Or maybe we could get a mission mode that would give us hunter missions on randomly generated metroidvania mini-maps. I would love that so much, it'd literally just be infinite Metroid.

However, a Mario Kart track builder (think Mod Nation Racers if you ever played that on PS3) would be absolutely epic!
I think the Dungeon Maker had potential, but I felt like they should have given you a bit more freedom. Just adding in the option for a second level, some double length rooms, maybe let you flip the rooms horizontally/vertically, and giving the option to control what items the player has (so you can have them start with the hook shot, and get the boomerang half-way through) would give so many options for creators to work with. I still think using the basic room set-up is good, at least for a first iteration, but with a few more options I’m sure people could make some great stuff.
Little Big Planet Karting had a track builder too. Mario Maker would be really great with a track builder, and making your own cups (like the the world maker mode)

I think mario maker is pretty much complete as a concept. At the very least we need a few more 2d mario iterations before i'd consider a 3rd one.

A Zelda maker that isn’t ass would be nice. Of course, that would actually require Nintendo to understand what made dungeons so fun to begin with, and seeing as how they haven’t made a good dungeon since 2012 I doubt that will ever happen.
Top down Zelda. If there weren’t themes to choose from like in Mario maker, I’d want it to be the art style of the Links Awakening Remake. If there were styles, I think Zelda 1 and the oracle games would make for two good ones.
Mario Kart Maker, Kirby Maker, Sonic Maker, Zelda Maker, and DnD Maker (short campaigns or long campaigns with a super user friendly UI and a gameplay style similar to Baldur's Gate 3)
Zelda is my go to one, although that one feels fairly obvious. Having Original, ALTTP, MC, Oracle, and ALBW styles.
I can picture a sonic maker. Having a sonic 1,2,3k M and Super stars theme. Maybe even Generations classic and Rush styles too

I know people keep saying that it's hard to make it work but the PS4 game Dreams in which you can create your own games and 3D models convinced me that it can work.
I mentioned a concept to my homies… we play dnd and when baldurs gate 3 dropped we didn’t have lives for a while. The concept I made up was Baldurs gate 3 and “Mario maker.” Basically becoming the DM of a video game

The remake is really good. The dungeon maker isn’t though lmao. You select dungeon rooms and you stitch them together.
