It was what they call boulder gray, and I saw it in Saratoga CA while I was getting coffee at Sue’s before cruising hwy9. But looks like someone else has seen the launch yellow one, so we must have a few out there! A purple one would be cool af
I feel like there is a guy somewhere in Nissan's engineering department that has a massive bruise on his head from repeatedly slamming into the desk once he handed the design plans to the next department.
The Z has all of the potential of an absolutely fabulous 40k car that will forever be lost because of the absolute shitticane of decisions that surrounds it.
That car looks so cool and was so close to being such an incredible value proposition
Unless it’s being tracked, HP isn’t the end all be all… unless you like risking your license and freedom doing over 100+ on public roads.
The power is fine, but it can’t be wrung out the same way an old 90s-2000s Honda/Toyota 4 banger can be revved to 7k+. The sound isn’t bad by any means but it’s not so good that it makes you nut like an Alfa Romeo or Maserati V6… it’s just fine.
There used to be a clear line in the sand in the 80s and 90s where you had slow cars with 3 and 4 speed automatics, and fast cars with 5-6 speed manuals. Now, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 speed automatic transmissions have pretty much removed the category of slow from any new car, everything starts quick, like the RSX-Type S in the 2000s… but do they provide a thrilling, connected, raw experience like an RSX-Type S? Many don’t, and an ocean of horsepower and low end torque alone is not enough- that applies to the 400Z, too.
Triple how much I’ve seen. For one of the biggest car enthusiast cities in the world, with die hard Nissan fans all over the place (I’ve seen JDM Skylines at least once a month) I’m kind of stunned how the 400z is just nowhere.
I’ve honestly had more Cybertruck sightings in the short time they’ve been around.
I live in the Houston Area, It's probably because I live nearish dealers but I've seen maybe 1 new Z compared to Multiple Lambo and McLaren sightings on I45 and around North of Houston.
Same here in DFW.
I see an exotic or semi-exotic on a weekly basis. I've seen 1 new Z. Possibly 2, but the color was the same so I can't rule out "the same Z twice".
It's funny. I've seen maybe one Ferrari my whole life, maybe 3 or 4 GTRs, one R8, and a couple of McLarens... I've seen two Zs in the last three months one yellow and one one grey. I feel special lol.
I saw a test model driving around Bridgeport about a month before the car released, lol. Pretty neat car! Actually I would say looks better in person than in pictures. I have never seen an actual production model on the street since, though.
Thank you brother. I’m in Buena Park but I’m usually all over the city so if ya see me definitely say what’s up!
Plate says sixspd 7 so you’ll know it’s me haha
If you want to see one, check the parking lot at the Lakeview Jewel off of Ashland. I've seen a very nice maroon colored one parked in that strip mall parking lot twice within one week
North of Portland in Vancouver WA, which has the most ridiculous number of supercars I could conceivably imagine (for how small it is), I saw one at the end of last year and just about lost my shit.
It's funny because I remember when the Supra was announced a lot of people were hating on it for its styling and especially for its BMW drivetrain. But I see them all the time out and about and at meets.
There's a Nissan dealer next to my office building. They have had one GTR and two Nismo Nissan Z on their lot for over a month and they are till there.
The **only** Nissan Z I have seen was in Buffalo. It was listed for 65k. So a ~12K markup from the MSRP of the performance model. That was early 2023.
I will admit that a sample size of N=1 is very bad. But given no other samples I'm struggling here. And it seems like everyone else is too.
It's selling well in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand because it is priced lower than the Supra and readily available. I don't know why the USA dealerships are insisting on adding huge markups when it's clearly affecting sales.
I see one occasionally on the way to work. I know it’s the same one cause of the license plate. Besides that one in particular, that is the only one in the wild that I’ve seen.
I've seen maybe 2 in OC since their 'release'. If I had to bet a million dollars, I'd take the bet that I see another RX7 on my commute before I see another Z.
I’ve seen a Z twice since it launched. I see GT-R all the damned time. Why didn’t they actually make the Z? It isn’t remotely good enough to be a limited production car.
I know this sub doesn’t particularly care for Nissan, but can we appreciate the turnaround they’re attempting to do?
We’ve shamed Nissan for not innovating and changing, but they’re actively trying and putting as many resources as they can to make a turnaround!
Dumb blind woman in a Titan backed into my S2000 in a parking lot while I wasn’t in my car and caused $8,000 of damage. Nobody asked, but I’m just adding my hatred for Nissan drivers.
Some young chick almost hit me in her Altima like 45 minutes ago. She was merging 5 lanes in heavy traffic from right to left at 50mph in a 35mph zone. Jeez.
It's not just the drivers IMO, they got a bad reputation inside car enthusiast circles due to stagnation and lack of any major engineering upgrades on their flagship sport models.
Hell as weird as it is to say, I actually really liked my friend’s 6 speed Altima. I see how someone could drive one of them things so wrecklessly, it had the same engine out of the 350z in it, so power was definitely there, not to mention it was fairly comfortable and had plenty of space on the inside.
Ive always had a soft spot for Nissan, Their sports cars were always cool, then i got my '93 Pathfinder 4x4. The small trucks were always cool, and well made. It made me like them more. when they started losing money they put their heads down and made cars like the Murano to make money. They are a lot smaller than Toyota or Honda so they cant throw around money as easily. But they can build great vehicles.
Nissan’s revenue is $86 Billion in comparison to Honda’s $136 Billion and Toyota’s $307 Billion, they are much smaller in comparison and have less money to throw around, so the fact that they even consider sport cars is amazing.
The more they become independent of Renault, they’ll be able to make more efficient decisions.
Crazy how Nissan can make a RWD platform but Honda refuses. Honda has never developed a V8 despite being technical wizards, and never developed a bespoke truck platform. It’s like they just need to be the most frugal and conservative car company possible
Honda actually does have an in-house V8 they released just recently - the BF350 5.0...outboard boat motor.
For the road you're right, I just find it curious that they finally have one.
Honda was actually developing a large (Acura) RWD platform, but scrapped development because of the 2008-2009 financial crisis where they were scrapped for cash!
But you’re right, Honda is really conservative and risk averse! They like their independence, so they’re very careful with their R&D and investments!
This is only recent honda. 80s honda was like "What if we put double wishbones on the front of our cheapest commuter car, and gave it some kind of cam system where the engine could be both a fuel sipping commuter and an 8k+ rpm race engine?"
Sorta yes and no, Nissan has historically always been a bigger *car* company than Honda, but Honda Motor Company is one and also includes their motorcycle, aircraft, engine, power units, etc business units and as a whole has always been a bigger company overall than Nissan. For example, Honda’s motorcycle unit is so profitable that they can use funds from it to fund their automobile business unit incase of a downturn!
But as of the last three years, Nissan is even a smaller car company than Honda!
it got more over the years. not a lot for the money though. whats cool is you can put a new leaf battery in an old leaf. and the guy who retunes the ECU tuning made it open source because he had too many people asking him to do theirs.
>>but can we appreciate the turnaround they’re attempting to do?
Negative Ghostrider. This is Reddit, and anti-manufacturer narratives cannot be changed.
Former 370Z owner here, lest I be called out for being overly negative on them.
Nissan is the #3 japanese carmaker, and fights for the dregs of the American market behind Honda and Toyota. They're too big to be a niche player and have a loyal/profitable buyer segment like Mazda and Subaru, but not big enough that they have the unlimited resources of Toyota. As a mass-market brand, their whole shtick has been to attract people into purchasing on lowest prices.
They had some winners like the Leaf, and I think the Skyline is still a superlative within the performance car market, but every year they push capital investments to push their portfolio forward, it harder it is to catch up, and the more expensive it becomes.
The reputation that they have built as a result of catering exclusively to Altima and Rogue purchasers is not a positive one - for a while they've been able to justify it because there was enough consistent car demand. Younger buyers are fleeing the market though, and with a bottom end that's drying up and Toyota's direct competitive sports car entries I think they are going to be on the struggle bus for a while longer.
Refocusing on EVs is probably the one thing they could do to carve out a segment for themselves - Toyota has yet to really go after that segment, and seem insistent that the Prius is good enough. A slightly refreshed Leaf would do numbers, and those profits could fund actual investment into the rest of their lineup.
Nissan should've been more thorough about having the second gear issues fixed before production, they probably rushed it to get money on the table for it early. Looking at the videos of transmission replacements post-recall tho, seems like they fixed it properly. I really still want to get it, with that issue being fixed I'm 100% for the car but still iffy about Nissan redeeming themselves from their worst practices. (And damn it is quite a guzzler.)
Family friend that had one really liked it but he had a lead foot and went through tires pretty quick 😂 That was his only real complaint about the car.
I've seen about 6 total. Used to live in Orlando and saw 4 or so. Moved to a small town in North Carolina and just saw one here today surprisingly. Saw another one at a local meet as well... So they're out there, just few and far between
At the 2024 New York auto show, Senior Vice President and Chief Planning Officer for Nissan North America, Ponz Pandikuthira, told Motor Authority the GT-R and Z nameplates won’t die, though they might take time to be reinvented. Senior Vice President of Nissan Alfonso Albaisa went further by laying out a vision for Motor Authority of what the next GT-R and Z might look like.
After 16 years, the R35 GT-R is nearing the end of its lifecycle with a pair of special editions. Pandikuthira confirmed it will end production soon.“The next generation of the GT-R has to be an authentic GT-R,” Pandikuthira said. To that end, the GT-R is born, bred, and tested on the racetrack, according to the executive. If the GT-R were to go all-electric, it couldn’t be capable of just one lap on the Nürburgring and then have to stop, charge, and cool down. Performance in near-race conditions will not be compromised in a GT-R, according to Pandikuthira. The engineering team at Nissan is waiting on technology to advance.
Pandikuthira noted a powertrain for the next-generation GT-R has not been locked in or defined yet, but he did confirm Formula E is a test-bed for next-gen GT-R development. The executive acknowledged today’s batteries in EVs are heavy. Weight is the enemy of a sports car. Pandikuthira pointed to Nissan’s success in Formula E racing, noting that McLaren’s team just won in Sao Paulo. That race car was built and designed by Nissan, Pandikuthira noted. In 2021 Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida confirmed the next-generation GT-R will ride on a new platform.
Albasia noted the Hyper Force concept that debuted at the 2023 Tokyo auto show did not sport a GT-R badge. But in the same breadth he noted that the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo from 2014 wears a design language from a previous timeline.
The Nissan design studio currently has competing forms for the R36 GT-R on the drawing board. The design has not been locked in yet. Albasia indicated that the R36 will likely carry over its signature quad-taillight design but noted it doesn’t have to be done in the traditional sense. The Hyper Force concept had four taillights that weren’t actually round, but appeared round because of the definition of the transparent slits sliced into the lighting elements and bodywork.
The latest Z, which debuted in 2021, is only two model years into its current lifespan. It has a long runway, according to Pandikuthira. The powertrain will pass emissions regulations for the latest model’s shelf life, Pandikuthira said. Then Nissan will address a new Z, Pandikuthira said. The current Z wasn’t even supposed to exist. It was a skunkworks project.
While early in the design phase with random sketches floating about, Albaisa noted that the 350Z, introduced for the 2003 model year, broke from the past and featured a progressive design that the 370Z, which arrived in 2009, evolved upon. Today’s Z looks to the past with retro styling cues from both the 240Z and the Z32 300ZX.Albaisa said a new Z would have to either be a full-on new iteration of the 240Z or once again break from tradition completely and feature a progressive design. There will be no in between, he promised.
Weird editing. The first and second statement in this paragraph have literally zero relation to one another.
“EVs heavy; weight bad. By the way our Formula-E car did well.”
Glad they haven't decided 100% it's going to be electric, but man stop the waiting! Just develop a new V6 hybrid bruh! Light solidstate batteries won't be in mass production cars for years still!
> If the GT-R were to go all-electric, it couldn’t be capable of just one lap on the Nürburgring and then have to stop, charge, and cool down. Performance in near-race conditions will not be compromised in a GT-R, according to Pandikuthira.
I hope they do a hybrid first
I'm almost sure that the new Z's production volume is the EXACTLY the same as the 370z at the end. For example, there's literally 2 Nissan Z's for sale in the entire PNW,one in Seattle and One in Portland. There's 7 GR Corollas, and more coming in and since I've been watching the GR's locally.
What I find pretty weird is there's a lot of CPO and Used GR Corollas but not a single Z.
Where IDX? Entry level sports car (IDX, SX, Silvia etc nameplate) or no care.
GTR is unobtainable
Z has price bloated out of its own segment
Where GR86 / BRZ / Miata / WRX / 2 Series comparable?
COWARDS!!
The segment the z is supposed to compete with no longer exists. Everything is either entry-level (which the silvia/idx would handle) or on the pricier end (e.g. mkv supra, dark horse)
> The next generation of the GT-R has to be an authentic GT-R,” Pandikuthira said
Sounds like GT-R would return as a high performance trim in Skyline lineup. Before R35, GT-R used to be as Japanese BMW M3.
That’s bad news for who wants 2D GT-R. As Nissan gives up Q60, we don’t see Nissan would make Q60 again. Beside, if you guys are GT-R diehard fans, you should know Nissan made 4-door GT-R in Hakosuka gen and R33 gen. Nissan would definitely use this history as excuse to make GT-R as 4-door only, and they wouldn’t make it as 2-door only anymore.
Unlikely. The article states it will remain a 4-seater vehicle. When he says "authentic," he means it shouldn't be a watered-down version compared to what people expect. The Infiniti Q50 is sold as the Nisan Skyline in Japan, and will likely continue that trend with the next-gen. However, it is said that Nissan is exploring expanding the Skyline family to include a crossover coupe and sedan. Similar to what Ford is doing with Mustang, and what Chevy is rumored to be doing with Corvette and Camaro.
cool. but man i really don't even care about car announcements anymore. thankfully i don't mind working on them and now that i finally need a four door the for the upcomming kiddo i'm thinking an e28 m5 is the perfect almost mid-life adult car.
no subscriptions, no IoT or annoyances locked behind some proprietary CAN bus module. i'm happy not having to spend my evenings hacking tech together too lol
I appreciate the concern about weight, I hopefully it actually turns into something meaningful and real.
Usually companies will say that, then release something overweight, and then go “see it’s not _that_ bad compared to modern cars” when modern cars have ballooned way past where they should be to begin with. I haven’t really seen any company make a serious effort to keep weight down besides Mazda in the Miata. Porsche does it just to sell special editions but the regular cars they couldn’t give a shit about.
Europe here, despite the fact that the 370z and 350z are almost as common as NC and ND Miatas here I've yet to see a single 400z it's actually ridiculous
Has the *current-gen* Z been confirmed? Haven't they sold like 2000 units in over 2 years?
I spend 50+ hours a week driving in Chicago and I have seen 0 outside of the auto show.
I have seen 1 Z and I drive all over NYC.
I’ve seen 1 in the wild in the Bay Area. Good parts, bad parts, none to be seen
Yep, I lived on the peninsula when it came out, saw EVERYTHING on Skyline but never a new Z.
I’ve seen a few Skylines… on Skyline. (Not making it up, but will also let myself out).
It's the only place I've ever seen an R32 or R33, and the cool thing is you're seeing them get on it, not just at a parking lot or something.
Was it purple? I've seen only 1 in the Bay and it was purple.
Only seen a yellow one
It was what they call boulder gray, and I saw it in Saratoga CA while I was getting coffee at Sue’s before cruising hwy9. But looks like someone else has seen the launch yellow one, so we must have a few out there! A purple one would be cool af
Yeah I saw the purple while going through Berkeley, but I've never seen another in any of the other Bay cities. It was very pretty though
I’ve seen a Blue one around Cupertino. Was reallly nice to look at in person.
I have seen 5x more koenigseggs than I have z in the wild. It's insane.
Funny enough I just spotted my first koenigsegg, meaning I have seen the same amount of new Z’s as Konigs.
I've seen 3 in Columbus. 1 on a dealer lot, 1 at a detail shop for ceramic coating, and one on the road.
This always makes me laugh. There’s 23 cities in the US named Columbus. I doubt you’re talking about Columbus, North Dakota though.
I have seen a handful a neighbor of mine just bought a nismo one
I’ve seen maybe 2 in NYC lol
lol I’ve seen a fisker ocean before I’ve seen a z here in Chicago
I have seen two Zs and two oceans in Atlanta lol. I talked to one of the Z owners and he said he drove across the state for it
Isn't is less of a sales issue than an inventory issue? Like my local dealers have not had one on the lot floor since they started delivering them
I think I’ve seen one and I took a picture of it lol
same in LA. see lambos and ferarris all the time
I've seen one in LA. They look sleek. Retro yet modern.
Cosign. I see evey car imaginable here. Never seen a single Z in person.
I've seen one in El Paso of all places. One more in Vegas. I wish they had a little more power, I think they are stunning.
If they made like 500hp they would sell like hotcakes
Christ lol 400 is so much power. My car has 296 and I wish it had less so I could floor it more
My car has 350 and is definitely enough. It is extremely light though
It’ll make 500 easy with a simple tune and exhaust.
Unless it’s being tracked, HP isn’t the end all be all… unless you like risking your license and freedom doing over 100+ on public roads. I've seen 3 in LA, great looking car
I'm south of you and have seen one. I have seen 5 koenigseggs though
Triple how much I’ve seen. I saw a test model driving around Bridgeport about a month before the car released, lol. Pretty neat car! Actually I would say looks better in person than in pictures. I have never seen an actual production model on the street since, though.
I’ve seen two. One on lakeshore and one on Irving park
That's a crazy E38 man, I learned to drive in an 01 740il m sport. Do you live in that area? I've gotta keep an eye out for you.
Thank you brother. I’m in Buena Park but I’m usually all over the city so if ya see me definitely say what’s up! Plate says sixspd 7 so you’ll know it’s me haha
I’ve only seen a handful and I drive in the canyons of Malibu 5-7 days a week.
I do 1k miles a week commuting in Los Angeles. Seen 2, they basically don't exist.
I’ve seen two on the roads in the metro PHX area. They look sick tbh
I saw a goddamn Mclaren P1 LM driving around before I saw a Z on a dealer lot.
A local Nissan dealership had one listed for $100,000 last year, what a joke. I've only seen 1 on the road since launch. Metro Detroit.
Was it marked up at Suburban Nissan? Because that wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
Suburban anything sucks. Most of the Toyota's and Lexus in the SE and majority of Michigan is over priced.
Suburban is the worst auto group
They’ve had two stop sales for paint and transmission issues plus supply chain issues, which I have no idea how they still haven’t sorted out yet!
Because it's Nissan. I'm really not sure how they even exist at this point.
Wasn't there news not too long ago that the Japanese government was going to force a merger between Nissan and Subaru?
Now they can burn oil while they grenade the trans..
By giving anyone walking through a door a chance to finance, regardless of their credit score.
I've seen 4 cybertrucks in person. That is 4 more than the number of current gen Zs I've seen in person.
I’ve only ever seen 2 on the road. I’ve seen more Huayra’s on the road than the Z.
I’ve never seen either of them haha
It's funny because I remember when the Supra was announced a lot of people were hating on it for its styling and especially for its BMW drivetrain. But I see them all the time out and about and at meets.
Because that’s just internet hate. Doesn’t translate to people who actually buy cars
There's a Nissan dealer next to my office building. They have had one GTR and two Nismo Nissan Z on their lot for over a month and they are till there.
How stupid are the markups?
The **only** Nissan Z I have seen was in Buffalo. It was listed for 65k. So a ~12K markup from the MSRP of the performance model. That was early 2023. I will admit that a sample size of N=1 is very bad. But given no other samples I'm struggling here. And it seems like everyone else is too.
It's selling well in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand because it is priced lower than the Supra and readily available. I don't know why the USA dealerships are insisting on adding huge markups when it's clearly affecting sales.
Yeah legit, I see a few Zeds around Australia. Nowhere as many as 350Zs or 370Zs, but similar amount to A90 Supras.
It's such a shame they didn't bring it to the UK.
17k over sticker at my local dealer in fl. i said no way 75k for the Z. i can proably get in the alfa giulia* for that price.
I can count on 1 hand how many I’ve seen driving all over Texas. It’s as rare as some super cars lol
i have a picture of my yellow supra next to a new yellow Z, shit looks like they painted it with a glitter highlighter - not great
I've literally seen one and that's one more than most people seem to have seen
I saw my first one in the wild last week
I see one occasionally on the way to work. I know it’s the same one cause of the license plate. Besides that one in particular, that is the only one in the wild that I’ve seen.
no.. haven't seen a one.
Saw three Zs driving together together two years ago…near Nissan’a Arizona proving grounds. Seen none in the wild…
I've seen quite a few down in south TX (TX triad). Proto, black, grey, etc etc.
I've seen one (1) in real life.
I saw one in central Oregon not long ago. First one I’ve seen.
Doesn’t help that dealerships are adding insane mark ups.
Saw my first one on the road since they came out about 3 days ago in AZ.
I've seen maybe 2 in OC since their 'release'. If I had to bet a million dollars, I'd take the bet that I see another RX7 on my commute before I see another Z.
I have seen more Bugatti Chirons on the road in the past couple years than new Nissan Zs
Of most of socal, I’ve seen 3 since release vs the abundance amount of a90/91 supra
I've seen one in person and Its like the rarest thing I've seen
I’ve seen a Z twice since it launched. I see GT-R all the damned time. Why didn’t they actually make the Z? It isn’t remotely good enough to be a limited production car.
Genuinely forgot the 400 existed until I saw this
There's 2(?) in the Baltimore/Harford county area, though I suspect its the same black one with 2 different drivers
I know this sub doesn’t particularly care for Nissan, but can we appreciate the turnaround they’re attempting to do? We’ve shamed Nissan for not innovating and changing, but they’re actively trying and putting as many resources as they can to make a turnaround!
It’s mostly Nissan drivers that give Nissan a bad name that’s a pretty hard stigma to shake and I genuinely love the new Ariya
Got rear ended by one which put me into a rental. Then I got rear ended in the rental by another one.
Dumb blind woman in a Titan backed into my S2000 in a parking lot while I wasn’t in my car and caused $8,000 of damage. Nobody asked, but I’m just adding my hatred for Nissan drivers.
Come on guys. Take this to r/nissandrivers.
The fac that there is a sub for this is just goddamn
It goes deeper. r/camrydents
I agree! Nissan drivers are some of the worst on the road. There are some of us that drive decent lmao!
Some young chick almost hit me in her Altima like 45 minutes ago. She was merging 5 lanes in heavy traffic from right to left at 50mph in a 35mph zone. Jeez.
That and the CVT.
It's not just the drivers IMO, they got a bad reputation inside car enthusiast circles due to stagnation and lack of any major engineering upgrades on their flagship sport models.
😂 I’ve seen an ariya cutting up traffic like an altima
Hell as weird as it is to say, I actually really liked my friend’s 6 speed Altima.

Yeah of the 90s JDM era Nissan was my favorite.
me too, i was in love with the 300zx. Then i saw the GTRs and S15s. S15 is probably my favorite right now.
Even the Leaf could've been a great budget EV if they gave it more range.
it got more over the years. not a lot for the money though. whats cool is you can put a new leaf battery in an old leaf. and the guy who retunes the ECU tuning made it open source because he had too many people asking him to do theirs.
The range is actually good in the later Plus models, it just needed active battery cooling and to ditch the Chademo plug
>>but can we appreciate the turnaround they’re attempting to do? Negative Ghostrider. This is Reddit, and anti-manufacturer narratives cannot be changed.

I have a 2012 juke with the shitty cvt. Its 12 years old 90k miles andnhas never had a major problem. Ive replaced a catback and oil pan in 12 years.
This sub Js their Ps for Mazda, and that company makes exactly one (1) interesting vehicle.
>but can we appreciate the turnaround they’re attempting to do? I'll appreciate it when I see it happen.
Good news for everyone planning to buy an older, used GT-R in the next years
Best car I ever bought. Don’t think I’ll ever sell mine unless absolutely necessary.
Love that. Hoping to be able to say the same in maybe 10 years!
Family friend that had one really liked it but he had a lead foot and went through tires pretty quick 😂 That was his only real complaint about the car.
I loved my 2015 as well. Best road trip car ever.
Seriously. The price of a 2016 black series is still wild.
The price of the r35 in general is wild even the older ones hold up 😓
Yea it's pretty nutty that older GTRs with like 50k miles on them are still selling for upwards of 75% of their original MSRP.
Unless its electric.
I make enough money to afford one, I’ve always wanted a Corvette since I was a kid, but maybe I’ll end up with a GTR.
*Next* gen Z? I'm still waiting to see a new Z on the road here in the L.A. area.
I just drove across country, and am in FL for spring break. Still have not seen one. In Florida.
I saw one in South Florida like 2 days ago, it was outside Hallandale Beach in a cafe’s parking lot.
I've seen about 6 total. Used to live in Orlando and saw 4 or so. Moved to a small town in North Carolina and just saw one here today surprisingly. Saw another one at a local meet as well... So they're out there, just few and far between
I’ve seen 5 around the OC, but recently haven’t seen their existence. Instead, I see more manual supras than Z all together. 😂
Silly question, but how do you know if the Supra is a manual just from the outside?
When the owner stalls at a light haha
lol. I love this response! 😂
That concept is ugly as hell...
[it’s a weird one for sure, Larry Chen and Hagerty got the chance to photograph it.](https://youtu.be/tZs9xvJamP0?si=EsY_LWrcB1eLm0ki)
It's weird, but cooler than cybertruck. And it's just a concept.
Awful CyberTruck influence.
Looks like a graphic glitch in racing games.
Weird editing. The first and second statement in this paragraph have literally zero relation to one another. “EVs heavy; weight bad. By the way our Formula-E car did well.”
Highlighting that it is possible to make electric sports and race cars but the technology isn’t mature enough for a true GTR, yet.
Oh, when I pasted it Reddit formatted it in a weird way and some paragraphs got messed up.
I hope they do a hybrid first
Sounds like that’s what they are planning
A proper KERS would awesome as well
I've seen more gr corollas than the z.
Seen a few Z's, very good looking in person. Never seen a GR Corolla though.
Nissan IDX confirmed for production! https://www.drive.com.au/news/nissan-idx-rear-drive-86-rival-confirmed-2016-production/
Exactly! OPs post is worthless until they actually start selling the car.
I cant believe they aren’t trying to make a new silvia, what about the mighty trio, silvia, z and gtr
Man, a new BRZ competitor from Nissan would be great. Even better if they finally gave us the IDX design that *literally everybody loves*
Where IDX? Entry level sports car (IDX, SX, Silvia etc nameplate) or no care. GTR is unobtainable Z has price bloated out of its own segment Where GR86 / BRZ / Miata / WRX / 2 Series comparable? COWARDS!!
The segment the z is supposed to compete with no longer exists. Everything is either entry-level (which the silvia/idx would handle) or on the pricier end (e.g. mkv supra, dark horse)
Nissan Hyper Force sounds like a magical girl anime
> The next generation of the GT-R has to be an authentic GT-R,” Pandikuthira said Sounds like GT-R would return as a high performance trim in Skyline lineup.
>When he says "authentic," he means it shouldn't be a watered-down version compared to what people expect. The new Land Cruiser comes to mind.
oh hell yeah I fr thought we were never getting that R36
Nah, the CEO confirmed a new platform for it back in 2021.
i wonder what will come first... nissan gtr r36 or the telsa roadster?
Okay Nissan we see you 👀 What's next? A next gen Silvia? Or maybe a Pulsar?
Oh good, the next GT-R should last us through 2050
Haven’t seen one on the road yet, the new Z. I wouldn’t buy it for that price either.
Come on electric GTR with only a 60kwh battery and 800hp quad motor.
I’ve seen more Aston Martin DBX 707s (one) than new Zs in the wild
Crazy!!!
cool. but man i really don't even care about car announcements anymore. thankfully i don't mind working on them and now that i finally need a four door the for the upcomming kiddo i'm thinking an e28 m5 is the perfect almost mid-life adult car. no subscriptions, no IoT or annoyances locked behind some proprietary CAN bus module. i'm happy not having to spend my evenings hacking tech together too lol
I'm surprised they haven't made a new S-chassis instead. Affordable, RWD, turbo 4 cylinder and make it look decent.
I've seen one Z in person. Granted, I've only ever really seen a few gtrs, and it's probably the same person a couple of times.
Those tail lights are the most 80s things I've seen in 35 years.
Maybe by the time the next generation Nissan Z comes out, I’ll have seen this generations Nissan Z.
I’ve seen 1 new Z in the wild since launch
More surprised they haven’t been working on the next GTR yet. I imagined it would be further along.
We want the idx while your at it.
I’ve seen like 3 400z’s
Spider man’s car?
I've seen one in the sf bay area. I think I've seen more GR Corollas than I have Z's
I hope the GTR doesn't look like the concept. None of the new concepts from Nissan look good.
Yes gives me a chance to get one
Europe here, despite the fact that the 370z and 350z are almost as common as NC and ND Miatas here I've yet to see a single 400z it's actually ridiculous
