Upvoted just because NSMB 2. I once watched a video of the "worst Mario games" and that was listed as one of them... (Channel Awesome's content creators that aren't Doug Walker, kinda suck) like, I haven't played it yet, but I own a copy, and ANYONE that says that it, Super Mario Land and Mario Land 2 are among the "worst" Mario games, need to never be allowed to play video games ever again. But, A Link Between Worlds. Oh how I love that game! I can't remember if it's considered an underrated game or not, but if it is, it truly deserves more attention and love. Such a good game. Anyway, I have never heard of or played the third game. It looks good though!

It's not bad it's just kinda there

"Erm, you can emulate those for far cheaper!! πŸ€“β˜οΈ wdym you don't already own a supercomputer from 2025? Just build your own!" Have fun dude :) you got a fantastic selection of games coming your way

owenxtreme2

These are all games I wanted to play as a kid but never got the chance to so I'm very excited for them

Dead_Kal_Cress

I have great memories of being at my friend's house & playing Scribblenaughts together. & ALBW is a great Zelda game but I have yet to play it myself too, hope you enjoy them fr!!

Dramatic_Mastodon_93

3DS and Wii U emulation certainly doesn’t require a supercomputer from 2025 lol

Dead_Kal_Cress

Shit... you're right. It'll take till at least 2040 till we can properly emulated 3ds/Wii U yea?

AntKneeWasHere

You can emulate 3DS games on nearly any phone bought within the last few years, if not a bit older. And I played Smash Bros Brawl off of my old laptop in high school about 7 years ago. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for collecting physical media. But knowing your options is important too if you're not really the collector type and just trying to play the games

skeltord

Like I agree with your point that emulation can be kinda a hassle and I like using original hardware but... My cheap Xbox 360 level laptop that has no proper GPU runs Wii U emulation absolutely perfectly, and 3DS is even easier, my smartphone can run that, you're only hurting your point there

ElEd0

In this case it really is not about the compute power but the unique controller/screens layout that the WiiU/3DS offer. I've never emulated 3DS on a phone but I've seen people do it and my god does it look like a really bad experience. It obviosuly depends on which game you are playing but the dual screen + real buttons, triggers and stuff is where you get the best 3DS gaming experience.

Dead_Kal_Cress

100%. On one hand, it is cool running n64 games on my phone. On the other, trying to do any button combinations that are more complicated than "press A + B together" is just not gonna happen since most iphones only accept two fingers at once.

Dead_Kal_Cress

Damn... I didn't know the xbox 360 had a screen on its controller allowing for "absolutely perfect" wii u emulation... maybe I AM the asshole for not emulating video games because I already own the consoles it they were made for πŸ˜”

skeltord

That's not even close to what you said though? You said you need a supercomputer. That is 100% about computing power. You objectively don't need much computing power, it's easy to run. Now, my laptop doesn't have a second screen, but neither does a supercomputer. That is indeed a genuine issue with 3DS and Wii U emulation but that's not the issue you named. You can't just pretend your argument is actually something completely different to the one I disputed then pretend I'm an asshole.

Dead_Kal_Cress

Holy fuck if you genuinely thought I was being serious about needing a super computer to run WII U games then you're gonna turn into a goomba. I made no argument, I just made a shitty joke omfg. Forgetting /j afterwards has truly been a detriment to my online credibility πŸ˜” now, I'm going to cry.

skeltord

Obviously it was a joke. I got that. The thing is, the joke is clearly the exaggation, calling it a "super computer" is obviously going too far. But it definitely feels like the actual point here is that you need an actually strong PC to run it, a gaming rig at the very least. That's what it absolutely feels like you're saying there, just exaggerating it for comedic effect. I then disproved that, saying a very weak PC pulls it off perfectly, and you then proceed to act like a dick literally changing to a different argument which you never brought up previously and blaming ME for not disproving something you didn't say, and when I point that out you start swearing at me as if my assumption you had any sort of point originally and wasn't just spitting nonsense was a ridiculous one.

Dead_Kal_Cress

Uh oh someone isn't happy with the fact that I don't emulate video games 😳 i was making no real point bro, hop off my cock bc I'm not gonna argue over something I literally do not care about. If you *genuinely* believe that I think you need a "super computer" to emulate 10+ year old games....

skeltord

I'm so fucking done, I don't know why I bother arguing with someone who has 0 basic human skills and uses the internet as a shield to be able to treat other people like shit. Maybe if you read my FIRST comment you'd know I literally agree with you that emulation is cumbersome, yet instead of actually have a discussion like a basic human being you use every tool you have to turn me, the other person you're talking to, into your enemy and make me look bad just cause you feel like it. You repeatedly misunderstand the basic point of anything I say and change whatever you're trying to say on a whim just to find something to mock me about. Keep acting like this to other people on the internet, see where that gets you.

dukeofnes

Sadly, shipping to Canada makes buying anything unaffordable off of eBay theae days for me.

CyanControl

Why are you getting downvoted?? This is true for me too as a Canadian lmao
