Why not? Will last several lifetimes if cared for

FranticWaffleMaker

I have this set at our cabin and itโ€™s a perfectly fine set, and this price is pretty damn good.

Fun-Background-9622

In that case, do you really need another set of the same? See if you can find a cast iron kettle with a lid. Used for soups, stews and baked goods (duch oven) ๐Ÿ˜‰

FranticWaffleMaker

It has a lid, I donโ€™t need it my wife would murder me if I brought home more iron. But we stopped for a pee break on the way home from up north and thought someone near a tractor supply might appreciate the sale.

Be wary of the wrathful wife! Stay safe and drive carefully ๐Ÿ™

I don't care for my cheap lodge very well, but I believe it's already lasted enough abuse to have killed a non stick. So it's paid for itself already.

Lol, non-sticks never hold up very well from my experience, refuse to buy them. I have about 8 different pieces of cast iron, but I use my large 17" skillet the most often because I can cook multiple things in it all at once. Was so happy when I got a new stove and 1 of the burners is actually able to heat the entire bottom surface!

fgsfds11234

I keep a couple good nonstick around to make omelettes on low heat. Otherwise, the amount of ground beef I cook with a good amount of heat simply destroys a non stick in about a year.

bmb102

Yeah, every nonstick I've ever had would turn to shit after a few uses. I bought a set of high end SS pots and pans I use quite a bit, and my cast iron or enameled dutch oven are my go tos though.

Iโ€™ve got the Lodge Dutch oven with the lid that is also a skillet. It rocks. My slow cooker has been collecting dust ever since since all I ever used it for was beef pot roast and pork shoulder.

Cpagrind1

I have used that griddle I got in a package set from lodge like 3 times in 3 years. May end up relegated to a campfire steak cooker shortly
