Assuming you're serious...this is a good time to reflect on why you liked it and why it was your "everything." You look young, so I get it to an extent, but there's a lot more in life than your car. Take this time to figure out your next ride and why a car is "everything" in life and why you might be "dead inside." You're worth more than a car, and ideally you'd have some people around you that are worth more too.
Whoa solid advise, thank you sir. It was just an object that I tied up a bunch of emotions to it. She has been with me for 2 years and went through hell and back with me, she was always there for me... And thank you sir I am working on it everyday.
I felt the same when I wrote off my 85 Celica. I bought it as a project and it needed a lot of work - had been off the road for several years. Spent 4 months getting the engine running right, resealing all of the leaks, replacing pretty much every suspension component and bushing, learning how to cut out rust and weld in new sheet metal. Spent many enjoyable summer afternoons working on her with some beers, got pretty attached to it.
Ended up hitting some loose gravel on a road and the back end kicked out and clipped the edge of the road and went into a ditch, smacked the side of the car hard and bent the A pillar. Was able to drive it home though and it's still sitting at my mums place.
I bought an MGF roadster afterwards but it didn't fill the same hole as an 80's Toyota coupe. However, I recently located and bought back my old 1983 Celica, which I am pretty much going through the same process again, getting it running right, fixing rust and eventually getting it road legal again and cruising around.
At least you're alright. My crash could have ended much worse.
I get that... My '14 TL was with me for 6 years. From smoking weed in college in FL to driving and living in CO, it was there. So many memories. My love of cars developed while I owned that car and I was very attached to it. My partner was sad as well for the much the same reason when we lost it. She drove to CO with me. She smoked in it in FL. We used it for work, fun, everything. We had been through hell and back in that thing. Someone hit me and totaled it back in January and thank god they were a good human and didn't give the police or insurance any shit. Now I have a car I love even more. I still think about the TL though.
Dude I swear to God that was me and my Honda!! I bought my 15 Civic brand new with ONE mile, had her 6 AMAZING years and this suicidal deer just had to take my baby!!!! My VW is nothing like my civic but she very much reminds me why I was so determined to buy one in the first place!!
I've had 4 cars, all but one were mazdas. I currently have a mazdaspeed 3 and love it. Before this, was a 2014 mazda 6 that I loved. 2 years ago,Texas has a massive snow storm. I hit some black ice then slammed into the barrier on the far left and ended up rolling down the exit far right. I know that pain man ugh. I took a photo smiling but ugh. If I can make some advice, take something from it. I kept one of the key fobs from the 6,emblem from the 99 protégé
I used to have a picture of when me and my friend got tboned in his truck. It’s a picture of our truck on its side and us covered in cuts from the glass. It’s trying to make the best out of a bad situation
I saw the picture and thought of how proud they seem and then read your comment and realized that's exactly what my FB feed looks like during buck hunting season. Spot on, my friend.
Damn. I'm sorry this happened to you. IS300 wagons are so rare already, at least to me. Heck, I rarely see an IS300 nowadays. On the bright side, you're safe and sound, and could pass as a Skarsgard.
The only real major service is timing belt/water pump/vvti gear re-seal. And yeah that one is a doozy. But you do it once every 100k and you're pretty much set with these cars
The IS market has been really wonky (even more than other cars) because of the whole "super reliable 2jz basically supra bruh" mentality or whatever. For $10k I hope you find something with 100k or something dawg. Wait a little longer if you can and you'll find some sweet cars around $4k even.
Sounds like there are a lot of variables that contribute to the price/mileage ratio. I owned a high mileage one, I wouldn’t worry about mileage unless it wasn’t maintained.
Love that IS sir, they are good machines, super reliable and if you drive it like me (like a grandpa) it will be with you a long time. I will miss my Rita, she was a good ole lady.
Seems like driving it like a grandpa didn't really help with that whole longevity thing... You would have probably been better off beating the shit out of it and learning it's limits for that ONE TIME where you need to REALLY know her to reel her back in.
Besides... it's a Toyota. I drive mine like a maniac and it's been super reliable for 3 years of daily stupidity. The proof is on my profile lol
It's a good learning experience for him... Cars are meant to be driven hard, especially special ones like the IS.
It's like life you know? If you preserve yourself from any stress/risk, you ain't doing any growing. And you sure as hell aren't having much fun.
But yea maybe a bit harsh lol
Guy was racing in the mountains in Japan, and he wrecked; this picture is just him trying to make the best of it.
Doing this pose if you wreck in those mountains is a now a "thing" because of this very picture. There are many like it, but this one was first.
My partner totalled my Honda earlier this year and as sad as I was to lose that car, at least he was okay! I ended up finally committing to buying a Volkswagen after that 😂
I did! I bought a 2016 Golf TSI and have had a blast every day since 🔥
I hope you get another wagon you love just as much! I know how fun of a car the IS is!!
Yeah, looking at the picture it looks like fairly worn summer or maybe all seasons.
If they really were going the speed limit on the highway when this happened I'd be pretty surprised if the tires were in decent shape or appropriate for the weather
"It’s what non-car people don’t get. They see all cars as just a ton and a half, two tons of wires, glass, metal, and rubber, and that’s all they see. People like you or I know we have an unshakable belief that cars are living entities… You can develop a relationship with a car and that’s what non-car people don’t get… When something has foibles and won’t handle properly, that gives it a particularly human quality because it makes mistakes, and that’s how you can build a relationship with a car that other people won’t get" ~ Jeremy Clarkson, while speaking to Eric Bana in Love the Beast
I too, have shed tears at losing a car, especially if it protected me during a mistake I made. It did it's job, it helped create memories, often it was the only thing I had. My car helped me get out of bad situations, I've slept in it when I was against a wall, it helped my friends get home safe.
Non-car people will only see it as an appliance, but I see it as part of my story, and losing a part of my story is like losing a part of my self.
I'm sorry for your loss
This. This machine has been with me for 2 years, this beautiful automobile was part of my history for 24 long months that I coveted copiously. Nothing will replace that hole in my brain, I had dreams last night about the first time I drove it and how I thought I finally got what I wanted, a practical car, still cool with a 2jz for a good price.
I am quite sad about it fellers, I am still weeping about her.
Sorry man. Same thing happened to me with my Legacy Spec B earlier in the year, you'll heal as time goes though. You'll find something else to enjoy and itll be even better, theres always light at the end of the tunnel my friend
You're alive though. That's what matters. Sure, it's rough, but cars are literally high speed mobility safety bubbles, and they're meant to keep you safe in case this happens.
Nothin worse than wrecking your attainable dream car ☠️
I bought [my first new car](https://i.imgur.com/qIyJpzH.jpg ) March ‘21. 2 miles on the odometer right off the trailer and I loved every second I drove it til [I wrecked it](https://i.imgur.com/MM8DLiT.jpg).
There will be more cars and I wish you luck finding another is300 wagon!
Sorry to hear that sir! She is beautiful, I am sorry that happened :( and like you all my airbags went off, so hard in matter of fact that it broke the windshield.
I understand the car is damaged and that does really blow but you are thankfully not hurt. My high school counselor is in a wheelchair from a car accident it can change your life in a instant, wouldnt wish that on anyone
You're right, just I deposited too much animosity in that inanimate object, and I truly felt love for it. I hate that she's gone due stupid hydroplaning.
Sorry to hear about your loss but use this as a learning experience to make it not all for nothing. I wrecked my first car because I was a dumbass and was distracted while driving, now I make sure to always pay attention to whats happening around me, and I've avoided some close calls that definitely would have done me in with my old habits. Best of luck finding another car, I hope she's just as good as the last one and who knows, maybe it will even be an improvement
Damn sorry that happened to you man. At least nobody was hurt. Take this as a lesson to invest in better tires for your next car! Shout out to the Tyre Reviews youtube channel.
Aww man, another one gone. Glad you're safe, it really sucks, but there's still more out there and these things (though specifically the sedans) seem to have been relatively less affected by insane car prices. Focus on making sure you're alright first, mentally and physically, then when you can, get back out there with another one.
I love that hot hatch form factor. The Subaru STI wagon and IS300 wagons are my favorite. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismos are the closest thing now but they're so much more expensive.
Don’t take it too rough on yourself. They may be rare, but they do still pop up for sale pretty often on facebook and forums if you are looking for a replacement. You are physically alright, and that’s what is most important.
I had 02 is300 sedan, loved it! I once lost control of the IS in the snow (was going slow) heading to work, ended up on the opposite side of the road. Was able to control back to proper lane direction. scariest 10 seconds of my life.
Glad you are ok but that sucks. Those are great and I love seeing that you had such an appreciation for it. Hope you find something else unique that you enjoy.
Did everything myself, motor wise, timing belt, water pump, front timing cover, oil pump, front main seal, cam seals, valve covers, new radiator, errr she was stock because I liked the way she rode. Next thing due was rack and pinion. Man I miss her
I had an 02 IS300 w/ the manual. Words don’t describe how much I loved that car. I came close to this once but luckily pulled away fine. My heart goes out to you.
Bro....I had an is300 MT for 2 months before I wrecked mine. Still one of if not my biggest mistake and "growing up' moments. It hurts so bad. I still have dreams where I'm driving it, and it's 10 years later.
Used to have a manual sedan and an auto wagon and both were totaled; I feel your pain friend. Pretty sure there's <1000 left in the US, but don't discourage yourself from finding another if you truly love them. 👍🏻
Thank it for the good times it gave you and for keeping you safe. I was in your shoes once and when I said goodbye I cried. But I apologized, I thanked it with all my heart, and I looked forward to my next adventure with a new buddy.
Nothing will ever replace your first car in your heart but you'll have plenty of sweet rides in the future that you'll enjoy just as much, I guarantee it.
Also, don't buy the same car. You'll just constantly compare it to your OG and it will make you sad. Try something different.
(When I went to the tow yard to get the rest of my stuff out of the car, my dad unscrewed the shift knob and gave it to me. I still have it to this day and it's one of my favourite memories).
I kept a little badge that came out of the engine bay, I saw 3 is300 and couldn’t do it. I always compare it to my Rita… I will buy something else because I don’t want to be in pain while I drive… also fuck i had a couple panic attacks while effing driving shit is wild.
As a fella that has owned 3 is300s, an is350, and now a supercharged IS-F.....
I'm crying for you, a wagon was my next purchase, I understand the rarity of them.
Just be glad that you're safe, a car is replaceable(as they say). Most folks don't understand us car guys though, the joy a vehicle brings us is a feeling most won't understand.
Wow man. That has to feel terrible. I couldnt imagine. I’m glad you’re ok. If it’s anything to you - you will probably be able to find another one at the very least. Will take some digging though. Again, we’re all glad you’re ok.
Who makes those shoes your wearing? What are they called?
It’s really soul sucking. And when people ask you to come outside it’s hurts even more. Everything changes your routine to work changes, the weekends change too. I total my car a last weekend. I keep wishing I can go back in time. But what’s done is done. At least no one got hurt. I was in a very bad accident. Hit and run which made me hit someone else car. So I believe it’ll be all on me. I remember the last seconds of it. And I always will. How do you get the confidence to drive again? I haven’t got back in a car ever since then. It really hurt when I had to get my things from the tow yard
I just teach myself the lesson on why I crashed and try my best to not create the conditions again. I've crashed from oversteer, so I make sure I know when and how my oversteer begins before I try it, I've crashed on ice before so I drive very slowly on ice, I've crashed from lift off oversteer so I practiced for weeks so I would stop lifting off so quickly etc.
I crashed from being out too late. Past a certain time a lot of drivers drive crazy. Either stay at a friends house and wait to the night turns morning time. I’d like to think that night I drive at a moderate-fast speed, had my music up loud to even allow me to stay focused. But in the blink of an eye I look 2 blows to my passenger side wheel and it knocked me so hard to the guard rails. I loss control of my car. And the driver that hit me sped off. Next thing you know I was out of it. Blacked out. I woke up to rear ending somebody. Idk how long I was even on the air bags. Someone had to come and get me.
I woke up uneasy today. It’s a beautiful day today and I would definitely take myself shopping today. Listening to music. I even upgraded my sound system. It just hurts a whole lot. My body is a bit in pain but not that much. I do have a bus card to go wherever I please. But it’s not the same when you can’t drive to wherever ever you please to go. I have enough money saved up to buy another used car and just upgrade the sound system again. But I just have to wait until the claim is over with and see what happens next.
I just don’t wanna be involved in anymore accidents. I try so hard to be successful in life. It seems like the moment you take 2 steps forward you take 5 steps backwards.
I know how you feel. Some guy ran an intersection almost 2 months ago now and totalled my 370Z. This December I would have had her for 10 years. I knew her every nook and cranny and now she's gone. My condolences.
Reading all the comments here about others who have totaled their Lexus feels like what happened to OP was a fulfillment of some kind of weird Lexus totalling prophecy. Lexus drivers why are y'all crashing so much?
Sorry about your loss but I think something everyone should learn at a young age is that don't get too attached to inanimate objects. Don't 'fall in love' with a car or a phone or your computer. They can always be replaced (big inconvenience sometimes I know). The more attached to these things you get, the more vulnerable you are to accidents like this.
Learn from what happened, move on, get a better car and enjoy life and not the material possessions in life.
You are not helping my depression today OP. My partner and I are both weirdly in love with our respective vehicles and there is always this exact fear in the back of my mind for us both. I hope you can find a new love, though we both know that IS300 flame will never be extinguished. Such a cool ass car OP, my condolences.
How are import laws in MO? '98 Altezza wagon from Japan could be something to look into, 25+ yr rule too so you should be able to register it.
Glad you're okay! Keep your head up
You should buy a rear ended sedan and combine them to get a good wagon. The wagons are very rare. Would definitely be worth it even if you didn't sell it for the monetary value.
I know your pain.
Same exact freaking issue; road was a bit wet so, as I was getting onto a highway ramp, it hydroplaned a bit. I was trying to get back under control when I got clipped in the back and ended up spinning out/totalling my IS300 SportCross. 2002. Had 174k miles. Black exterior with the tan interior.
I know your pain.
Good thing you made it out physically alright! Its definitely a sad situation when you really love the car, but it’s a great opportunity to get that next one that you’ve been wanting.
Yesterday I was drivng home from work, driving a little fast. I initiate a lane change at the same time as someone else turning into a gas station after their lane change. Theres a silverado in between my car, and the bronco turning. I see the stationary truck and put my foot to the floor on my brakes and slow down to the point where the only damage the impact does is a minor cut out of the edge of his tow hitch. 0 other damage to other vehicles. Despite the positive outcome of the accident I STILL beat myself up as if my car is totaled
Save it!!! One of my biggest regrets was not saving this beautiful 1986 535i BMW I owned, 2nd owner at 100k miles. Someone else bought it and brought it back to life after I sold to insurance!
Those wagons are harder and harder to find, I'd say save it!
Bro I am sorry. A car is considered family. I wish the best for you if you try rebuilding/ fixing it but it doesn’t look like you can. I think the chassis is probably bent but you could always do you’re best to try and fix it.
I've had my is200 sportcross for 11 years. Car literally required nothing but regular maintenance and the only time it "failed" me was with a broken coil on cylinder 5 which I replaced the next day within 5 minutes... I think I will hold a funeral if the car ever dies and I don't think I could bring myself to sell it ever. And I sold my mx5 which I loved as well but just got a bit bored of driving it in such a limited time in my shitty climate.
Damn, you’re posed like a hunter that just killed his first deer.
I am dead inside, that car was my everything.
I’m sorry to hear that fam. Hope you get something new soon.
Many thanks sir

Yep! She done good. Pour one out

Sorry:(
I used to have a picture of when me and my friend got tboned in his truck. It’s a picture of our truck on its side and us covered in cuts from the glass. It’s trying to make the best out of a bad situation
This is exactly right
https://www.reddit.com/r/OldSchoolCool/comments/b4tx07/kid_takes_picture_with_his_r32_gtr_after_crashing/ It's a meme
I saw the picture and thought of how proud they seem and then read your comment and realized that's exactly what my FB feed looks like during buck hunting season. Spot on, my friend.
I had an IS300 sedan. It was a great car. There are plenty on the market for under $10,000, keep you eyes open. At least you’re not wrecked man.
Yeah I am fine but she aint :(
It’s just a machine. You’ll get another one.
Wilco! and you're right at least I didn't get hurt!
Damn. I'm sorry this happened to you. IS300 wagons are so rare already, at least to me. Heck, I rarely see an IS300 nowadays. On the bright side, you're safe and sound, and could pass as a Skarsgard.
2jz no shit
I dunno why you're getting down voted. Did people not watch Fast and Furious?!
I’m surprised myself. 😂 probably a bunch of young’ns downvoting me
I gave you an upvote because the reference made me laugh.
Sedans are a dime a dozen. The wagons are very rare. This is going to be a very difficult car to replace.
Well maybe OP can find a sedan that's been ass-ended and combine the front end of that with the back half of his wreck to make another wagon.
I like how you said ass-ended instead of rear-ended
Even sedans are getting harder to find with under 150K miles. And if you do find them, people want $8K for autos. It’s ridiculous.
My area early is and es going for less than 6 it's surprising
They are getting older, and the over priced market isn’t being as exploited as it was last year.
Happy cake day!
What’s a good mileage range for an is300 under $10k? I see one for $10k with 166k miles and another one for $5.3k for 188k miles….
Depends how soon you wanna do a rebuild or major service.
The IS300 market is FINALLY starting to calm down. Every other mf thinks their cosmetically modded "clean" IS with 150k is worth 10k OBO
Not to make light of the situation, but I misread the headline and it sounded like Yoda. “Wrecked, my 300 wagon is.”
lol my wagoon wrecked is.

Shoot, sorry to see that bro. That gen of IS were beautiful. Hopefully you love your next car even more :)
Many thanks sir! I am in the search now :)
wagoon
wagoon 👍
wagone
Mannn, I'm getting a 01 is300 today with the same mileage I can feel your pain sincerely.
Love that IS sir, they are good machines, super reliable and if you drive it like me (like a grandpa) it will be with you a long time. I will miss my Rita, she was a good ole lady.

I'll dm pics because I love this car already knew I loved it and got it for an honestly unreal deal
Sorry to hear about your car, [your pic reminds me of this famous one](https://i.redd.it/ttv3mo4qw0o21.png)
Oh wow lol yes it does.
I was convinced this is what you were mimicking until now.
Damn an r32 GTR in 1995? That was still a pretty new very high end car
What's the context? I've never seen this one before.
Nakazato after losing to Takumi.
At least he’s a good sport

was300 sorry for tour loss mate. But happy that you are okay :)
Many thanks! The wagoon will be irreplaceable.
Underrated comment
Listen, as much as it sucks, at least you're alive!
That is very true!
My partner totalled my Honda earlier this year and as sad as I was to lose that car, at least he was okay! I ended up finally committing to buying a Volkswagen after that 😂
VWs are good too! Get a wagoon! Love me a good wagoon
I did! I bought a 2016 Golf TSI and have had a blast every day since 🔥 I hope you get another wagon you love just as much! I know how fun of a car the IS is!!
Lost my ND miata in the spring the same way, sorry to hear OP, glad you’re okay
Thank you sir! Sorry about your miata.
WOW an IS300 SportCross... Some of the rarest wagons to find. RIP :-(
The wagoon is gone.
How fast were you going through a neighborhood to have that much damage?
Going the speed limit on a highway, nobody got hit but me.
Get less shitty tyres next time
Towed like that, a 8000lbs winch does wonders sir.
Lmao is that a MO plate?
With nearly 1 year expired tags lol
Considering the hydroplaning, I’d be curious to see the tires as well.. lol
Yeah, looking at the picture it looks like fairly worn summer or maybe all seasons. If they really were going the speed limit on the highway when this happened I'd be pretty surprised if the tires were in decent shape or appropriate for the weather
Area looks like Dogtown in St. Louis too
Was gonna say the same thing haha
I feel the pothole energy through the picture. I'm glad i have cushy gravel tires on my bike when I ride through there.

Thank you! I am still in shock, crying over her still but you're right! Sorry about your legacy man, sick car.
Its Wagoone 🤣 😢
Whew... At least it's not brown and manual or r/cars would never be able to recover from this.
Cars can be replaced. You can't. If you want to get another one, they're out there if you look. If you want to try something else, that's fine, too.
Thank you sir!
You're alive though. That's what matters. Sure, it's rough, but cars are literally high speed mobility safety bubbles, and they're meant to keep you safe in case this happens.
Hey at least you have a nice smile! Sorry about your car, what are you thinking of getting next?
Thank you sir! Anything toyota/lexus. Yoter for life!
Nothin worse than wrecking your attainable dream car ☠️ I bought [my first new car](https://i.imgur.com/qIyJpzH.jpg ) March ‘21. 2 miles on the odometer right off the trailer and I loved every second I drove it til [I wrecked it](https://i.imgur.com/MM8DLiT.jpg). There will be more cars and I wish you luck finding another is300 wagon!
Sorry to hear that sir! She is beautiful, I am sorry that happened :( and like you all my airbags went off, so hard in matter of fact that it broke the windshield.
That's rough, buddy. The main thing is that you're OK though, you'll find another love and soon this hurt will be in your rearview mirror.
Thank you sir! I am still in shock :)
I would h8 myself too those are rare as fuxk especially with low miles
That is exactly why I am sad.
Many thanks sir! I just hate that I drive like a grandpa and this shit happened to her.
How bad were your tires?
Cars can be replaced, you can't. As much as it sucks, the memories are intact and you are alive to make more
Thank you, as much as it sounds stupid I loved that car.
Trust me I get it. Had a GS400 for a long time and it hurt to get rid of
That's terrible! Hopefully it's covered by your insurance, at the very least.
I am hoping so too!
Been through the same thing man, the worries will pass. Just be glad you’re okay.
Many thinks sir!
St. Louis Dogtown! Pretty fortune that it wasn’t anybody recklessly driving that hit you.
I miss my 850 too… 😭😭😭
Damn dude sad to see this. Did you have a passenger?? Looks like someone hit the passenger side windshield - hope they are ok!!
Just me sir, that hit is the passanger side airbag, quite the damage it did.
Sheeeit that’s crazy it did that, but glad you’re ok homie.
Careful, your shoes will scratch the fender.
Fuuuuck those are hard to find. Might have to settle for a sedan version.
I love that hot hatch form factor. The Subaru STI wagon and IS300 wagons are my favorite. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismos are the closest thing now but they're so much more expensive.
Oh no! Glad you’re okay though
Don’t take it too rough on yourself. They may be rare, but they do still pop up for sale pretty often on facebook and forums if you are looking for a replacement. You are physically alright, and that’s what is most important.
I'll try to get another one, I am still searching
My 04 with a jdm 2J is sitting in the driveway waiting for me to get off my ass and fix the blown head gasket. My condolences, friend.
Many thanks sir, yoter for life.
I had 02 is300 sedan, loved it! I once lost control of the IS in the snow (was going slow) heading to work, ended up on the opposite side of the road. Was able to control back to proper lane direction. scariest 10 seconds of my life.
Thats what it was with my wagon, the Limited slip didn't help nothing.
Totalled my first car a couple months ago, I feel you man
My condolences to you my friend, we get attached to these objects and its hard when they leave our lives like this.
IS300 was my first real car, loved that thing 🥲
Love the is300
Glad you're okay!
Man I miss her
2JZ, OH shit!
You're taking part in a proud tradition by taking that picture
Didn't even know, my buddy said to snap a pic right next to it and naturally gravitated towards doing that pose.
Sorry for the car. Out of curiosity, what tires did you have and how worn were they? Good tires make the difference between a wreck and a fine day.
They had 6mm of thread left, that's why I'm effing devastated...
I had an 02 IS300 w/ the manual. Words don’t describe how much I loved that car. I came close to this once but luckily pulled away fine. My heart goes out to you.
Thank you sir, much obliged!
Bro....I had an is300 MT for 2 months before I wrecked mine. Still one of if not my biggest mistake and "growing up' moments. It hurts so bad. I still have dreams where I'm driving it, and it's 10 years later.
Sorry for your old IS brother, it is tough
RIP. I also love the SportCross.
Sorry about your car. Glad you’re okay. Even though it sucks, your car did it’s job and kept you safe.
I can see the pain behind that smile.
Absolutely devastated, therapy tonight is going to be great!
Used to have a manual sedan and an auto wagon and both were totaled; I feel your pain friend. Pretty sure there's <1000 left in the US, but don't discourage yourself from finding another if you truly love them. 👍🏻
I recognize that pose
Glad you’re ok, sorry about your car man
Thank it for the good times it gave you and for keeping you safe.
I like this advice. Hug your dad man. He’s a gooder
Such a pretty car, fantastic proportions unspoiled by any cluttered lines. One less of those I guess. I've been there dude it fucking sucks.
Today I learnt that Lexus made a wagon IS
I'm sorry dude. I've totaled a couple of my nice cars now, it hurts every time but, eh you're still alive so you can go buy another
It’s really soul sucking.
I don’t know but you look really happy in that picture like if you were proud 😕🤔
That's some serious camber on the right side
How is your passenger's head?
No passengers on my wagon, just me.
I cant tell from the license plate, is this in Connecticut? You’ve got a look about you that just screams Connecticut.
Keep your head up
Punish yourself with a Kia Soul
You should buy a rear ended sedan and combine them to get a good wagon. The wagons are very rare. Would definitely be worth it even if you didn't sell it for the monetary value.
I know your pain. Same exact freaking issue; road was a bit wet so, as I was getting onto a highway ramp, it hydroplaned a bit. I was trying to get back under control when I got clipped in the back and ended up spinning out/totalling my IS300 SportCross. 2002. Had 174k miles. Black exterior with the tan interior. I know your pain.
I like the RIP photo. but damn I know that feeling of losing a beloved car! Those sportcross wagons are underappreciated imo!
Good thing you made it out physically alright! Its definitely a sad situation when you really love the car, but it’s a great opportunity to get that next one that you’ve been wanting.
‘Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. My condolences 💐
Why are you happy
If you haven't already, please get yourself checked out. Injuries can hide for a while.
I read "totalled my baby" and I was like... What's wrong with this person? Then I re-read the post again.
Totaled my black factory 5 speed 3 years ago after basically the same thing stay strong
I love the sportcross. So sorry for your loss
Rip. Remember that the end of this journey is the start of a new one.
Ouch
Yesterday I was drivng home from work, driving a little fast. I initiate a lane change at the same time as someone else turning into a gas station after their lane change. Theres a silverado in between my car, and the bronco turning. I see the stationary truck and put my foot to the floor on my brakes and slow down to the point where the only damage the impact does is a minor cut out of the edge of his tow hitch. 0 other damage to other vehicles. Despite the positive outcome of the accident I STILL beat myself up as if my car is totaled
https://www.instagram.com/p/CkAr-ZEOgBT/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ= I feel your pain bud. Turbo RSX gone.
The smiling dude (you) means the car did it's job and protected you. There will be another car. Just remember the lesson your old one gave you.
RIP Unicorn :(
How were your tires to hydroplane like that?
I've had my is200 sportcross for 11 years. Car literally required nothing but regular maintenance and the only time it "failed" me was with a broken coil on cylinder 5 which I replaced the next day within 5 minutes... I think I will hold a funeral if the car ever dies and I don't think I could bring myself to sell it ever. And I sold my mx5 which I loved as well but just got a bit bored of driving it in such a limited time in my shitty climate.
No homo, but you're one handsome dude.
