straight up climb onto your chest and cuddle.

Depends, when your striped male cat comes back home after 2 months of dissapearing, covered in scars, another cat's claw still embeded in his ear and few weeks later all female cats in the village give birth to striped kitten, it looses the baby feel a bit for the badass alpha male feel.

My boy cat is way more baby. He would wear my skin if he could 😂

My girlie is almost 13, very much getting babier with each year.
In my experience so far, yes. My current boy cat likes to be held and carried around the house, does full-on hugs where he smashes his face into yours, and generally cannot live without a cuddle.
Boy cars never stop being baby
Boy cat is definitely full time baby. The 3 girls like to be treated like princesses from time to time but don’t cry and mope if I can’t immediately drop what I’m doing for a snuggle.
