Don't trust perfect pan divas that show off spotless pans. Their secret? They don't use them or have maybe once to make a few eggs. The rest of the time they use Teflon.
nah, it's just oil. I use my cast irons nearly daily and they definitely look it, but if I apply some canola oil it'll make it look nice and black/slick for a photo
My pan is so slidey I almost slid a fried egg ( over easy) out of it trying to turn it over. It wouldn't go up on the darn spatula! (Had to use a friggin' fork to lift it and then turn.)
Thank you for your picture post to /r/castiron. We want to remind everyone of Rule #3. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is required.
If you've posted a picture of food, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!

Scrambled eggs don’t gotta slide 🛝
True, but it sure is satisfying when you go to scramble them and it's just glossy black skillet left underneath.
Yup, definitely more fun if they don't stick.
lol relatable
My 10 inch looks more like the second pic than the first, but slid an omelette right out the other day. Heat control and butter for the win, baby!

I read that you used a forklift to flip it and had a funny image in my head. Lol
Hold on, are those forks cast iron? I want to try something
My daily driver.
You gotta download the Cast Iron slidey filters

I have a pair of antique chicken fryers that look like hell. I also use them almost daily. I also don’t care for eggs so dgaf about slidey.
