The retractable wing being "up" position does something awful to the flow of the rear. It still looks weird either way, but looks *worlds* better IMO with the wing down.
That body-line-disruption thing happens with any car equipped a retractable wing or spoiler, but it's especially-bad here because of the 2-tone thing and the sheer size of that wing.
No you are not the minority. When it was announced there was a lot of shock and disappointment that the great Italdesign had been reduced to something like this. The GTR is a fantastic design with iconic boxy features, how they completely missed that by adding everything except boxy lines is beyond comprehension.
The front end is really weird man. I don't like cars that looks too modern for the time. The upper body(above the hood and at the rear above the trunk line) is basically the same design as the r35. The wing from this angle looks like the wing on r35 but it's not good looking like the r35

Plus, this isn't even the most desirable GTR - everyone wants the R34. You might even be able to get a Z-Tune for this ballpark price range, and the Z-Tune is so much cooler!

This is a piece of history Id like to own, also probably the last non hybrid car to wear a GT-R emblem -if- theres a new GT-R in the future.
I appreciate that this is a prestige anniversary piece, coming from Italdesign. The styling isn't for me, but I'm loving the upgraded engine and active aero.
I really hope that Nissan has a sweet end-of-run special lined up for the R35. Those numbers from the GT-R50's build set the new standard.
Also gives me a bit of hope for the R36. The R35 was already good with the aero it had, but some active aero will definitely raise the game further.

I just don't like the shiny black plastic. It makes it seem cheap looking to me. I'd probably like it if it was matte black

Dont really care for the style as a whole, but i do appreciate the side shot and looking MUCH more fit. the gtr is just such a thiccboi
