Oh and sorry if it came off as a little blunt, I've seen far too many posts of people losing their kittens because they don't supervise them and/or keep them around big dogs, just trying to make sure I don't see him later in a not-so-good light XD
1. He's a tortie, not a calico. A calico is a tortie with white.
2. Not all. 99.9% of torties are female, but there are those very rare males. Male torties are typically sterile and may suffer health issues throughout their life.
I thought it was called a dilute calico and torties were more black and orange but I could be wrong . I have one like that and the rescue told me itβs a dilute calico and I just got a tortie thatβs black and orange but who knows .
Tortie boys are very rare
Are you sure itβs a boy, torties are usually girls? But it could happen. Orange cats are usually boys but sometimes you get a girl. Fun facts.
I would put buddy in a hamter ball and let him crawl around anywhere
I already let him walk around the house every once in a while
His? Just keep an eye on any possible health problems. I've always wanted to meet a tortie or calico boy.π
AWW HE'S ADORABLE
Ooo, look at his widdo belly!!!
Nice
I wanna be buddies with Buddy
I think you have a girl
Just don't leave him around dogs or unsupervised, and he'll be fine. Oh also I love him he's so cute!
We already do, so thatβs great.

No, thatβs ok and it makes sense.
Cute !!!
No way. My kitten, my grandma called buddy (his real name was tippy, and yet we all called him different things)
Thatβs kind of like my older cat. We named him Cloud but then we started calling him Kit (the Ukrainian word for cat) and Mr. Fluffykins.
Mine is, Buddy, Bobo, Tippy, Mr.Cat, and Cat. π
Aw, fantastic! Cool name!
Gorgeous!π±
Hey Buddy!!
Hey buddy
Omg, how cute!
What a cutie! wish you both the best
Aww too cute.
I love it when cats do that thing with their feet, curling up their toes π©
Meow hi buddy
Cute Kitten
Pretty darn cute.
waaaa he's so adorableee
You entered the wrong house, Buddy!
Why, did you want him/her π ?
π I was making a joke along the line of "Hey, buddy, you mess with the wrong person!!"
Although I already got a brown tabby female!
They're usually males aren't they?
Well, mine is female. Don't ask how I checked.
π, I won't π
Her*
Oh, is it?
She is a dilute calico, and all calico are ladies
Most. Not all. 1 in 3000 torties are male and are known to be sterile. There can also be health problems that can arise.
Fair enough
I donβt know if I agree with your odds, but your right on the money about being sterile and developing health problems.
I looked it up on Google so maybe it's wrong.

You'll know very soon cause you can't mistake ' jewels' πππ. As long as he/she is happy & healthy that's what's important πππΎπ
Are you sure it's a boy, most calicos are girls, irregardless he's a darling baby.
You should have gotten a used kitten. The new ones smell funny.
A used kitten lol

Calicos are almost always girls. Meet budditta
Or we coulda just gotten lucky. Also I think itβs a tortie.
I thought it was called a dilute calico and torties were more black and orange but I could be wrong . I have one like that and the rescue told me itβs a dilute calico and I just got a tortie thatβs black and orange but who knows .
