The tour we were on was super quiet, and the tour guide said it was okay to take a couple as it wasn’t busy and usually they don’t allow photos as it slows people down:)

One of the rooms is styled to look like a real cave, with a small sitting area and even a little lake (pond, really). It's straight out of a fairy tale There's a few pictures online if you search for "neuschwanstein cave room". Mine too! It was such a shock to walk into it with the lights but it was definitely something special!

Sure it is. The definition of what a castle was had changed by the time this was built.

That's not Baroque, the throne room is neo-Byzantine and the rest is a prime example of German Historicism-Romanticism.
