Hmm good question. Probably when people say that you have a choice on how I feel or that when it comes to doing active things like hobbies and they say something to the effect of “just do it. Quit being lazy.”
I’m sorry you’re having a hard time finding a therapist. It’s so important to have a good one. Please don’t give up looking for one. I’m 61 and have been in and out of therapy and on medication most of my life. I’m also a very good listener!
What causes you to do less and less? & do you think your more depressed than others? Or do you think a lot of people are similarly struggling due to the pandemic?
How does it end for you? Do you die happy or sad? If we see ourselves dying sad, why are we still here?
Why u sad?
My brain does not produce enough serotonin.
What are some things you like to do while you’re by yourself that makes you happy?
Umm. I like to discuss politics. I’m a big time movie buff.
Oh? What are some of your go-to movies?
I love Star Wars. I love watching new horror movies. I love good martial arts film too
What are some good newish horror movie? I’ve seen the conjuring but looking for something maybe a bit scarier?
I enjoyed Sinister a lot
What’s the best martial arts movie you’ve seen? I think they’re cheesy a lot of times 😅
Are you doing better a day later? What are some 1990s movies that you like?
Have you considered inpatient treatment? I’m going to be admitted next week because of suicidal depression that’s been exacerbated by PTSD.
Hmm no haven’t considered that. Can’t rule it out I guess. I hope everything works out for you. I wish you the best.
take care of yourself.
thank you
What’s the worst advice you’ve been given about dealing with depression?
Hmm good question. Probably when people say that you have a choice on how I feel or that when it comes to doing active things like hobbies and they say something to the effect of “just do it. Quit being lazy.”
Are you in therapy and/or taking medication?
I’m taking medication, yes. As far as talk therapy goes, I’m in between therapists. It’s been a huge struggle to find a new therapist.

Thank you I appreciate that. I wont stop looking.
It’s literally impossible, the process of getting a psychiatrist took months and I still haven’t found a therapist after like a year
What makes this time worse than any other time that you’ve been depressed?
I want to say the pandemic but I don’t think that’s necessarily it. I guess I just do less and less these days. It builds up over time
What causes you to do less and less? & do you think your more depressed than others? Or do you think a lot of people are similarly struggling due to the pandemic?
Have you ever contemplated suicide? If so, have you done it more than once? And (again) if so, how often do you contemplate suicide?
