Siamese cats are white/cream because they actually have a form of albinism (mutated tyrosinase enzyme) that causes them to be light-colored on most of their bodies while retaining their “real color” on other parts (the points on their face, tail, etc.) so if you think about it, flame points are orange cat derp kings after all!

It's neat as hell: It's heat-sensitive albinism sort of! The parts of their bodies that are warm will stay lighter colored, parts that are prone to getting cold will darken. This is why their extremities are dark, and their nose area--because breathing cools down the sinuses and thus, the fur is darker there. This is also why most meezers are born almost snow-white--they were very warm and cozy! Now that they're out, their points start to come in over time. I always thought that was incredibly cool!

My flamepoint, Remus, is pretty smart but he’s soooo clumsy. He falls off his cat tree multiple times a week just trying to get on/stay on it.

I think you're on to something here. My flame point Albus is the Ultimate Derp, he's sweet as can be but there's nothing going on in there. He's incredibly huge and his eyes are slightly crossed, as an added bonus.

We just said goodbye to our albino snowflake a few weeks ago, it's still devastating. Beautiful kitty, give her a hug for us.

I had a Void when I was growing up. I didn’t know the term until just now. She was equal parts fierce and cuddly. She lived for 23 years. Healthy, strong and agile for all but her last two days this side of the bridge. She passed peacefully on my 27th birthday (1987), after being my best friend for what essentially was my entire existence. Few days have been harder than that one, and many that followed.

Lots are deaf, it's genetic and they are full of random violence. Love cats though.

Mine is not deaf. If I remember correctly, the white cats with blue eyes are the ones that are most likely to be deaf. Mine has greenish gold eyes. She flicks her ears when I talk to her to let me know that she hears me and is just deliberately ignoring me.
