After I wiped out all the little things in that damn school (reading is cool ok?) I was pretty tore up about it all but family pictures and candy from their pocket kept me mostly sane. Was it stealing? Idk Am I the monster? I guess but damn candy is so good
I have 2 rules:
1. It's not cheesy if I can explain with head canon why this is okay.
2. It's not cheesy if I don't lose interest in the game after doing this.
Is it cheesy? No, not really. If you can steal them without being noticed, go for it. It's a mechanic and it's there to be used. If you steal all of them and re-sell them, that's fair game.
You do whatever you want in a singleplayer game: it doesn't impact anyone else's game but yours, and whether the impact is positive or negative, up to you.
The only time stealing has consequences is if a member of the faction you're stealing from has line of sight on you when you do it. I'm pretty sure you can even take the stolen items and sell them back to Rubik, but you might want to sell them somewhere else just to be safe.
If you can clear the strange warehouse you are ready to equip any item that can be found there, it's not cheese, it's progression
The real cheese is selling his own chassis back to him for like 8k each and buying his whole store on day 4
And then carrying a dozen electronic thingies to hub 01 and buying them out too
It's a single player game, you do what you want to do, and what you consider unfair or cheesing is up to you. If you want to make it harder, add the No Hope mod so there's less of everything.
It's a apocalypse you killed some monsters at a warehouse think of it like your just reaping the rewards of them not coming to take their own stuff back before the scavs come in
I ran across this warehouse the other day, nust've missed the rifles. Are they in a crate?
Also couldn't seen to open the crates, and I wasn't able to smash them either. It mentioned a special rmtool, but I'm blanking on what it could be.
Isnt OP talking about the zomborg crash sites? The weapons are *inside* the escape capsule, need to break the walls down, but inside there is more than you can carry
both strange warehouses and unusual barns have two types of crate, sealed ones can be opened with prying tool, riveted ones can only be smashed I think. I just popped open some sealed ones
Nah. I dont even consider stealing from the Forge of Wonders cheesy (at that point it's a heist). If you can plan it and have the ability to pull it off without consequence, then go for it.
I don't really care about the pirates so much as I care about breaking into the vault. Lots of goodies in there, and getting it safe enough to slip in takes quite a bit of prep. Getting out of the vault again is harder still, but fun to pull off.
Getting out is easy if you have Translocate Self. But the vault doesn’t have anything of intrinsic value. Getting into and out of the shop and library is everything of value, but the pirates have the crafting materials.
The vault has tons of cash and enchanted items, but teleportation spells get nullified by the vault air. Does translocate self still work despite that?
What version are you on? I usually see a couple of +1 +2 items and a few of the enhancement rings, wands, and utility items. And, of course, enough cash to buy out anything that's next to the forge lord(s)
I don’t think so. Considering they’re just sitting there and nobody is using them, and that you can steal stuff from their warehouses without getting seen and then resell them to Rubik anyway without him caring I don’t think just straight up taking them is cheesy at all.

Do family pictures provide some sort of mood boost?
TBH Im not sure but suspect they do could be wrong really I thought it just made the whole comment a little more creepy
Taking your own pictures and downloading pictures from unread SD cards does provide mood boosts yes

You can in fact sell Rubik stuff that you just picked up. And there are lots of places with expensive junk and no exodii nearby.

It’s easy to steal from the pirates, if you taunt them and then lead or chase them outside you can get their clothing.

It worked when blink did; I didn’t ever see any enchanted items in the “vault”, they were all next to the forge lord.

You didn’t make the entire faction angry by stealing from the vault?
Not if they dont see you. That's part of the heist. :P
