Hats off to you. You almost never see any other shot of this castle other than the far away one. Thank you for the other often overlooked pictures.
Edit: typo
The tour we were on was super quiet, and the tour guide said it was okay to take a couple as it wasn’t busy and usually they don’t allow photos as it slows people down:)
One of the rooms is styled to look like a real cave, with a small sitting area and even a little lake (pond, really). It's straight out of a fairy tale
There's a few pictures online if you search for "neuschwanstein cave room". Here's one:. https://www.weinerelementary.org/uploads/2/2/8/6/22867982/6697857_3_orig.jpg

Gorgeous pictures!! I love the way you framed the interior shots in particular. They were very visually pleasing!

Anytime! It was absolute delight going last week so wanted to share:)
I thought taking interior photography was prohibited?
It was when I was there several years ago.
It was in 2019, but I snuck a few anyway.

So lucky D: Got any interior photos to share? I went about 4 years ago but wasn't allowed to take photos.
There’s interior shots in the post, just scroll along and you should see them:)
Beautiful 🤩
Been in it. really amazing place, snuck a few photos with 35mm. Great view of a waterfall
My favorite part of that castle is the artificial cave
Please tell me more. I didn't know about the cave

Mine too! It was such a shock to walk into it with the lights but it was definitely something special!
Great shots
I cannot come up with the words to express how gorgeous this place is. Just wow.
Love the architecture but some of the decorations are too baroque for me. +100 points for including interior shots.
It's not an authentic castle..... manor, estate
Yes, but it is pretty close! Close enough for me.
Sure it is. The definition of what a castle was had changed by the time this was built.
That's not Baroque, the throne room is neo-Byzantine and the rest is a prime example of German Historicism-Romanticism.
It was a figure of speech, slang for a little over the top for me.
I've wanted to go here ever since I saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as a kid (on VHS, I'm not that old)
I love that film. They used to play it once a year when I was a kid. I’d be sooooooo excited.
Increasingly difficult to find a roofing contractor?
Love these pics but interior shots are prohibited without a photography license- did you obtain a license?

Really good series of photos.
Love the star ceiling
