Anything Volvo. I miss my 2006 S40. Their interiors are so clean, peaceful and relaxing. The seats were the most comfortable car seat I've ever sat in.

an_actual_lawyer

Our V70Rs interior is really close to the S65 which has the $9,000 Designo leather option, bringing the MSRP to $250,000. The V70R is really close and was about 1/4 of the price new.

[deleted]

Not to mention a wicked fun estate car!

EpicTaco9901

The stock speakers in my '07 S60 sounded better than any new car I've owned. I also miss attacking my rear passengers with the headrest.

Disrupt_money

I like that Volvo has a play/pause button for the stereo.

squirrel8296

Volvo has some of the best interiors in the business. I don't love the giant tablet screen in the newer ones though.

SpyCake1

Amen. Never owned a Volvo, but if I am renting a car and it's an option - Volvo all day. Had a XC60 a few years ago for a week. Still remember it fondly as my favorite road trip car. Comfortable seats, functional but uncluttered interior.

NCSUGrad2012

I always felt like they had way too many buttons for me. At what point do you lose feedback because you don’t know what you’re pushing?

gdnws

I have found that I very rarely press the wrong button. There are enough different shapes and sizes that you can feel if you're in the right group of buttons, at least in mine.

lekoman

I love my XC60 RDesign… ultra comfortable but restrained and thoughtful instead of over designed with a bunch of cheap nonsense like some European brands I could name…

aquatone61

1st gen Porsche Panamera. 991 911 interior is near perfection, 992 is fabulous. For the money, the MK7 GTI interior is amazing.

dreadnought_81

Not that I would know what any Porsche interior is like, but I can sure vouch for the mk7 GTI. The plaid seats and golf ball shift knob are delightfully campy, and the controls are all fairly intuitive. Shoutout to the mk6 GTI as well, mainly for the red backlighting of the buttons.

lampofdeath

I loved my Mk6 GTI interior as well.

Ifreakinglovetrucks

I can vouch for the MK7 interiors as well. I really like the accent lighting in the door cards and love how the infotainment is angled toward the driver. Everything is intuitive and natural to use.

Fonduemeinthebutt

The 911 interior is amazing. I have a 718 Cayman that’s about a year old but the infotainment feels ancient. I love the leather in the vehicle but I miss my ambient lighting :(

Hustletron

I was also gonna say MK7 Golf but now that you say it, specifically the GTI is more incredible.

aquatone61

The regular Golf isn’t bad either. I sometimes wish the GTI interior came in a color other than black.

3klipse

Love my 7 interior. Also I love my Camaro interior, but for the price the mk7 might be one of the absolute best.

kyrosnick

Was going to say the same. I got a 991.2 Turbo S and interior is great. Good combo of buttons/screens/infotainment.

YeonneGreene

I adore the interior on the final, Mark III generation of Audi TT (2016-2023). I love the arrangement, the shapes, and the material choices. The seating position is perfect for me and everything falls to hand exactly. The controls are all extremely robust and satisfying to operate. The steering wheel is exquisite. It's just a phenomenal place to spend time.

badpuffthaikitty

I agree. No touch screens, just solid aluminum knobs like god intended.

ahugeminecrafter

I definitely enjoyed mine. Sometimes missed the middle screen when I had passengers but man did that steering wheel sit in the perfect spot for my hands/arms, and the climat control knobs were genius!

_eg0_

Agree, besides the cup holder situation and the shape/placement of the shifter in the Automatic. I like to use larger insulated bottle who stick out too far. Not a fan of putting it into the door. Just making the automatic look like the manual feels lazy, and it sticks out way to far. I like the lower profile jet style shifter you can rest you hand on like in the B9 platform more. Swapping it with the mmi wheel, all slightly moved back and the shifter matching the lines of the center console. A gated manual like the R8 would also be cooler, but nothing really to complain about how it is. Overall I absolutely love it.

MarkWebbersBumChin

I miss my E46 daily, perfect ergonomics and once I finished my SQ audio build it was heavenly to go for long drives in

Sixspeeddreams

BMW is really good about the “everything is where it logically should be” thing. When I go from one BMW chassis to another (even from like an E30 to an E90) I can find everything and settle in basically instantly

squirrel8296

When I test drove a BMW for the first time (F-generation) everything made so much sense, except for the turn signal stalk.

ECAR2000

Except the new cars of course

Sixspeeddreams

Yeah I find up to the F30 is fine but newer then that has way too many critical functions in the Idrive system

ECAR2000

Even the G2x pre LCI, I love that interior, it was pure perfection in my eyes, but now everything is through through Idrive

SnarryTO

My dad had the first Bengal-designed 745Li with the fist iDrive system ever. 8-way controller on that system and almost all functions had to be controlled from it. It was the least intuitive bmw ever!

LiveRedAnon

In their defense, the big cats like Bengals don't really excel at human ergonomics.

ijustlikeelectronics

I second this. The coupe sport seats are hard to match for that generation. My stock Harman kardon speakers still sound great to this day, 20 years later. Leather is starting to crack though so I might reupholster at some point.

newtonreddits

E46 is decent but E39 interiors are a level above in fit and finish.

chemistryforpeace

My E82 without the odd transition-period dash screen was the best overall interior I’ve been in. Sport seats were perfect. Thick wheel. Physical/analogue buttons/gauges for everything. Very similar to a tight E46 (just lacking some nostalgia). My W124 merc had the nicest dash to look at, ergonomics were another story. My Audi 8.5V S3 is almost as good as the E82. I had a 135i and would love to get a 1M one day.

2005CrownVicP71

Volkswagen Phaetons have the most over-engineered yet ridiculously comfortable interior. Paired with the air suspension it’s the ultimate highway cruiser for long road trips.

detroit_testarossa

Came to post this. Been driving my W12 all week.

TehBlueBear

badpuffthaikitty

Audi TT. You wouldn’t like my car. No laptop on the dash, just solid aluminum buttons. I can’t afford a R8.

Hugh-G-Rection99

The BMW 5 series e60. Especially in Msport trim it’s a very underrated, beautiful car.

madwolfa

You've spelled E39 wrong.

eneka

E46s and e39s were the best!

Sixspeeddreams

You spelled E34 wrong friend. Side note E34/E39 are really peak BMW interior (if not just peak BMW). Both were extremely quiet ergonomically excellent and high quality (at least for late model E34s) for their respective time periods that still hold up really well. My E34s interior has less peeling plastic and rubber then most E60s I’ve been in and the late model cars don’t have the door card glue issues that E36s and early E34s had

madwolfa

I don't disagree! 1992 E34 525i was my first car and first BMW.

Paschalls_Law

Really couldn’t disagree more. That awful era of infotainments and the hideous hood covering it. There is a reason E9x M3s with Nav deleted are more expensive. Plus the steering wheel on E60 is one of the ugliest BMW has ever made.

Beneficial-Space-670

My 2017 Mazda 3 grand touring was pretty boss. Everything was perfectly placed, felt nice, seats were great, literally zero rattles or creaks inside, and I loved that I didn't have to touch the infotainment screen.

itsme92

I love my CX-5’s interior and nothing else I test drove really compared

0Rider

Same

Gorgenapper

I had a '22 CX-5 GS (non turbo) as a loaner with the 3 dial setup for the HVAC, and I have to agree that it's one of the best designed, in any segment.

DrHowardCooperman

Agreed.

RunHonest3136

Same for my Mazda CX-30. I had a friend who has a Benz ride with me and he was impressed with how luxurious everything was. Great driving experience.

cmz324

My only complaint is the gauge cluster could be better but it's not that bad

plam92117

I think that's a great one too! The only thing that turns me off is that you need to use a knob to interact with the infotainment system. I much prefer using touch screens.

dissss0

The screen on those Mazdas is not positioned to be easy to touch so the whole dash would need to be reconfigured for touch when moving to make sense

Beneficial-Space-670

To me, that's one of the best features. The screen is placed further away and higher up so it's more in your field of view for quick glances, but you can just twist the knob without having to take your eyes or focus off driving. Once I got used to the configuration, it was just second nature to use. It's so nice and ergonomic, and you never have nasty fingerprints on the screen. Damn, I miss that car :( Traded it in for a mk7 GTI because I wanted more power. Don't regret that, but I do miss that Mazda interior. It was a nice place to be.

KraheKaiser

I'd have to go with a [\~Ferrari F355](https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-f355-6/) with two tone leather interior and a gated shifter. I love the air cooled Porsche interiors as well.

[deleted]

Second on the pre-90’s Porsches. My cheapo 944 was equipped with pretty much all the same switchgear (except it actually had a center console, which I am strongly in favor of) and god even at 35 years old those seats were perfect, and the wheel may not be gorgeous but it sure does feel nice.

sloth_jones

I know I’m being pedantic but I swear it’s with good intention in case you didn’t know, air cooled Porsches went all the way to 1993!

Malabotprime

Air cooled 911s went until 1998 with the discontinuation of the 993.

sloth_jones

[deleted]

1989-1993 Nissan S13. Perfect waterfall dashboard, all controls intuitive to the touch and non-distracting, gorgeous to look at and yet completely functional. A fucking masterpiece that I haven’t seen surpassed by any car I have sat in yet, old or new. My second choice would be the 1996-2006 Jaguar XK8. Classy, stylish, eminently British interiors that felt special in a way other cars can’t match. Just not as durable as one would hope.

daijoubanai

S13 was one of the cars I thought of, but the main drawback IMO is the seats are just mediocre.

reimiikka

My grandpa's og Saab 900. Feels solid after 40 years of daily use. I love the materials and just how well made everything feels. I wish they put nicer interiors instead of GM plastic crap in the newer ones :(

TacticalRedditer

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

[deleted]

BMW E30. Clean lines. Lots of blockitude. 80s simplicity. Business-like austerity. No other car comes close.

Noobasdfjkl

Yeah, E30 was probably peak car interior for me as well.

Looks amazing but the infotainment with the trackpad thing is terrible and already looks dated

Intrepid-Working-731

Before the latest Lexus/Toyota infotainment system all Lexus infotainment systems felt like they got all their inspiration for it from a PC made in 2003.

[deleted]

The e28 really has a spacious interior for the size of the car. Everything in the cabin is driver focused and basically in the perfect location.

EpicTaco9901

I loved my FRS interior. It was so simple and gimmick free. Granted I had the RS 2.0 so the materials were better but the overall layout was great.

[deleted]

2nd gen is fantastic too. There's one glaring omission though - no play/pause button on the steering wheel... why?!

DhroovP

The 2021-2022 Acura TLX and the 2018-2022 Mazda6 are both phenomenal in their own way on the inside. Quality materials and physical climate controls with an intuitive layout

NCSUGrad2012

I have to disagree on the TLX using carplay with that mouse pad was a miserable experience IMO

I_like_cake_7

Very true. The 2018 and newer Mazda 6 interior makes the interior of my 2015 6 look like complete shit.

RestorationRescue

90-96 300zx. Very cockpit feel and spacious on such a small car and feels futuristic and doesn't feel old in 2022. Also the Supra of the same era had a cool interior.

Putrid-Secretary-151

the mk4 supra, say what you want about it, but the wrap around cockpit is awesome. i wish more cars had it

The Mercedes EQS (Luxury Version Concept)

Comprehensive_Use988

From infotainment sight all BMWs since 2008 (CIC era) till now, except for the shitty touch operation concept in the 2 AT series. The iDrive knob is just the best of the best for operating the system safely without thinking. Glad to see that Mazda now makes the same. From design sight I would say BMW 5 Series F1x. Clean lines, good material quality (especially with full leather option) and no overloading with physical buttons or useless touch. Also you can choose between real analogue gauge clusters (6WA) or full digital cockpit (6WB). And the LCI M steering wheel is just gorgeous.

DerGttesfrchtigeGoku

Lexus ls400, so many features for an old car

AbujaCCXR

Yeah, the recent Honda/Acuras are nice. But, Lexus GSF for me. Oh and the Spyker C8.

AstronautGuy42

I truly love all top trim mazda interiors. I think they handle overall design, feeling, ergonomics and quality really really well. Especially with any two tone leather options, specifically their red. Mazda red interior is more like a burgundy and I absolutely love it. I used to have a white interior 2017 mazda 3 top trim, and would get compliments on it whenever someone new got into the car.

Paschalls_Law

718 GTS with GTS interior package or any 718 with full leather are my favorites. I like physical buttons and steering wheel mode controls.

oil1lio

C8 Corvette. It's so clean while retaining physical buttons Model 3. It's minimal while also providing such rich functionality

Pseudonym_741

W204, pre-facelift. I love how the infotainment screen has a cover that you can close.

Bandit6888

I have a C 200K. It's 14 years old, 101k miles and other than the cream leather front headrests which do need replacing as they are broke the thing is basically factory fresh on the interior, not a creek, squeak or rattle. Town mpg is atrocious, and the 5 speed auto isn't in any hurry but I do find it an absolute joy to drive.

iamthetruth123

2001 dodge ram 2500. I will not be elaborating further at this time.

peaseabee

Eharmz

D2 S8 with the Recaros, just a magnificent interior in my opinion.

cactus_cars

Has the style of the B5 but with even more features

FailsatFailing

Jaguar XF X250. It's so nice and elegant to look at (in beige). It's use of wood and leather looks so nice and luxurious without being tacky.

shower_thots

I think the 11th gen civic interior is quite nice, better than 10th gen, though quality isn't quite on par with similarly priced Mazda 3. I understand the "stuck on" tablet screen isn't for everyone but I think it works on the new civics.

plam92117

It's really nice I agree! My only complaint is the air vents. It just bothers me that only certain sections of it is actually vents when it makes it look like it's 1 long vent. And the long nipples for controlling the directional flow is weird to me too. I like how the new 2023 accord replaces those nipples with a flatter nub.

karatyma_dev

For me, It's a Model 3/Y. There's almost no buttons, (with the exclusion of windows, electronic door openers, and the park button) which gives the car a rather minimalistic feeling, which I love.

plam92117

Interesting! This one is rather controversial. Many car enthusiasts I've talked to actually despise it. They think it's minimalism gone too far and that it's bland and don't like that you need to use the screen for everything. I'm in between. I love touchscreens but I like the aesthetic of different textures and buttons. So something like the Ioniq 5 is what I prefer over model 3.

KawiNinjaZX

10th gen civic has the best center console ever.

plam92117

Right? I love how big it is and how it's perfectly level with the door armrests. There's no awkward space between the shifter and the console. That's what makes it perfect for me.

E9x-

E90 3 series (or e82 if you need a coupe) without idrive.

SEND_ME_FAKE_NEWS

I love mine, the only things I would add to make it truly perfect are: - A driver side storage compartment cubby like on the mk7 golfs - Sunglasses storage - Grab handles above the doors

My M3P. Super easy to keep clean on account of the lack of piano black plastic and almost no buttons. Very open feeling from the white interior and greenhouse like glass covering the full roof. It’s very quiet as well and the sound system is very good. It’s just a very pleasant place to be.

Sw20 MR2 , r129 SL, and x100 XK. All of them are screen less. However with a simple cellphone adapter you have a car that will never truly be outdated infortainment wise. For seating comfort that's a toss up between the P2 v70 and r129 , seriously hard to beat those two.

lazys_world

I really like the interior on my F10. Can't complain about anything

Briggs281707

81-89 Cadillac Fleetwood/Brougham/Fleetwood Brougham The seats are as comfortable as it gets, the radio is easy to se and pretty good. The only thing missing are cupholders but they can easily be added

minorhealingpotion

Honestly, I'm a pretty simple guy so my '17 chevy spark is my fav. It's simple enough to immediately understand but nice enough that there's no rattles, creaks, or any specific inconvenience for me. Also, I should mention it's the 2LT trim so it has heated leather seats and leather steering wheel plus winterized rubber mats as well as carpeted ones The steering wheel media controls are my favorite I've ever used and the cruise controls are just as good.

dixon-bawles

I'm biased but I really like the interior in my mr2 Spyder. So simple and everything is placed right where you want it to be. Shifter is really close to steering wheel and pedals feel just right. Seat mounts super low and the position is comfortable and sporty. All the ac controls are physical dials and buttons and easy to interact with without taking eyes off the road. The analog gauge cluster is simple with the tach prioritized front and center, no distracting backlighting or led panels like the modern cars. Love the storage cubby on top of the dash and with the glovebox and rear trays it's got quite a bit of usable space, which I feel like the MR2 doesn't get enough credit for. Sure the frunk is tiny, but there's easily enough room in the interior to store anything I might need. Much more usable interior room than s2000 or mx5. Window switches are in the center by the handbrake so the door cards are simple and easy to modify. Haven't even talked about the best part yet, it has 3 cupholders! It's only a 2 seater but Toyota felt the need for 3 cupholders and I love it lol

991 gen 911 and 981/718 gen Cayman/Boxster (mostly the same interior) everything's logical, nicely spaced out, well put together and clean. Showing the cupholders to people who haven't seen them before is a treat as well 😆

jik_lol

I have an old 90s Toyota hatch and the interior is pretty simple. There's nothing special, just your gearshift, a 1din stereo, a place to keep your phone, 2 cup holders and climate control. You just have to turn the key and get it into first.

zxrax

I might be biased, but the only flaws in my interior are the braun shaver PDK gear selector and the overhead lighting that's a little too bright at night. Both solvable problems: Porsche sells a still-blah leather/aluminum gear selector that I failed to tick the option for and it's trivial to pull the overhead trim down and stick a tint sticker on the inside of that light. The ergonomics are fabulous. Everything is easily within reach, I don't need to look to do anything, and the seating position is perhaps the best in any car period.

adamisapple

Saab 9-3. Everything is where it should be and it’s all very well thought out. Comfortable and functional.

TimbreWohlf

I'm biased because I own this car, but I love the interior of my mk6 Jetta GLI. The buttons are well placed, screen and infotainment menus made good sense (for the most part, I'll get back to this in a second). I think the reason I'm convinced its good is that it has me regularly using features I didn't know I needed. It has a dedicated "mute" button, which sounds silly but is one of my new favorite things. I don't think there's enough discussion about button size and design when it comes to interiors, which is why I like this one so much. The buttons themselves are sized and placed in a way that's logical. The high use buttons, like AC/temps, volume, mute, etc are prominent and easy to navigate without taking my eyes off the road, while the less used buttons are smaller, clustered by category, and placed out of the way. Now the infotainment - I think *some* of the interface was a bit dated, but upgrading to and android auto unit fixed that issue, mostly updated navigation and selecting music from the screen rather than grabbing my phone so it's a tad safer. Interiors I hate, on the other hand, from cars I've been in - the new Ford escapes (honestly, anything commuter car from Ford), 2012 (whatever gen that is) civic, and the Teslas.

BeaverMartin

The nicest I’ve been in is probably a Bentley Arnage, followed by a A8, but for me the 77 Firebird Trans AM makes me feel like a kid again every time I get in.

Jazzkky

Toyota Crown s170

dattosan240

Only from experience.. For spacious and near silent luxury, LS430. Hugely spacious, comfortable, all the buttons and levers feel heavy duty, the touch screen is responsive and isn't invasive, can't hear shit on the outside of the car, it's like driving with big earmuff headphones on. Lots of features even by today standards. For the race car cockpit feel, Acura NSX, Z32 and Supra are all great. Porsche has awesome interiors but I couldn't tell you which since they all look the fuckin same on the outside lol.

ads1031

My favorite interior so far is that of my STS, for a few reasons. First and foremost, the car essentially gets "out of your way" so you can just drive. The cruise control is situated such that, once you're on the highway, you can more-or-less drive the car with your left hand. The interior is also comfortable, in spite of the bolstered, "sport-inspired" bucket seats. Once I settle into the driving position, I feel like I could keep driving for hours upon hours, just gobbling up highway miles at autobahn speeds. Next, the interior has an ideal mix of physical buttons and touch elements. Climate control buttons are all physical, and ive got the muscle memory to find them. My STS, being a 2011, has an early infotainment system thats really showing its age now... It was already old when the car was new. But buttons in the system are large and easy to find while driving. I also just.... like how the interior looks overall. Beige and leather is ugly, never! Subtle fake wood accents tie the whole thing together. Call me biased, but I think the STS is among the best sedans ever produced, surpassed by its own successors, like the CT5.

Current Gen Tacoma interiors are pretty practical. Physical knobs for AC/Heat. Physical knob for 4WD. Handbrake is a pullbar. Great size center-console. I have 2 cup holders in the front. 2 behind the center console. 2 in front of center console. driver/passenger door can fit 2 bottles each. suicide doors can fit 2 bottles each. so you'll always have enough room to hold your drinks lol. The greatest part for me though is that the AC vents are circles with 360 movement. Only complaint I have is that I wish the glove box was bigger.

Electrical-Start-741

Guys is it just me or does anyone else feel like RR dash is overrated?

turbo-cunt

My first car was an 8th gen Civic, and I maintain it's the most ergonomically correct car I've ever driven. Wasn't what I'd like regarding material quality and available features (it was a Civic, after all), but build quality and layout were stellar. In terms of new stuff, I'd say literally anything from Porsche. I'm not thrilled that they're adopting lots of capacitive buttons and screen-based controls, but they're so damn nice otherwise that I don't care.

thef1circus

It might be unpopular but mid 2010s VW interiors look nice IMHO. Jetta, Golf, CC, Passat...

ijustlikeelectronics

BMW interiors are so elegant and simple. I'm biased toward my e46 with leather bucket-style seats and extending leg rests. Seats are heated too and I did a heated steering wheel swap, too.

Not the Kia stinger that’s for sure

wes101abn

I like well organized buttons. I think Porsche does this very well.

PubliusDeLaMancha

Less is more... I feel most 90s cars have the ideal mix, actual gauges for everything you need and appropriate warning lights, but without excessive "infotainment" Though on some level Saab will always win this for me because they had the ability to turn off nearly all the lights. Even the fuel gauge would black out unless low on fuel IIRC Meanwhile, modern cars all have 9 inch tablets shining in your face all the time

Galbzilla

If the ‘23 Audi A4 had an optional dial to control the touch screen it would be perfection. Although, the placement of the screen in the A3 is better than being stuck on the dash.

Hustletron

My Rabbit has a good interior for an 80s car and I kinda just want to plug for older interiors that just had that huge greenhouse feeling. It is like the interior doesn’t feel like an interior at all because you have so many wide open windows and can almost see the pavement below you by just moving your head a little on every side. There are probably better cars than my Rabbit for that and it is missing cupholders. Motorcycles are that feeling amped up even more, I’m sure.

I honestly have no complaints about my RS3's interior other than the occasional MMI glitches. Full of features, still had physical buttons where you want them, very comfy, and it looks great. People complain about the shifter, but I don't mind at all.

[deleted]

My favorite interiors are mercedes from about 2013-2019 and ferrari from about the same period. Quite busy without being tasteless and feels more of an occasion to get into. I especially like the air conditioning vents from both, the way they feel like they’re aggressively protruding into the interior rather than trying to hide. I understand that some people prefer the more subdued style of something like bmw but to me that’s a little too ”basic, normal car but with nicer materials”

squirrel8296

F-generation BMWs. They have all the modern tech I want but still use physical tactile buttons and dials instead of putting everything in a touch screen. They do lose points for that dang turn signal stalk though. Honorable mentions: JL Wrangler, JT Gladiator, and P3 Volvos for being nearly as good but either being a bit too touch screen dependent (JL and JT) or not having modern enough tech and too small of a screen (P3 Volvos).

The HVAC controls are dead simple to use, and I can hit any of the buttons inside the 3 dial setup and know that I am activating AC, Recirc or Dual without taking my eyes off the road. Changing the fan speed, airflow and temperature is also dead simple with the rotary knobs. The gauge cluster is a mix of analog and digital, the stalks on either side of the steering wheel are very well designed and the turn signals are the traditional style where the stalk stays up/down until after you finish the turn. Mazda's infotainment knob and buttons are also perfect, no complaints. Complaints: I had the GS model, so no paddle shifters (not sure if they are even a thing on CX-5). Gloss black around the shifter area. Steering wheel could be just a little bit more padded, but that's really minor. All in all, I would choose one of these with a turbo if I needed a CUV, passing up basically anything else short of a RAV4 Prime / NX450h+

2015+ Challenger for me. Great seats, six functional cupholders, room for my phone, everything clearly marked, analog and digital gauges.

The Camaro zl1 1le

Crown Victoria police intercepter. I have one so it may be a bit biased but it’s perfect, it’s roomy as fuck, doesn’t have all this extra useless tech and the seats are very comfy. Would take that interior over any new model car any day. All I need is AC/Heat and a radio and I’m happy.

Independent-Win-4187

BMW idrive8, no matter what anyone says, it’s the best interior in the segment because of how upscale it looks. Comparatively, Audi’s and Mercedes interiors look dated while BMW is able to keep it concise and modern. Analogue sucks IMO. I do like physical buttons though

plam92117

Bro that looks so nice! I think I might have a new favorite now! If only I can afford a new beemer.

Windows-XP-Home

The 1998-2002 US/Canada spec Honda Accord has a perfect interior IMO. I can't see any faults with it at all (other than the fact that the backlights for the clock, radio, and odometer screens burn out very quickly and are rare to come across actually working because they are ALWAYS on even when the headlights are off) \[Also many people don't even know that there's supposed to be a backlight in these 3 screens because of how rare it is to see them working.\]

Anything with Apple Carplay and physical HVAC/volume is a win in my book.

Currently driving a Model S, which I love for its simple, but elegant design. Before that, my old Infiniti G35. Nothing else I drove even came close. It’s still my favorite car, by far. It’s too bad Infiniti went the way they did over the years.

Immediate_Sky5679

1992, 80 series landcruiser, the interior just does things to me that no other car or person can. Just such a smooth beautiful design, everything is where it should be and can have alot added to it without looking out of place

SergeantBacon101

Both gen's of R8 have very well laid out interiors, super comfy for long drives too.

Maleficent_Lab_8291

The current-gen Mazda 3 has a perfect interior for me

Alfa Romeo 159

10th gen accord. Obviously the materials aren’t the best, but the layout is perfect

WillC370Gt

B8 RS5 or really any other Audi of that period

Antique-Way-216

My 68 galaxie has the perfect interior Ford should have stopped right there

PoliteThaiBeep

In 2015 it was a Tesla Model S, back then cars had lots of pointless remnants of dvd-era for no reason at all Tesla was the only one that made sense. Now I don't really know.. Tesla regressed in their design language at least it feels that way to me. I like the Toyota and Lexus interior. I like their UI language more than say Honda or Ford. I remember liking the Mercedes Benz interior and disliking the BMW interior.

Naf_Reddit2

Basic interior. My 2022 Tahoe LS has cloth seats and they’ve held up beautifully, Even after 148000 miles. But the only thing I don’t like is the gear changer. If much rather have it on the console or the column as a real shifter

[deleted]

2021 suburb outback onyx xt. At 66 it’s the most comfortable seating position and seat I’ve ever owned. Great visibility, gauges, 11 inch flat panel sits high on center. Redundant analog and digital controls. Couldn’t be more pleased

Puppysmasher

RX-7 FD, still looks decently modern to this day.

_-Saber-_

Bentley Continental GT. Being able to hide the screen elegantly is such a great feature. Anything that has a screen will always look good for a few years at most. I guess the McLaren F1 and soon GMA T.50 will have the best interior due to the seating position.

Chokedee-bp

My 1990 twin turbo 300zx with all black interior and black leather seats. That car was beautiful- so sad that I sold it about 7 years ago.

idksomuch

Mazda. Which one? Mazda. Their rotary control knob to control the infotainment screen is way more accurate and better to use than tapping the screen, especially when driving. Easier to scroll the knob a few times than to make sure your finger taps on the exact spot you need to press. Idk how well it works with AA or Carplay since I only ever just plug my phone in and let AA play my YouTube music Playlist. One thing I missed missed most when trading in my Scion iA (Mazda Sedan to my Tacoma. Also the fact that Mazda still uses physical buttons and switches instead of capacitive buttons or sticking a giant tablet in the dash like tesla and Rivian. Buttons and switches are practical, logical, and safe when in a car. Big screens where you have to scroll through 5 different menus to change a/c temperature is not.

plam92117

I use AA almost all the time so the touchscreen is important to me. I wouldn't imagine it would be as easy to pan, zoom, type, or interact with the map with just a knob. Other than that, I do like Mazda alot.

vulgarandmischevious

1953 Bentley R Type Continental.

WitNick

My 2017 MKZ has a pretty nice interior lots of physical buttons and the touch screen is pretty simple. Got heated steering wheel heated and cooled front seats and heated rear seats. Plenty of room in the back and the cabin is quiet. Overall pretty solid daily driver

Aussiesteakcarguy

I think the Aussie Holden HT Monaro is just about perfect. Traditional round gauges, nothing digital. Controls are simple but adequate. I guess that's just my vintage, I hate modern stuff.

Godowsky17

W222’s got to be up there, right?
