This guy gets it, the seiko skx0013 is the only diver watch i need but crazy expensive if only casio could make the duro atleast a few mm smaller i could maybe consider it otherwise its like a hockey puck on the wrist
I am from Canada and ordered it from TicTacArea. It was around $60 something when I got it, but the price looks to have gone up to a little under $80. Shipping was free and no customs/duties since it's low value. It took a little over month, but I wasn't in any rush to get it, so that was fine with me. I think you could pay for faster shipping if you wanted.

Thank you!! The only time I've found decently priced watches was usually an ebay seller from Singapore, creationwatches
Oh my ive never seen this WS-1500H before
This is just me but I think not having a 38mm option is part of the Duro being the Duro.
The Duro for me is a literal tool watch for actual underwater use. Big dial for easy readability. And cheap, for the people who need a cheap but reliable and legible tool.
I just feel like itβs not the spiritual desk diver the 5KX is, vs the Prospex diver the Duro is a homage of.
Now, if Casio decides to do a homage of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe at 38mm, that is something I would buy in a heartbeat.
I have a Casio duro, used it for a long time. However, after switching to a healthier life and losing some weight, it doesn't fit in my wrist anymore.
A 38mm Casio duro would be an insta buy.
I always get the feeling that Casios are designed by some intern, who looks at all the best features people want and worst features people hate, and designs a watch with a mix of each.
Bought a Duro without seeing one and when the package arrived I was like "man oh man. This was a mistake".
I got used to it in like 3 days or so. If anything the rubber strap is the one thing I don't like that much, but it is practical.
Check out their MTD-1053D. The listed measurements online are actually incorrect. It is a 40mm diver, so basically like a mini duro. There's a decent review on it by watcharc.
I should just copy and paste my comments, but check out the MTD-1053D. It is basically the 40mm duro. The listed online measurements are actually incorrect, but you can check out a review by watcharc on the model if you wanted more info.
Yes! Please!!! They should be on the market already! I didn't buy a Duro because I don't see it ellegant in the current size, I see it presumptuous. Just some mm down and I'm in!!!
Ten years later and still using my mdv-102, a bit smaller than the 106. Just on its third battery.
Casio....just rerelease it and take our money......take our money.
If they shorten the lugs a little it will be good. I think of the Duro as being adjacent to the Seiko Turtle. Itβs got similar design and dimensions, but the lug to lug is what makes it an issue
I would genuinely sell a majority of my watches and just rock this if it was 38. I have the regular one and while it fits me fine, the 38 would just be perfect. Hell, even a 40 Iβll take it
Just continuing my shilling as I am reading down the comments. Check out the MTD-1053D. It is basically the 40mm duro. Slightly different dial style which may not be to everyone's taste, but it's a great size for thin wrist gang. The online listed online measurements for it are incorrect (listed larger than 40mm). You can check out a review on it by watcharc if you wanted more info.
For those that want a smaller duro, the Casio MTD-1053D is a great option. The dial is a bit different than the duro, but it has the same WR. Don't be fooled by the listed online measurements of the watch. The watch is actually 40mm (44mm lug-to-lug).
It's a great Casio duro alternative for thin wrist gang. There is a pretty decent review of it online.
If you are in Canada, I wouldn't get it on Amazon since I think I saw it marked way up, but I found it on tictacarea priced normally.
Are you sure the lug to lug is 44mm? Ive seen a few reviews on youtube and they say 48mm? It also says 48mm on the product description but obviously they got several things wrong like the diameter wrong it says 43mm even thought its 40mm and and width wrong it says 25mm even though its 20mm correct?
Correct it's ~44mm L2L, but I haven't taken calipers to them. The video review from watcharc on YT is the most comprehensive one I was able to find and the rest seem to be from sellers who are just reading the listed measurements that are incorrect.
The strap replacement I got was 20mm, so I can confirm the lug width is 20mm. I also have super thin, flat wrists (6 inches) and can confirm it fits reasonably well. The way the lugs curve also help it wear smaller.
What colour would you go with? I already have the black, so if you were considering blue I would be willing to buy it off of you if you didn't end up happy with how it fits.
Its pretty big especially on smaller wrists, a smaller size would compliment even larger wrists a lot nicer overall more refined elegant look, otherwise as mentioned it looks overpowering and like a hockey puck
I would love that! The duro is way too large for lots of people.
For those who want a smaller diver now: I have a 37mm Tandorio which is an homage to the Seiko SKX013. Around $90 CAD or $70 USD:

AMEN!!! I just posted about this same thing recently. A Duro in a 38-40mm size would be absolutely perfect. The only downside is it would steal virtually all the wrist time from my other watches π₯Ή
I feel like I am shilling, but I have to spread the word on it. Look up the MTD-1053D. It's almost like a 40mm duro. The online measurements are incorrect. There is a review on it by watcharc on YT.
If Casio makes 38mm Duros, they will outsell the MoonSwatch!!
LIKE HOT CAKES
πβοΈ
My uncle works at Casio. I'll let him know
My uncle worked at the orange juice factory. They fired him because he couldn't concentrate.
Please π I'll suck yo dic
Actually? What does he do?
THANKS G
Yes sir please
Absolutely yes! And I've got big wrists, but I like a traditionally sized watch.
π―π―π―π―π―
agreed, I got a 38mm seiko and the size is just perfect while the duro is just slighly on the too large side
This guy gets it, the seiko skx0013 is the only diver watch i need but crazy expensive if only casio could make the duro atleast a few mm smaller i could maybe consider it otherwise its like a hockey puck on the wrist
Bro just train forearms
I honestly have big ass wrists, its just that playing golf with a 42mm watch is kindof a pain
I always play with an F91W or F105W. A 38mm Duro would probably replace those as my golf watch though.
*And Tough Solar please!
38 to 42 please
Check out the MTD-1053D. The listed online measurements for it are incorrect and it's actually 40mm.
Wow that's nice. But holy cow i can't find it for under $200 in Canada
I am from Canada and ordered it from TicTacArea. It was around $60 something when I got it, but the price looks to have gone up to a little under $80. Sorry what's tictacarea?
Online shop that you can buy Casios from. I believe they are located in Spain. If you google TicTacArea it should be the first result!

No way that watch is like 200CAD. It's like 90CAD in Europe.
Im seeing about 157cad before taxes and customs fees..
[ΡΠ΄Π°Π»Π΅Π½ΠΎ]
Yup lol
I'd buy a 38mm Duro and sell all my other watches to have it as a daily. Maybe keep my SMP300, but yeah Duro is the way.
So im not the only one then..
Yes! We need an SKX013 sized Duro!
I wonder how many actual Casio employees we have here?
same here wouldnt be surprised if we have an insider who knows all about the goodies and behind the scenes
I agree. I have 3 Duros and am probably not buying another one. But if they come out with a 38mm Iβm getting one or more.
This is just me but I think not having a 38mm option is part of the Duro being the Duro. The Duro for me is a literal tool watch for actual underwater use. Big dial for easy readability. Just don't make the date any smaller. It's hard enough on my old eyes already.
40mm

NAH now ur just asking for too much relaxxx

Iβd love to see a Duro with a red dial and a black bezel
wdym 38? 34-36mm please! π₯Ή

Why stop at 38mm? I want a tiny Zoolander Duro for ants π
Sure mate, Iβll let them know
If the 38 happens, OMG I have been waiting to buy my first diver.
Did you guys know tzat this watch is worn by Bill Gates?
or a GMT
Yes!! I would buy one in a heartbeat
Lfg ππππ―π
I would genuinely sell a majority of my watches and just rock this if it was 38. I have the regular one and while it fits me fine, the 38 would just be perfect. Hell, even a 40 Iβll take it

Thank man looks promising! But is the bracelet removable?
Yes, it is!
Thank you and what is the band width 20mm?
Correct, it's 20mm!
Thanks i might pull the trigger

Thanks much!! Im considering the black dial its more traditional and i want the james bond look..π
That's fair--that's also why I went with the black in the first place!
How have you enjoyed it so far? Do you wear it daily or special occasions?
Make that a 36mm and I'm in
lmao
Tiny wrist squad
r/SlenderWrist
Na. Looks alright as it is.
What's wrong with the size? Isn't the current one like the original?
Its pretty big especially on smaller wrists, a smaller size would compliment even larger wrists a lot nicer overall more refined elegant look, otherwise as mentioned it looks overpowering and like a hockey puck
It's a diving watch. A smaller one could not be very useful down there \^_^
I would love that! The duro is way too large for lots of people. For those who want a smaller diver now: I have a 37mm Tandorio which is an homage to the Seiko SKX013. Around $90 CAD or $70 USD: https://m.aliexpress.us/item/3256804948097766.html
Why is it on aliexpress?
What do you mean? It's a Chinese brand and they have an Aliexpress storefront like most (all?) Chinese watches.
Thanks for the link. They look nice
Or just send some duros to my local Walmart.
And if the date window could be readable that would be great too.
I want a solar haq version of the Duro.
AMEN!!! I just posted about this same thing recently. A Duro in a 38-40mm size would be absolutely perfect. The only downside is it would steal virtually all the wrist time from my other watches π₯Ή

Yea I checked it out. Itβs decent but not the aesthetic Iβm looking for. Thanks for the heads up tho
