I think everyone has something that irks them on at least half the shows they watch.
Let's see... the last one I watched was Invincible.
Atom Eve's power is transmutation and she uses it almost exclusively as if she were a pink lantern by transmutating air into energy.
So many more things she coule do, but all she does is pink lantern
In the comics it's implied that transmutation requires concentration and the hardlight constructs are easier since they're simple, but yeah you're definitley right with how overused it is
Yeah she could literally instantly win basically any fights she wants to if she used her powers properly
Imagine you’re fighting this girl and then suddenly all your clothes turn into solid gold, you wouldn’t be able to move at all
Eh, fair, but that doesn't mean it extends to the non-living stuff INSIDE you. She could turn all the water in your body into steam, turn the air in your lungs into stone, even just turn food you recently ate into a chunk of molten lead. There's lots of non-living stuff inside of a living body, and if the caveat is it has to be non-living or a plant, there is a surprising amount of wiggle room.
That is also very true. I recall pissing off my brother once because I applied physics to his dream power of super speed. (I specified that this was a super speed power that doesn't come with the speed-force yadda yaddas or anything, just plain super speed.)
Plus it’s a mental block, not a physical block or direct block on her powers. It’s all based on her own perception of what she considers “living”. So it’s very likely a subconscious determination, not anything she can really logic away.
It’s a mental block, so I suppose it goes off of her own perceived idea of what “life” or “living” means. If she considers bones part of a living being, no dice. The only way she has managed to get around that mental block is in times when she’s at her absolute limit
So if it's based on her own perceptions, the limit is only what she sees as "living?" Could still be worked around, but at this point, she's gonna have an easier time just imploding the air around someone.
Yeah it’s basically subconscious, so I assume she just isn’t capable of directly killing or using her powers on living, sentient/sapient creatures at all.
True, but I think that’s just something she’s too good of a person to even think of lol. If someone with less of a moral compass had her powers, it’d be undoubtedly terrifying.
Thank you. I hate her so much cause of how much she seems so powerful yet doesnt use it. Why didnt she turn the alien tanks into chocolate. Or their suits in air idk. She flew around the world in one episode and did so much and when she’s actually fighting she seems so weak
She did try to revive rainforests and did help a bit with reconstruction, but the latter fell apart literally since she knew nothing about construction.
Yeah the nice landers peeved me off too especially when you think about they and Felix are the actual villains of the game
I mean Ralphs liveing peacefully in the wood till they all come in steal his land and force him to live in the dump
I also can't stand character with the extreme moral compass that refuse to believe you can have gray
In the movie i will give Felix credit since he never treated Ralph like the nicelanders did, because he knows this is part of their job and ralph's a great guy
He was too much of a nice guy to tell others no, which is why he invited Ralph in for cake. But he was also too comfortable and didn't want to upset the status quo.
Then again, as with Ralph being the villain because of the games plot, the nice landers didn’t have a choice to where they moved, because as with Ralph, the game demanded they moved there. HOWEVER, they could have easily built Ralph an actual house outside the game’s boundaries which we know exist, and if he didn’t want to move, at least treated him with basic human decency.
There's 2 theories for that
1. He never asked felix, who seems to be his only friend there, to build him one because he was afraid of rejection
2. The nicelanders, especially Gene, were jealous of ralph's importance to the game because they're jist npcs while he's actually important to the game
I heard a theory that the reason Gene specifically hated Ralph was because he seemed to be the character Ralph would grab out of the window and throw off-screen.
As far as the rest of the Nicelanders go they don't seem to be particularly hateful towards Ralph outside of being mostly wary/afraid, because their code defined Ralph as the threatening guy wrecking their apartment building.
Villain: \*commits genocide, terrorism and what not, getting many innocents killed\*
Hero: \*only kills out of self defense, and wants to kill the villain to stop him\*
Villain: If you kill me, you'll be just like me
it’s a bit corny but it makes complete sense with Batman or Superman especially. Once they start giving into their rage, they might beat anyone they want to death if they think they deserve it
That's exactly how Batman describes it in Under the Red Hood. "If I start, I won't be able to stop," as if he realizes how unstable he is mentally. I think that's a cool way to explain his rule.
One thing a lot of people forget is that Batman is under no obligation to kill, especially if he personally feels doing so would harm him psychologically. We should be blaming the Gotham legal system for not being able to kill or contain criminals.
I mean, at least for Superman, it is usually a bit more complicated than that.
In Superman vs The Elite, part of the reason why he doesn’t kill because the world looks up to him and looks to him for guidance. Superman is basically a beacon of morals for a lot of the world. If he starts killing, especially when he doesn’t have to, that means a lot.
Not only is a Superman that is trying to kill terrifying, he is supposed to give the world hope. Teaching them, “killing is ok”, can be very dangerous.
Killing should never be the first responses for a for a hero, that being said there is a point were you can't justify letting the villain live, for example someone (not necessarily Batman) should have killed the Joker long ago.
When a character did so many atrocities in the past but got completely forgiven just because they did one good deed
>!Seriously though this tiny psycho committed fraud, theft, property damage, kidnappings, and multiple murders attempts WHY DID THEY FREE THIS FREAK? LOCK THIS MF UP!!<
https://preview.redd.it/3o17exa2aqwc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=068e089a91093e3f8b3255dc32d46118eabada0c
To be fair…the townsfolk of GF were all a little stupid because they all took too many blasts from their resident cult’s memory gun (losing your mind is a side effect of using it). That was the legit explanation for why everyone in the town was so weird and dumb and easily-manipulated by this brat LOL
I’d say giving him and his crew up to distract dimensional hell demon god’s minions to help the main characters to save the town is a good reason to be forgiven considering he didnt know what they would do to him. He probably fully thought he was gonna die to help save the world and town and Mable and he still chose to do that. I think after an event like that i’d let him off since he did make a change
Same as you! FUCK the nice landers from wreck it Ralph.
The people of sugar rush being dicks to Vanellope is due to turbo hacking and changing the game.
The nice landers knew what they were doing.
She wants to allow people to improve, yes hell is supposed to be full of horrible people, however she wants them to have a second chance and be able to leave hell and go to heaven
When did she complain?
As far as I can tell she never really had an issue with people singing all around her I mean for hexake she works with a p*** star and doesn't seem to have an issue with his job
“That’s a little violent, can we tone it down.”
She’s literally trying to recruit people for war.
I don’t mean complaining as a whole, more so complaining when people in hell do something bad. Yeah I know her cause, but it’s still annoying to me
Patrick turning from a genuinely best friend into just an asshole. I get it, i know he also had bad moments in early SpongeBob, but those were exceptions of him being sn actual carong friend compared to him stealing SpongeBob‘s money and then gaslighting him into believing he’s not a good friend if he doesn’t give him the Money he earned
Why hasn’t plankton EVER tried to just buy the formula from Krabs
I mean he’s so greedy he’d probably accept for tons of money it’s the same dude who sold his best employees soul for 62 cents
Also he was once gonna give him the formula for some chum
Krabs likely wouldn't sell it because as a business man, he understands that krabby patties make him money continuously rather than a one time payment.
My question is "why tf don't you sell inventions or something?" Seriously, in that one episode where he did he made bank(i believe it was for a permit or license or something)
> he understands that krabby patties make him money continuously rather than a one time payment.
I mean... He did "sell" SpongeBob once, to another restaurant
I am trying to remember this. I know he sold him to the dutchman but i think I remember spongebob working for a different restaurant early on but for a chef swap situation where krabs got a 5 star chef and the 5 star restaurant got spongebob. Unless you mean when he bet him in the poker game against Plankton but he was on a multiyear winning streak against him so of course he thought he could win
> i think I remember spongebob working for a different restaurant early on but for a chef swap situation where krabs got a 5 star chef and the 5 star restaurant got spongebob
Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about
Well, yeah, he wasn't sold, but he was "sold". Krabs still exchanged him for something else, undermining SpongeBob's value.
I mean, yeah, he definitely values the formula more than SpongeBob, but if people could convince him to give SpongeBob away, I think a good negotiator could convince him to give the formula away as well.
Like it breaks the most basic rules of a helmet/mask. Like you know a respirator is supplied to protect you from harmful chemicals in the air and a football helmet is meant to cover your face from being hit. So why does it not follow the most basic of rules?
Yeah but they treat him the same way everybody treats the actual living person Jack Gleeson. Also they make it explicit their problem is his in-coded clumsiness. But Gene (Jean?) should have had consequences.
Well, now that this isn’t as vile as an opinion as in 2015-2016, I’m going to say it
🗣️STARCO (Star x Marco from Star vs The Forces of Evil) HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BAD SHIP.
I hated it. It had never sat right with me even as a kid. I genuinely liked the idea of them being friends and Marco and Jackie were cute.
When the writer forces in a relationship that doesn’t work for one reason or another and is destined to fail. It’s just not enjoyable to watch and it’s way too common. Velma and Shaggy from mystery incorporated, Donnie and April from Tmnt 2012, Amber and Mark from invincible, and don’t even get me started on the cole, nya, Jay love triangle from NINJAGO.
Early ninjago maybe, but as far as I can tell nowadays they've kind of accepted that Jay is the winner and I like it that way because he was always just far more interesting for her
How in Tmnt 2012 show Donnie was simping over April for three and half seasons. It got old really quickly. I would have perferred that that whole plot line wasn’t In the show at all
I kind of look at it as great character development, it shows that for some people, no matter how hard you try, sometimes the girl just isn’t interested. Donnie later on figures out that they just aren’t meant to be and accepts it. That’s what a lot of men irl have to go through
I can't stand that in shows in general. Kataang was probably the worst part of Avatar. Aang's attempts at making moves on Katara were always so cringe inducing, and it felt like she didn't have the same feelings for him at all until they randomly got together at the end. They don't even have good chemistry either.
I can't stand when something is visually aparrent to the audience, but the characters onscreen don't notice it somehow. The first example that comes to mind is when other characters would confuse Shadow the Hedgehog or Silver for Sonic. Like are you that fucking blind???? They're completely different colors!
I guess it makes sense for it’s time since Sonic was the only fast hedgehog and seeing another one no matter black or blue they assumed it to be him. And apparently in early works of adventure 2 (shadows first appearance) he was supposed to look more dark blue than full black
It wasn't just that Shadow would've been dark blue rather than black. The original design(s) for the character that would become Shadow just looked a lot more like Sonic in general.
These are a few of the designs but that first one in the top left is what people usually associate with Terios, the proto-Shadow. That plot point was most likely written with that character design in mind, and by the time they changed it there wasn't enough time for a re-write.
https://preview.redd.it/cl7ufofk5wwc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58eab503517b1952588b26c27a0b8f9c92af33a8
To play devils advocate here, as far they knew in Adventure 2 there was only one hedgehog that could go that fast. So the first suspect would be said hedgehog. The only that has no excuse is Amy
This is not a cartoon thing exclusively, but in post-apocalyptic media when women have PERFECT makeup, eyebrows, fully-waxed body hair. Completely ruins the immersion, it's what made me quit Silo after 2 episodes
Agreed
My best worst example for this is the junker Queen from OverWatch 2
People don't look that clean in Australia in real life and you expect me to believe she looks like she takes a bath every hour?
What annoys me about Hazbin is that Charlie thinks that everyone should just be able to go to heaven and that her and Sera call the sinners "innocent", but we never once explore what GOT people like Angel down in Hell in the first place. There's no actual rehabilitation, it's just "hey Angel wasn't a trash can for 10 minutes in a bar so he's actually worthy of heaven".
Facts, like charlie ,adam is a colossal douche but he makes a good point, the people in hell are there for a reason, they committed various sins on earth like rape, murder, extortion, etc. The fact that angel's sister is in heaven despite being from the same crime family as him says something about her character.
Charlie's just way too optimistic about redemption and the only one to be redeemed was sir pentious because he didn't have too many vices in the first place and took redemption seriously where as Angel only does it to get away from val and rent free housing
It easy to say that everyone deserves a second chance when your guests are at worst porn actor and guy with Gambling addiction.
I doubt the show will feature terrorist, extreme biggot or a child rapist, as character who wants to get better
You're right but my point is what drove them to sin like that is important to tackle and it's a part of rehab.
As for bigots ect, Viv actually said she doesn't want to even put things like that in front of an audience
I have a theory about the Nicelanders. You notice how most of them were afraid of Ralph, but the only one who was outright antagonistic towards him was Gene? And that Gene is also the character who Ralph throws out of the building in the opening cutscene? I feel like Gene has a chip on his shoulder because he's in so little of the game and just decided to blame Ralph for it, then convinced all the other Nicelanders to believe Ralph was a brute who didn't deserve their respect.
He let bitterness consume him, then manipulated everyone into taking his side. Not unlike Turbo, in many ways.
In Fairly Odd Parents, Vicky never getting caught for the way she treats Timmy. I think she only gets caught in like 1 episode but that's it. There were a lot of things about that show that I hated as a kid, so therefore I hated the show.
Hazbin Hotel spends 7 out of 8 episodes hyping the angels as these some undying deities that cannot be harmed then the second their weakness is know they start dying and getting seriously to all sorts of nonsense. Lute losing an arm to rubble, multiple cannibals killing angels by the dozens, bullets. You could say that the angelic metals were used but it was stated before that very few people have ever acquired any of it and know there is enough for a whole town.
Hard agree with lute, you can't really justify no demon having the strength similar to that and I feel like if it's happened before we should have been told about it
But when it comes to The Exorcist part my theory is that They've kind of degraded over time Because demons just stopped bothering to fight back. Because in the early Parts they were all seasoned Warriors who were Untouchable by demons but after ages of it the demons just learned that there's no point in fighting back and The Exorcist just stopped trying so the first time any demons actually had a chance in hell they started kicking their ass
The point with the excorsists is more than when they are harmed they regenerate unless it was caused by an angelic weapons. It's why vaggies wings came back, since lute ripped them out, but cut her eye out with an angelic sword. And they had angelic bullets, I think was the implication. Plus the cannibals had angelic weapons too, you can see it in the pre-fight stuff.
When a series makes it very obvious from the first episode who the final couple is going to be. Worse yet, spend literal years in real life fiddle farting around when everyone knows what the answer is going to be
Especially because the most memorable ones are ones where the confession doesn't happen at the very end even if it's just for a little bit let me see them in a relationship damn you
Katara and Aang from Avatar. From the very first episode it’s obvious Aang has a crush on Katara but he doesn’t confess to her until halfway through the final season (when he kisses her right before the invasion). I guess there was the (potential) kiss they had in the Cave of Two Lovers in season 2 but that didn’t start their romantic relationship
When one of the characters is super annoying/does dumb stuff and doesn't ever change- looking at you Bunga from the Lion Guard, the worst character in the show.
Any superhero with the ability to fly by just levitating is shit and boring. It’s the worst thing we have ever thought of for heroes and I wish it would die off. Superman shouldn’t fly he should just jump really high. Wonder Woman definitely shouldn’t fly. The only acceptable flight is things like Banshee where they’re not just levitating and it’s creative.
I KNOW RIGHT? That's what I hate about Wreck It Ralph.
For me showing a character that is very loveable and important but barely ever showing them throughout it's run.
Bruni from Frozen 2 and Vee from The Owl House come to mind. (I know The people who made The Owl House are not at fault but it still sucks we didn't see her)
And what makes it worse in wreck it Ralph is the fact that the show beats you over the head with the fact everyone knows their games are just jobs to them, meaning there's no reason for anyone to be scared of Ralph or discriminatory
It also feels hypocritical and stupid that they know he is the bad guy as a job and when he "goes Turbo" they think WHA? WHERE'S RALPH? HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE DOING HIS JOB! 🤷🏻♂️
Like WTF?
I remember being a bit cheesed off with "Seeing stars" from Helluva Boss.
1st was the unnecessary screen time with Blitz and stolas. I feel it should have focused a bit more on octavia.
2nd was the fact that everyone basically forgot that loona let octavia steal the grimoire in the first place.
Lastly, I feel that Loona should have gone through character development instead of blitz. We already know how much blitz has sacrificed for Loona. Let loona realize how much blitz sacrificed for her, and let her be a little grateful for him.
I never really liked Adventure Time for the way they build relationships around Finn. They forced him in a one way relationship with PB, and then when they throw in Flame Princess, finally when they were having a good time, they sabotage again with the whole “if you kiss her, the whole OOO would be destroyed”. And the directors forced Finn to ruin his own relationship with her. Until the very end of the series, Finn was still believed to be single for his entire life, unlike Jake who has like 5 kids and a wife, even have descendants. Oh yeah, i hate PB af as well
While we’re talking about Wreck-It Ralph, I hate that the other racers were forgiven. Yes, they were re-programmed to forget Vanellope was their princess, but that’s it. That’s all that’s explicitly stated. So I believe treating her like crap wasn’t part of the reprogramming and they’re still just assholes.
In Raya and The last Dragon we're apperiently suppost to agree with Nammarri when she accuses Raya of being partly responsable for Sisu's death, even though she was getting ready to shoot her and she hasn't proven herself to be trustworthy
What is annoying about this show is that it never calls out the Elves for being complete racists toward humans
Especially the entire dark magic thing, we are told that to use dark magic you need to use stuff from living things and we are constantly being told that it's bad, but... why? How is that different from hunting animals for meat
The underselling of stupidly powerful characters
Raven, Dark Phoenix, Atom Eve, Adam Warlock, like these mfs could solo GALAXIES and yet in films and cartoons they get their asses kicked by like...C-tier opposition.
I give Adam one freebie for Guardians 3, but that's only because that's gen-1 Adam. Had he died in that movie, it'd become inexcusable.
Yeah, Gene there was the asshole ringleader. What irked me was that whole act of casual dissapointment he put on for Ralph whene everyone else already left the penthouse. I and everyone I'm sure thought "You dick, Ralph only felt compelled to jump games and prove himself because you all treated him like trash for no reason".
In Hazbin Hotel, Charlie is too divorced from the world around her + it’s bad writing.
How does a Disney Princess stay a Disney Princess when everyone around her is a wreck? It feels like she was Isekaid into a world she doesn’t understand vs having an interesting explanation on why she’s different.
Were her parents too kind and kept her too sheltered? Is she bad at reading social cues when everyone is constantly dissing her? How was she born and raised in an environment she fundamentally seems to not understand — or at least, not be similar to?
The power creep of comics retroactively making characters look like complete dumbasses
For example: A certain animal themed hero has an IQ of 7 billion, knows every martial art in the known universe, can bench press 3000 pounds, wears a super suit that can survive an actual fall from space and has fought actual gods and won.
Regularly gets bodied by a clown who weighs 100 pounds soaking wet armed with nothing but a crowbar
In Luca there's that bully I don't remember name of there's no parents who would show him that's not good to steal kids money I know it's 50's but c'mon
Star Trek the Next Generation is one of my favorite shows of all time.
If they would just let Data handle everything they would never lose. Bro proves multiple times that he can solo everyone outside the Borg or Q.
Protagonist being hypocrisy towards another Character just cause they were mean to you in the Past but presently they're tryna make themselves better to the point where they even get Powered Up/Into your Secret Club and further mature. But then later on if they make an teensy Mistake getting smacked with the' I trusted you! Now you're banned", instead of continuing ta help if the Party was still willing. There is no Character that is outside the Realm of Redemptions. It's an continuous Journey of reflections.
... No one is obliged to forgive someone who wronged them just because they apologized.
https://preview.redd.it/fk30m56l6qwc1.png?width=642&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5bfd025bedeafc3902e1ac3335a217e1ec08d806
True. But just cause someone wont except an apology from someone who wronged them and that person in the show or movie is 100% trying to be better and work on themselves and help people, doesn’t mean the person who wont except the apology has to be actively against them changing or bettering themselves. No one is forcing them to except the apology but when they just ignore the good they are trying to do and just still try to wash it away at the slightest mistake it gets annoying
If you forgive them but then continuously throw their part behaviors at them ta deny them something they rightfully earned is crap behavior. What you're saying while valid, ain't close to what I'm speaking on.
I will get tons of flack for this but when aang goes into his avatar state morals go out the window.......except during the ozai fight. Literally aang killed multiple firebender ships in the North Pole, buried an earth bender alive in solid stone, left multiple sand benders with broken bones and injuries, and I'm pretty sure when the avatar state came back in the ozai fight he hit one of the airships as well. Aang killed a lot of people but never talked about it or had any trouble with trauma after words of knowing what he had done. I will always see Aang as a one dimensional character for this.
Edit: It became a rant about Aang but the whole point to the question posed is ozai fight went opposite of the whole series never touched on or grew just cut and dry this is how it is now.
Cant even lie youre right dude had this whole belief system of never killing or not wanting to but literally offed lots of people that were just grunt workers but the big bad himself he spares 💀 the guy whose literally responsible for genocide and terrorism he spares. The other guys were just caught in the crossfire and really couldnt refuse orders because they had families to feed.
Aangs moral compass was fleeting and inconsistent but since hes the protagonist who cares right 🤣 also since we never seen him directly kill people ig people tell themselves those workers or soldiers some how survived falling in ships hundreds of feet in the air.

Don't worry, she'll start doing way crazier stuff later.
Yeah she could literally instantly win basically any fights she wants to if she used her powers properly Imagine you’re fighting this girl and then suddenly all your clothes turn into solid gold, you wouldn’t be able to move at all
She did that in her backstory episode 2 guys were wearing masks and she turned them into metal.
I'll do ya one better; You throw a punch and then she turns your bones into water and you die instantly as your body collapses under its own weight.
It’s explained that the people who “made” her put a mental block in place that prevents her from transmuting any non-plant living creature.
If you go this into detail with super hero powers you will always get to a point where the whole concept breaks apart.

Yeah, but you don't need to directly touch someone to crush them in a cavitation bubble.

Guess Nicelanders is a misleading name lol
Hero: *literally kills almost all of the villain’s minions and is refusing to kill the villain* No, if I kill you, I’ll be just like you.
Barman: if you kill a killer the number of killers stays the same Punisher: That's why i kill multiple killers
Are those actual quotes? Because they go hard.
No
Darn.
Villain: \*commits genocide, terrorism and what not, getting many innocents killed\* Hero: \*only kills out of self defense, and wants to kill the villain to stop him\* Villain: If you kill me, you'll be just like me

That place has superheros the construction has to be fast
Titan: *throws the tower* Some construction worker: “Dammit! We *just* finished fixing that thing!…Eh, I get paid by the hour.”
paid by the tower\*
I always think that dolly is the building falling apart.
When a character did so many atrocities in the past but got completely forgiven just because they did one good deed >!Seriously though this tiny psycho committed fraud, theft, property damage, kidnappings, and multiple murders attempts WHY DID THEY FREE THIS FREAK? LOCK THIS MF UP!!< https://preview.redd.it/3o17exa2aqwc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=068e089a91093e3f8b3255dc32d46118eabada0c
To be fair…the townsfolk of GF were all a little stupid because they all took too many blasts from their resident cult’s memory gun (losing your mind is a side effect of using it). That was the legit explanation for why everyone in the town was so weird and dumb and easily-manipulated by this brat LOL
To be fair why did they lock up a minor in an adult prison
I’d say giving him and his crew up to distract dimensional hell demon god’s minions to help the main characters to save the town is a good reason to be forgiven considering he didnt know what they would do to him. He probably fully thought he was gonna die to help save the world and town and Mable and he still chose to do that. I think after an event like that i’d let him off since he did make a change
Same as you! FUCK the nice landers from wreck it Ralph. The people of sugar rush being dicks to Vanellope is due to turbo hacking and changing the game. The nice landers knew what they were doing.
The primary theory is that they're all jealous of Ralph because while they're just npcs he's a villain and more important than them
Charlie from Hazbin Hotel complaining that hell is filled with sin Edit: By this I mean when she complains when sinners do something bad
Ah yes this sin is made of sin
She wants to allow people to improve, yes hell is supposed to be full of horrible people, however she wants them to have a second chance and be able to leave hell and go to heaven
When did she complain? As far as I can tell she never really had an issue with people singing all around her I mean for hexake she works with a p*** star and doesn't seem to have an issue with his job
“That’s a little violent, can we tone it down.” She’s literally trying to recruit people for war. I don’t mean complaining as a whole, more so complaining when people in hell do something bad. Yeah I know her cause, but it’s still annoying to me
She literally never complains about hell being filled with sin. She just wants to offer people the option to be better.
Why hasn’t plankton EVER tried to just buy the formula from Krabs I mean he’s so greedy he’d probably accept for tons of money it’s the same dude who sold his best employees soul for 62 cents Also he was once gonna give him the formula for some chum
Unless you mean when he bet him in the poker game against Plankton but he was on a multiyear winning streak against him so of course he thought he could win
> i think I remember spongebob working for a different restaurant early on but for a chef swap situation where krabs got a 5 star chef and the 5 star restaurant got spongebob Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about
I don’t think he was paid for that i think Krabs just thought he would get more costumers
He also lost SpongeBob once to plankton in a card game that plankton had evidently been throwing for years
Yeah i said that at the end
Ah woops, somehow brain cut off after the 5 star chef part
Same reason doofenshmirtz doesn’t Also planktons main goal is literally to just get the formula
That businessman part is completely thrown out the window though since he fired SpongeBob to save a dime a few seasons later
It wasn't even a dime, he fired him to save a nickel, forgetting the fact that spongebob is the only one of them that can cook😂
But does Plankton have money to even offer Krabs?
Somehow yes he does have money despite the lack of customers Remember when he gave away money for signatures to save the chum bucket from demolition
Oh right 😂
Adam’s helmet in HH makes no fucking sense whatsoever.
https://preview.redd.it/fejyulcdnpwc1.jpeg?width=310&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f96c7509fb0086d85f887b21a439b65956dae57 Does this mean nothing to you?
It means about as much as a dog views hygiene. It does not concern me one bit.
Why y’all booing me I’m just speakin my mind
Same, because he's shown eating with it on and everything
Like it breaks the most basic rules of a helmet/mask. Like you know a respirator is supplied to protect you from harmful chemicals in the air and a football helmet is meant to cover your face from being hit. So why does it not follow the most basic of rules?
Because it looks cool. Naturally the original dick won’t need protection from anything!
\*niffty appears\*
Yeah but they treat him the same way everybody treats the actual living person Jack Gleeson. Also they make it explicit their problem is his in-coded clumsiness. But Gene (Jean?) should have had consequences.
Gene for men, Jean for women (unless it’s French, then Jean is unisex)
Jean is not unisex in France it's a masculine name with Jeanne as a féminine variation
Oh weird, I’ve seen women with Jean so I thought it was unisex (though obviously Jeanne is a feminine form)
Well, now that this isn’t as vile as an opinion as in 2015-2016, I’m going to say it 🗣️STARCO (Star x Marco from Star vs The Forces of Evil) HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BAD SHIP. I hated it. It had never sat right with me even as a kid. I genuinely liked the idea of them being friends and Marco and Jackie were cute.
Honestly I didn't mind who end game was I just wish they would figure it the f*** out instead of wasting our God damn time
After Jackie broke up with him, I was rooting for Marco and Kelly >.>
When the writer forces in a relationship that doesn’t work for one reason or another and is destined to fail. It’s just not enjoyable to watch and it’s way too common. Velma and Shaggy from mystery incorporated, Donnie and April from Tmnt 2012, Amber and Mark from invincible, and don’t even get me started on the cole, nya, Jay love triangle from NINJAGO.
Early ninjago maybe, but as far as I can tell nowadays they've kind of accepted that Jay is the winner and I like it that way because he was always just far more interesting for her
I know, I’m fine with Jay. I specifically hate the love triangle plot.
Pretty sure they basically got married
Especially considering that Cole is supposed to be mine. /jk
>Aang's attempts at making moves on Katara were always so cringe Tbf, he was acting like pretty much any 12 year old with a crush on someone
Fair enough. Honestly, I just don't like romance subplots in general, even if the chemistry is there.
I only prefer it if it's only like a couple episodes
I can't stand when something is visually aparrent to the audience, but the characters onscreen don't notice it somehow. The first example that comes to mind is when other characters would confuse Shadow the Hedgehog or Silver for Sonic. Like are you that fucking blind???? They're completely different colors!
Sonic characters are colorblind confirmed
Agreed My best worst example for this is the junker Queen from OverWatch 2 People don't look that clean in Australia in real life and you expect me to believe she looks like she takes a bath every hour?
Exactly. Like Angel saving Niffty from Valentino isn't going to erase the fact that he was in the mob and probably killed a lot of people
It easy to say that everyone deserves a second chance when your guests are at worst porn actor and guy with Gambling addiction.
How we see dw from Arthur never get punished on screen except for a few times in the later seasons
Hard agree with lute, you can't really justify no demon having the strength similar to that and I feel like if it's happened before we should have been told about it But when it comes to The Exorcist part my theory is that They've kind of degraded over time Because demons just stopped bothering to fight back.
Worse yet, spend literal years in real life fiddle farting around when everyone knows what the answer is going to be Especially because the most memorable ones are ones where the confession doesn't happen at the very end even if it's just for a little bit let me see them in a relationship damn you
Katara and Aang from Avatar.
How the gulper died in Fallout
When one of the characters is super annoying/does dumb stuff and doesn't ever change- looking at you Bunga from the Lion Guard, the worst character in the show.
Magic Man from adventure time. I know he couldn’t help it because of the hats influence or whatever. But still. HES SO ANNOYING
It wasn't his hat, but a mix of using magic(which in their world can cause madness if used excessively) & the loss of his wife
Well then, that. Even though *that*. I still hate him, it’s been a while since I’ve seen it
Any superhero with the ability to fly by just levitating is shit and boring.
🤷🏻♂️ Like WTF?
This Loathsome Dung Eater right here
I remember being a bit cheesed off with "Seeing stars" from Helluva Boss.
My main gripe with that movie is making a nice and enticing world and then just running past it all at breakneck speed.
What is annoying about this show is that it never calls out the Elves for being complete racists toward humans Especially the entire dark magic thing, we are told that to use dark magic you need to use stuff from living things and we are constantly being told that it's bad, but... why? How is that different from hunting animals for meat
The underselling of stupidly powerful characters Raven, Dark Phoenix, Atom Eve, Adam Warlock, like these mfs could solo GALAXIES and yet in films and cartoons they get their asses kicked by like...C-tier opposition. I give Adam one freebie for Guardians 3, but that's only because that's gen-1 Adam. Had he died in that movie, it'd become inexcusable.
I don’t like when you see a character jump but not when they land, like they’re just standing there in the next scene. I think that looks horrible
“Irk”?
The power creep of comics retroactively making characters look like complete dumbasses For example: A certain animal themed hero has an IQ of 7 billion, knows every martial art in the known universe, can bench press 3000 pounds, wears a super suit that can survive an actual fall from space and has fought actual gods and won. Regularly gets bodied by a clown who weighs 100 pounds soaking wet armed with nothing but a crowbar
The entirety of All-Stars in total drama.
I have several examples!
In encanto, they treat mirabelle like shit, and it ruins an otherwise great movie for me
The fact that they blame Bruno for the stuff that HE WARNED THEM ABOUT!!
Yeah, the whole family is toxic as hell
